I was on location for a conference, and was running a little late. I am the type of person that needs a daily caffeine boost because life is hard and food is good. I was a little reluctant to go to this«mom and pop» kind of shop, but overall I’m glad I took the chance. Banana bread was ok. Not as great as it could have been though :(It came wrapped in some type of polyvinyl chloride wrap, which many people use for food and non food purposes. However, that made me a little suspicious as to the freshness of their food. Perhaps that was why the banana bread was not as amazing as other foods I’d purchased from different cafés. I got a grande caramel macchiato and it was positively amazing. Italian coffee beans were strongly contrasted by the caramel, but the coffee itself did not lose any of its delicious characteristic despite this beautiful, intricate dance in flavor. I came again the following day, entranced with the flavor. However to my infinite dismay, the coffee had lost its powerful flavor and was replaced by something far less fun; a pale imitation of other coffees, to say the least. In the face of this terrible tragedy that has destroyed my trust despite bravely combatting the winds and rains of a stormy Seattle, I am sad to say that perhaps time has not been an ally of this place. It is difficult to properly rate such a café, but from two experiences I can say that I have been both thoroughly amazed and disappointed, although my disappointment does stem from my preconceived notion that the coffee may be the same. Perhaps the nice coffee making man may have been having an «off» day, or perhaps he had just one«good» day. Regardless, I have a mixed opinion, although I am leaning towards a negative association. While I rate this café 3 stars, you can assume from preliminary exposure that this may be a 4 star café. Please proceed with caution and an open mind. Somehow simultaneously.

Serving coffee with a personality of 2×4. C’mon man, youre in Seattle. Try to learn something from Starbucks. Everything is wrapprd in plastic. What the hell? Kinda reminded me of my Korean mom back in the seventies who covered our entire sofa set with a clear plastic. Lol. By the way, I ordered a turkey sandwich and they give me a pre. wrapped sandwich from the glass case. So, i said I like mine made fresh. Lol. The son gave me somewhat irritated look and told his mom to make one fresh in Korean. Well, she ended up wrapping it a plastic plastic before handing it to me. I guess old habits never change.

The owner was such a great person, very smiley and willing to help. The coffee was delicious as well. We tried the hazelnut latte and the hazelnut macchiato and both were well made, very fresh. The sandwich looked prepackaged but ended up tasting very fresh. Great place overall in the convention center.

I’m visiting my sister in Seattle from Phoenix. I’m staying at the Grand Hyatt in downtown Seattle and decided to do a little coffee-exploring this morning. I walked into the convention center and found this gem! The gentleman working the register and making the coffee was so sweet and kind! I got the Milky Way coffee and it is perfect! Not as sweet as you’d expect which is fine for me. I’ll be back again next time I visit!

Super friendly staff. Had a delicious bagel and the coffee smelled really delicious. Would definitely go back for coffee when I’m less caffeinated. A must stop for breakfast at the convention center. They also have cool and reasonably priced cards.

Hard to beat convention center location. Nice drink options and some okay food selections. Service and prices okay. Shorter lines than other nearby places.

Without this café, the convention center would not be worth going into. Family owned and operated for 21 years, they know how to make your coffee right. Friendly service, accommodating, and great pastries to accompany your coffee. For the downtown Seattle area, the prices are fair and they have a wide selection of flavor options. The coffee is definitely the highlight. Using Torrefazione Italia beans, the drink provides a rich smooth flavor. Definitely beats starbucks!

Located just inside the entrance off of Union, the people that run this joint are super friendly and smiley. On the way to work, I took a stroll through the park just behind the convention center then I decided to pretend like I was a convention-goer and bought myself a latte and a bagel. There’s the basic selection of hot bevs and a variety of baked goods and others snack, clean seating out front. It’s the kind of place that you know is owned by that guy behind the counter so he’s pleasant and wants your business. I don’t normally walk the way I happened to when I did, but I would come here again just to that nice service.

This is a small café at the entrance of the convention center. They made me a fresh veggie sandwich an as I’m eating it, the barista walks over to me with a glass of water. It’s as if he read my mind! That’s really nice service! Food was a 4 for its cateogry(quickie café) and service was a 6.

Cute little café just inside the Washington Convention Center, it saved the day a few mornings when I was in a hurry to get into the convention area, 4 floors up. The service was pleasant and quick, and the coffee was piping hot and yummy! Espresso Caffe Dior also sells morning breads such as croissants, bagels, rolls, and muffins, and some baked goods. The lines move quickly, and you can grab and go fairly easily. There are some seats and tables outside of the Café but mainly this is a place where you grab your items to go.

Was looking for a quick bite to eat close to the convention center and decided to hit this place up because it’s conveniently located on the 1st floor close to the entrance of the convention center. Very short wait, ordered a toasted bagel with butter and an iced tea. The iced tea was fresh brewed and fantastic. The bagel was nothing special, but did it’s job.

Attending a conference held in the Washington State Convention Center, I was looking for a quick and simple breakfast option. My colleagues and I noticed the short line at the Espresso Caffe Dior, and decided it was fate! My friend got a bagel and I chose a mango smoothie. The restaurant also had some delicious-looking desserts. My $ 5 smoothie didn’t take long to make and was really good — tasted very fresh. I liked that I could see all the ingredients that went into it and see them make it. A good place to check out.

first time i step into downtown convention center and i saw small coffee shop that crowded with many of people waiting in line to get a coffee and foods or others. But the most amazing things were everyone in lines knows all the employees and they were so closed together and i though everyone was all friends to eachothers. However, i was next and i ordered the coffee and they’re young two beautiful students were helping me. They were very kind and very polite for everything. i felt i was the boss in this café. even the boss came up to me and sed hi and talking to me very friendly and gentlely. I think this is why there are many customers are here because all the workers knows how to treat customers right and polite.

Ended up finding this place by accident after getting some crepes at La Creperie Voila(which is excellent, see review). Visiting from San Diego and being in Seattle, I wanted some good coffee. I got a small cappuccino and probably the best cappuccino I had during my short visit in Seattle. The foam on the cappuccino was creamy and melded with the espresso so nice. The espresso was strong and smooth and I enjoyed every sip. I don’t know about the food there but the cappuccino was wonderful!
