CBQ eatery is the one place I think of when I want to have an amazing meal. It is like a local Hard Rock Café, without the ridiculous wait times, hype and average food. I have yet to try something new here that wasn’t amazing. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They are always suggesting new things to try, and they always win!

Great rock atmosphere and amazing food. Took a group of people here and had a great time. The burgers were amazing and so was all the other food. Everyone had leftovers it was so big. Loved the atmosphere and will go here every time I am in the area

Really wanted to enjoy the place put can’t say I did. Overpriced for not being a sit down restaurant and the overall food quality was poor in my humble opinion. I prefer my food to be hot. .I’ll even take warm but my pulled pork and brisket sandwich was border line cold. Very greasy and a soaked bun. I can understand how another reviewer said«no love» went into the food.. generic dish. I wish i could pinpoint what exactly was wrong with my Cibolo cream corn but all I can say is that something went wrong. Consistency? Def flavor. .something for sure. I did like the way they call your number with little cards all representing a band, show, character etc. They seemed to have a great beer selection and service was friendly. This is obviously a favorite of many so I can only advise you to try it and see how you like it. They’re many different options on the menu and I can only vouch for my dislike of two items. *side note: my husband and I both became ill hours after eating. :(can’t say we’ll be visiting again.

I’ve been here twice already and have not been disappointed with the quality of my food here, so extra star for a good burrrrgerrrrrr! You order, you get drink, you find table, you sit, they bring food. That’s all the customer service you’ll get here. Oh, go try the spicy sauces near fountain drinks. I mix them with ketchup to dip the fries in for some fire. My favorite burger is the blue cheese with regular fries. That’s all and wash it down with a cold beer or big red. I like music and rock so it is fascinating to look at all the posters on the wall. I like to sit by Marilyn Manson.

This place is amazing. Not only are the employees awesome but it has a great laid back atmosphere. Fairly priced and the food is delicious. Burgers here are on these special buns that are outstanding. Plenty of drink specials during the week(2 dollar bottles on Thursday) and a solid lunch menu.

Do yourself a favor, go here. Now. Really great food. Burgers are amazing, and the option of regular fries or sweet potato fries makes CBQ have my heart forever. I tend to always get the San Antonio cheesesteak and its bliss. The only downside to it is that it is super messy because of all the goodness of the sauce, so if you order that, beware! Its still bliss though. Recently I ordered the standard burger and it was mouthwatering. The people are super friendly and the whole rock n’roll theme is freaking awesome. The only complaint I do have is that they change how you order and sit almost every time. Sometimes theres a hostess, and then sometimes you’re left to fend for yourself. It’s just confusing and sometimes you may look like an idiot cause you don’t know the protocol that day.

I can’t give this place less than 5 stars. Once again everything was delicious and we had our favorite lady Trish here to take care of us. She definitely makes this place extremely comfortable and her hospitality is off the charts. She really looks like she enjoys helping others have a good meal. Hats off to the chefs. I had their signature cheesesteak and it is amazing. As a big fan of cheesesteaks it takes an exceptionally good one to make me smile. I’m ear to ear on this one. Their house cream corn is great as well. It has a poblano vibe to it. My wife and son enjoyed their burgers as well. I know my son liked it because I didn’t hear a word from him and he loves to talk. Can’t wait til the next time and hopefully Trish is still here.

Neat place to eat. They would have scored higher, but my bun disintegrated. I got the green chili cheese burger and added bacon. It was good, but not as good as the Hatch chili bacon cheeseburger that I got at Freddy’s recently. I thought the fries were really good. My better half got the pulled pork. I got to try it, and it was fantastic. She also got the Mac & cheese which she raved about. The help was really good. They spent a lot of time with us, explaining the menu and offers, so that we would be happy with what we ordered. We will return.

The food was amazing. We were all happy with what we ordered. We shared the BBQ chips which were amazing. When we go back we plan to get them and drinks so we can eat more of them. The BBQ chips are homemade chips with BBQ meat, chives, blue cheese etc. You order and then seat yourself and they bring it to you. The wall décor is fun and reflects the owners dj past but the chairs and tables are average.(I prefer comfy clean booths)

What a pleasant surprise. The Chicharito was seriously bomb. Sour cream and frito chips with other flavorful items on a burger. The BBQ sandwich was also reall, y really good. Great sauce and slaw on the sandwich. I ordered the creamed corn as a side. This was a rookie mistake, it wasn’t bad. Just no Rudy’s. Fries for the win.

Friendly service and relatively clean inside and out. I had the pulled pork and chopped beef sandwich. ALL I TASTEDWASGREASE. Everything was not even hot. And I make better homemade MAC and cheese. There was absolutely no love on my plate. All hype here. I think people who like this place are just looking for something different and not some place good.

Alright, here I go again: HOLYHELL. The rundown(conversation pieces of the evening): Me: Selma Speed Trap. Whatchew say??? Selma Speed Trap!!! I be seein’ the pics and I WANT. Chicken fried bacon? Fried egg? Burger? Hells yeah, lay it on me! Well, not literally but if that’s what you’re in to… Partner in crime: Ordered the special of the day — sammich made up of BBQ brisket end pieces. Whaaaatttt? Both of us afterwards: I’m full. Sorry — couldn’t hear you. My stomach is blocking the path of soundwaves to my ears. We’ll have to talk later on.
We both ROLLED out the joint in sheer happiness. Server ROCKED. Finis.

A great place for BBQ without the usual BBQ experience. This is much more rock and roll than rhythm and soul, but that’s part of the goodness. Aside from brisket, they have brisket, chicken and lots of appetizers on the menu. Everything is served up sandwich style(unless you want to go full bore) and the sides are great. The bread is AMAZINGLY sweet and fits in perfectly with the smoked meats and spicy sauces. I have to give a shout out to the fried pickle spears which are the best I’ve found in the city. No, they’re not the silly little chips, but the big long spears ready for dipping in ranch. It’s a little hard to get to — exit 3009 and go down the west(Southbound) access road just past the KFC/Taco Bell. If you go past it, just turn right and circle back through the industrial park.

This place has definitely got to be put on your«out of the way» places to eat. It’s out in Schertz nestled just off of IH-35 and FM3009 and well worth the drive. My favorite burger is the Selma Speed Trap — it’s a cheeseburger topped with a fried egg and chicken fried bacon — that’s right folks, I said chicken fried bacon! WOW — this burger really pops! Speaking of poppin’, you have got to try the Punk Potatoes — home fries, bacon, chives, cheddar, pepperjack, CBQ’s signature beer cheese sauce — kinda like an exploding baked potato. Their pulled pork sandwich is also exceptional — I could go on and on about the other items on their menu, but then this would be too long to read. Git out there and try it fer yerself! ;-)

I stopped in while traveling out of town for business back in July. I was very pleased with the unusual burger combinations on the menu. I ordered a delicious cheeseburger that came complete with Chicken Fried Bacon & a Fried egg. I would stop back in on my way thru town. Try it, you will like it.

BEST pulled pork sandwich I have ever eaten. I dont’ know if the bun was sweetened, but there was a bite of sweetness. Everything about it was so delicious. Perfectly juicy, not overly spiced(try their bbq sauces!), and just melt-in-your-mouth good. I ordered the bleu cheese chips with bbq meat, and it was pretty good. It was a HUGE portion, and a bit too salty. I might get it again, but definitely split it as an appetizer with a small army.

Holy crappola! How did I live like 4 miles from this place and JUST find out about it!!! The burgers here easily shoot nearly to the top of my list. The sourdough buns they use are very tasty, the home made BBQ chips are crunchy and flavorful, the portions are just right and the service was fast. My only complaint was they did not use enough seasoning in the beef itself. If it were not for everything else being so good, I would’ve given them 4 stars but being that everything else was superb, I’ll cut them some slack. I’ve been to several of the other popular burger joints around town and this one trumps them all in my opinion. Try the Selma speedtrap burger, the chicken fried Bacon and fried egg on it are delicious, and don’t forget to add mayo.

All you need is the Chinga-rita: 32 oz of excellent brain freeze. Cool hangout, kid friendly(good menu for them too) and what I ordered(patty melt) was CRAZY good. It was pretty gynormous and one the first bite, I tasted that delicous, toasty texas size, sourdough bread. I don’t I’ve had toast good ever; I actually would’ve been happy just eating the toast… that is until I tasted the patty(my mouth is watering as I type this): big, juicy and perfectly seasoned. The nice, melted provolone cheese complimented the patty and the garlic aioli just elevated the entire dish. Waiter was very attentive and friendly and knew the menu quite well. Don’t walk. Run over and try it. You won’t be dissapointed
