The place has definitely improved.
I used to prefer the one off Madera, but recently the food at that location is nearly unedible.
The best location in Simi Valley is definitely the one off Tapo Canyon, which remains my first choice if I ever have a hankering for some CJs

The food is good and I like this fast food place. The only problem is that the service is not that good and the prices are too high I think.

Okay I just visited Carl’s Jr. on Erringer in Simi Valley for some fries. I was tempted by the spicy chicken sandwich I had heard about and the server had to tell me to wait to see if it was on the menu as she had never heard of it. I then ordered fries and sandwich and a small chocolate shake, which cost me $ 3.19!?? just for the shake. The only thing good was the actual chicken patty which was nice and crispy. The lettuce it came with was totally wilted and the bun soggy. The shake cup was only three quarters full and the fries were cold and soggy. NEVER WILL I GO BACK!

Stale fries, no sauce, but nice people. Save yourself, don’t stop here. Like, we almost got diarrhea

I’ve been visiting this Carl Jr since for the past 20 years. The food and staff here has always been mediocre, and sometimes food quality tastes pretty bad. So I don’t go very often nowadays.
But during my recent visit here, I was very pleased by the current manager (woman, wears glasses). She was extremely nice and courteous. Food also tastes made properly. Looks like she has really made this place improved!

I was literally waiting over 10min to get service. The guys there were clearly not busy and I had to ask them to help me. That’s ridiculous. I didn’t feel like they wanted to help me. If you don’t like your job don’t take it out on the customers.

There’s an employee here, James, who is very energetic and helpful. He is a nice guy and he really tries to do the best he can. Now when I came here last Sat., there was a guy who was unusually loud and somewhat forward: Hi! I am _​_​_​, what’s your name? He then kept asking, usually ladies, «Are you married?» Even got a hug from someone he think he knew. Fine. It’s just annoying, and after a while it is not cute. How is this related to James? I think they’re buddies. While the meal itself was OK, as in normally good Carl’s standards, which it should be as a national chain, I was just annoyed at the loud demeanor of this person.

Horrible service at this location.

In comparison to a real restaurant, this is definitely not a 4 or 5 star dining experience. But for a fast food chain this establishment is pretty decent. The service is always good,-and if you’re willing to put up with the slight tummy trouble that follows Carl’s jr food, this one is great!

Typical Carls Jr, just what I expected. Nothing fancy, just my good old Western Bacon Cheeseburger combo with sweet potato fries!

I went today at noon for a turkey burger combo, after being at the Apple store getting my phone fixed. First off, the bun was old and stale, the fries burnt but cold. They were not that busy to be serving crappy food! The lady didn’t even give me my credit card back, I had to ask for it after she was giving me my food rushing me through the drive thru. I will stick to the Carl’s on Tapo Canyon. Food there is fresher, and service is friendly.

I used to love coming to this Carls Jr because everyone was so nice and helpful, also it’s close to where we live, but over the past couple of months me, my family and a few of my friends noticed a big change in the atmosphere. They get our orders wrong a lot and no one there seems to be happy or even have good attitudes. My family and I avoid this Carls Jr now and drive a little farther to different ones when we are in the mood for it.

Absolutely the slowest drive-​thru ever. Seriously, 14 minutes with 2 cars ahead of me? Will eat dog food before I come back here again.

This review is for the Jalapeño Turkey burger, it’s so good!!! I totally recommend this burger if you’re watching your pear like figure, like me. This burger has only 490 calories and that includes tons of flavor, check out your local paper for two for one coupons, way worth it!!!

After watching that commercial with the two retardedly hot, mostly nekked chicks eating the burgers off of each other’s cleavage, I decided I really wanted one of their new Memphis BBQ Burgers. (Advertising works really well on me.)
I parked in front of the place and walked up, it was somewhat busy, and I only had to wait for one other person in line. I had a printed coupon for $ 1 off a Memphis BBQ burger combo. I presented and surrendered my coupon. Lady behind the counter asked if I wanted the six dollar burger, or the double patty burger, or the single patty burger. I opted for the single. I swiped my card in the reader thingy, hit the credit button and she gave me my receipt, a table number (#27), and a cup.
I put my receipt in my wallet and walked over to a table, where I placed the table number down, and then went about filling up my cup with iced tea. Before too long my burger was brought over to me, and as it was just within reach, the server stopped to have a conversation with one of the customers.
After learning way to much about a family I didn’t really want to know about, she turned back to me and finally placed the tray down on the table, where I began to work on unwrapping my burger. I was like a crazed 10 year old opening the really big present on Christmas morning. I reigned in the 10 year old long enough to compose my Unilocal photo, and then 10 year old took control again and I took a big bite out of the burger.
The pulled pork, BBQ sauce, cheese, burger patty and fried onion strips all meshed together wonderfully and it was very good. It’s a big burger. The cold iced tea was refreshing and tasty. After finishing off the small sized combo, I was stuffed. I used several napkins to clean off my hands, picked up my tray, and all my digital stuff, and then I went to the bathroom to wash my hands more thoroughly.

I like Carl’s Jr.

Picked up lunch to go here. Not a huge fan of their greasy french fries, their burgers are delicious, and cooked fresh.
On this visit however, I ordered a chicken salad. Pretty good except the fact that most of it was iceberg lettuce. Next time, I’m going to specify «mixed greens» or «all romaine» or whatever it takes to nix the iceberg! Ick. Other than picking all the «white» out of my salad, I enjoyed it.

I asked for a cheese burger with bacon on it and a root beer. They gave me a Bacon Western Burger (bbq sauce, onion rings, etc) and a flat root beer.
I am pregnant therefore, this ruined my day. I hate this place.

I give this Carl’s Jr 4 stars for a reason, back on x-​mas day my girlfriend’s family wanted food, and they all just wanted to relax and enjoy their day w/​o cooking…
No other restaurants was really open nor fast food places.
So this saved my girlfriend’s family x-​mas and they deserve 4 stars bwhahahhaa =)

I’m a night owl so I frequent this place alot because its open 24hrs. I don’t think i’ve ever been to Carl’s Jr when it isn’t dark outside past midnight. I come here So much that the management knows me… and a general idea of what Im going to get. Lol sad… Iknow…
