Terrible, rude, slow service! I was so appalled at how poorly an employee treated another customer that I’m writing this review. The employee told a bicyclist(from a large tour group) that they could make a quick, cold ham and cheese sandwich for him. The bicyclist paid, then waited over 10 minutes for the sandwich while employees stood around talking and not working on the order. When the bicyclist asked«how’s the sandwich coming along?», the employee started yelling at him«What do you want me to do?! You can’t cut in front of all of these other people.» Then starts yelling«Here’s your precious sandwich! Oh dear god! HAILOBAMA! HAILOBAMA!» That was completely out of line and not called for. The other employees just giggled and the bicyclist left without much comment. The customer sitting next to me said she’d never been there before(neither had I) and we agreed we’d never come back because the service was so rude. My order, winter chicken and pear salad was ok. It took 15 minutes to prepare. B. Matthews and Panera have better salads and service for $ 9.

Absolutely awful! The waiter couldn’t keep his fingers out of his mouth or hair while handling our food. When asked to go wash his hands he replied that he was really busy(there was one more table there). The food was also bland at best. No one enjoyed their food and it ended up making my sister sick.

On a Sunday morning with little open, this was a good, solid option. The menu is not that impressive but I did enjoy the«baked» french toast — it served its purpose. If you have few other options, this is a safe bet.

Good food, great vibe. I was visiting Savannah and fell in love with the city. This place has a relaxed atmosphere, is fairly spacious, clean; décor is light-hearted with a retro feel. Lots of natural light and cozy seating. Good coffee. Had an egg and cheese biscuit that was delish!

It was 102 degrees and as humid as the wet screen of a swamp cooler. We walked to Leopold’s first for an ice cream treat but by the time we got there couldn’t remember why we walked that far. Surely it wasn’t for the long line of tourists that made it necessary to stand on the sunny sidewalk on this exceptionally hot day. Surrendering early, I headed for the nearest oasis and found a surprisingly good frozen smoothie. Not a bad backup plan as it turns out. Next time maybe I’ll beat the crowd and head directly here instead.

Baked French toast was disappointing. Eggs and bacon were good, but that’s hard to mess up. The service was fast(a little too fast for baked French toast? Microwaved?!) and friendly.

I am sure I would have liked this food; however, I was NEVER served. Chalkboard in the front said«self-seating». After me and my friends sat down we waited and waited– no one came to take our order despite the waitress seeing us. Our group decided to leave but my friend wanted a drink. She went up to the register and waited 15minutes to order a drink but the waitresses blatantly ignored her. There were 2 other groups who came in after us and sat down and were actually served their food in the total time we waited. Worst service I have ever experienced. Won’t come here again!

Quiet when we walked in, mid afternoon. Nice décor. Nice staff. Reasonable prices. Molly our server was nice, kept asking if we needed anything. Next door to Leopold’s icecream.

I was very happy to have found this little café for lunch. It’s exactly what I was hoping for! I opted for the California Club [see photo], laying down the $ 2 upcharge to get the cup of crab bisque over the included options(salad or soup of the day). The sandwich: turkey topped with bacon, avocado, lettuce and tomato with a pesto spread. It was delicious. Once I picked it up I finished it without pause. The crab bisque was also good, although maybe not worth the extra $ 2. The staff all seemed very friendly, even the guy that was out there cleaning up the tables stopped to ask how everything was. Great experience overall.

The food makes up for the odd guy at the counter, the high prices and long waiting time. They should update their website prices as they do not reflect their $ 2 higher board prices inside and turn the«OPEN» sign off when the place is closed. Unlike any other cafes in Savannah, they know their flavors and ingredients for sure!

My wife and I were on a trip in Savannah and needed a nice lunch, and were a bit overwhelmed by the recent greasiness at some other Savannah establishments, so we wanted something lighter and more healthy. Caraway hit the spot. My wife had a great Greek Salad which she rated an 8.5÷10, and I had the best and most unique Tuna Melt I’d ever had. It was an actual piece of tuna(not tuna salad) served with avocado, cheese, and some greens. It had a great flavor and texture, and was an unexpected treat. I give it 4 stars and not 5 because of the cost. It felt like it should be an inexpensive lunch place, but our meal for two was $ 25(one salad, one sandwich, and one soda). Not exorbitant for the quality, but a bit more than we expected. Overall it was a hit, and I would certainly go in the future

I went to Caraway today to pick up a salad before returning to my office. When I got up to my office, I opened the to go box and was underwhelmed by my $ 10(with tax, no beverage) salad. I didn’t have time to run back down, so I called to let them know. Ring, ring, ring… no answer. I didn’t have time to return, but at least they could tell future guests if they were out of avocado, or tell the kitchen guy if he was forgetting to put it on. So, then, I went to the website… the«contact us» form wasn’t working. But this is what I wrote. Hi there– just wanted to let you know, I ordered your turkey chopped salad to go. Once I got back to my office, I realized that there was no avocado on it(the reason I ordered it). I don’t remember if the menu at the restaurant said bacon too(the below description is pulled from the menu on the website, seem out dated with old pricing, locations, etc) but my salad didn’t have bacon on either. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know so you don’t disappoint future patrons. The salad was very underwhelming for the $ 9+. I work within a block and wish this healthy choice for lunch was more reliable. Chopped Turkey Salad Onion, Tomato, Sunflower Seeds, Avocado, Bacon, Goat Cheese, Whole Grain Vinaigrette So, I guess this review is really aimed the the restaurant’s management. If you want the surrounding business people to frequent your café for lunch. Step it up. Otherwise, I will just walk a few more blocks to B. Matthews. Oh, you also should probably know that no one in my office goes for coffee in the morning because it taste icky. It almost tastes like you reuse your grounds? We all chipped in for a Kuerig and brew out own coffee now.

Great food and service. My husband had the falafel wrap with quinoa salad. I had the caraway cheese steak sandwich with artichoke salad. Both orders were great and tasty. All the staff seemed friendly and helpful.

Really, really tasty breakfast! The Cup to Cup coffee and barista were phenomenal. Much better than Sentient Bean! Also, it’s a great location.
