We had Sunday breakfast here and I tell you, the crab benedict and it as off da hook!!! Two thumbs up and i do recommend you order the pecan french toast… can’t describe it but it’s not as sweet as you would want it but was just right! I had the big cup of coffee… delicious!

I would give this place five stars for their honey chicken salad croissant sandwich alone – delicious! The staff was always very friendly as well. Unfortunately, they tended to come off as a little disorganized whenever I was there. I also found their hours a little confusing and annoying. The prices are a tiny bit steep for Savannah too, although I don’t mind them that much. On the plus side, it’s a quiet, friendly environment to get some work done. All-in-all, it’s a well-rounded place to get a bite or drink when you’re on Broughton.

I really wanted to love this place, I did. And sadly, I went on a not-so-empty stomach for lunch date. Instead of one of the fine paninis on the special that particular day, I simply stuck with the french onion soup(one of my favorite soups). It wasn’t half bad, but it was only have good at the same time. As much as I attempt to stray away from chain restaurants, I’m going to say it… even Outback has better soup than I had here. But I’m willing to try other things next time, though I don’t know how many chances I give a place.(soon soon, Café Ambrosia) However, I’m not going to bash the place entirely over one bowl of soup. The service was decent(though the place was absolutely dead because of the horrid rain) and fast, which I enjoy… even in a sit down establishment. The atmosphere is lovely and the corner of Broughton and Abercorn is great for people watching. They even have a «bar» at the window so you can laugh at SCAD kids falling trying to ride their bikes. A+ for the location, you can’t get much better in downtown. Worth a try if you’re in Savannah and want a casual lunch. And they have alcohol, which is always a plus in this kind of setting.

More like 2 ½ stars… Sorry Ambrosia, I’ve wanted to feel warm & fuzzy about you but… For one thing, it always smells(sometimes vaguely, sometimes strongly) like the floors have been mopped with a dirty old mop, almost moldy… Also, they either need to make clear lunch hours, or get more flexible about breaking out the lunch fixins. For example, my friend & I showed up for lunch at 11:15am one day and were told that they don’t serve lunch until 11:30 «sometimes more like 12». So the next time we wanted lunch at 11ish, I called before we came, asked when they start serving lunch and they said they were serving. Then the NEXT time, thinking we would be safe to show up at 11:25 for lunch, we got the old«we don’t serve lunch till noon»! Which resulted in us leaving. Now, I understand if it’s a full restaurant that has to change chefs, and re-organize the kitchen from breakfast-lunch, but this is a café, where there are 2 people working, alot of stuff is pre-made or easily warmed up in the same oven that they’re heating the breakfast croissants in, and the only hours on the door are when they open(8am) & close(5?). Is it really so hard to make a sammie and spoon out some pre-made tattie salad a few minutes earlier than usual? I guess so, because they would rather lose diners! Some items are yummy, like that tattie salad but not worth the lunch hour guessing game…

Not bad — we tried the paninis and the bread was good; however, a little bit more substance could go in between the bread. Great atmosphere with windows overlooking Broughton St.

This was a great little place to stop for a late lunch. I had one of their paninis… don’t quite remember the name but it had red peppers, goat cheese, and a pesto sauce and it was delicious. I also had one of their lattes and it tasted great. The atmosphere was very relaxing, fun furnishings, and spacious. It only took about 5 – 7 minutes to get my food. I’ll be sure to visit again my next trip to Savannah!

This is a cute little café to stop in and grab something to eat while shopping on Broughton. I wouldn’t stop here if you’re in a hurry. Everytime I’ve been here it takes about ½ hour to get your food. Their sandwiches are good and their potato salad is awesome. The workers are very friendly. Prices are around $ 8 for a sandwich that comes with a side.

Went in the day time to escape the rain. Ordered: — sweet tea: super light, will probably order something else — iced coffee — two kinds of quiche that looked really promising but weren’t able to eat — I left it out too long :( Staff was very friendly and kind.

I loved this place, I thought it was really cute, relaxing, and the food was great. I ordered the grilled legume croissant sandwich, which was delicious and my girlfriend got the spinach salad with gorgonzola. They ran out of gorgonzola so subbed a maytag blue instead, which is a way better choice anyway, so the salad ended up being superb! If I were a student in Savannah, I would definitely make this place my favorite study/hang out spot. The location is great, the people working there were really friendly, and the most important thing of all, they had a clean bathroom! Next time I go back, I definitely have to try some of their actual coffee drinks, but for now, the food is pretty damn good and the price was great.

Best coffee. Best espresso. Best Paninis and Salads. Best PEARTARTS. Friendly Staff. Charming and comfy atmosphere. True appreciation for regulars. Great attention to wandering/sometimes indecisive tourists. And my favorite, outdoor seating w/umbrellas to shade the hot Savannah sun. Love it! Love it!

A great atmosphere here, yes, but I find their coffee and their lunch menu both a little sub-par, to be honest. They also have odd hours and seem to close early. .. you’d think given the location and number of college-aged folk in town later hours, at least on the weekends, would be smart. The staff is very friendly and upbeat, I will give them that. I feel that everyone associated with this establishment truly tries to make it a great experience but the lunch menu, mainly sandwiches and salads, has not contained a single item I found to be good enough to come back and try again. Hence, I’ve worked my way through most of that menu and remain unimpressed. Their coffee I feel is not as good as Starbucks’ either. That said, I really want to like this sweet little place. .. I hope it improves, because it’s got a prime location and is very cute.

Super friendly staff and they even make their drinks with soy. This was a surprise to me since I often experience difficulty finding soy drinks whenever I go out of town. The place is clean and the ambiance is fit to hang out, people watch, work, or read a book. I had a business meeting there and the atmosphere helped us to have a relaxing conversation. Café Ambrosia is a cool place to have a cup of coffee. All the customers who came into the store seemed very nice and considerate too.

Whenever, I’m out of town my favorite thing to do is find a fun, cool, funky, little coffee shop where I can work, get online, enjoy, good coffee/tea or snacks, and get a taste of the local flavor. Café Ambrosia is my spot for Savannah. The staff is super friendly… I met my boyfriend there after a few hours and they had already learned his name and remembered what he ordered. They were really great about helping me find something on the menu. The tea was brewed just right and the sandwich was both good and filling. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. You can lay on a couch while your friend works at their computer. You don’t feel rushed to anything. I love a coffeehouse where you can both work and relax. I will definitely visit again.

Café Ambrosia ranks as the best café in Savannah in all categories — atmosphere, quality of coffee and food, location, and price. In the four days that I visited this fun city, I went to Café Ambrosia twice(and considering the number of other coffee establishments in the vicinity that says something!). Feel free to try all the others — but Café Ambrosia will be the one that you come back to.

This coffee shop has a wonderful atmosphere. It has couches and comfy chairs with coffee tables, mimicking that of the living room you’ve always wanted. Delicious coffee drinks and they’ve had the best apple cranberry pie!
