A bit pricey, but the quality of the fish was pretty good. A nice dinner post-shopping or pre-movie. Our server was very attentive and I appreciate that she had many recommendations from the menu, which can be daunting. Wish they had pictures of the maki on the menu.

Food was okay but the service needs improvement. Our waiter brought us the wrong drinks, food and almost charged our credit card twice($ 300). Glad we caught the error before we left the restaurant. We also have an allergy request by one of our friends which was ignored. We asked them to remake the dish, but they just removed the ingredient and left some of the residue. They don’t quiet understand how dangerous this request was — would not recommend if you have food allergies.

Great food, BAD service I was today in Fuji for lunch with coworkers. We were about 12 people all together. Some ordered lunch deals, that included appetizers. I went for the Shrimp mango. Well, when the dishes arrived, we realized that the chef combined 4 sushi roles that were ordered by different people, sitting in different places at the table. The waitress offered to bring extra plates, but we asked that the chef would separate it. So he removed one roll from the common plate to a separate one, and there was one more round of explaining that ALL rolls will be in separate plates. By this time, I was the only person at the table that did not get any food, the waitress said my dish was coming out. When she brought it, it turned out that it was mango chicken instead of Mango shrimp. I gave it back. Apparently the chef made the wrong dish, and had to make the correct one. By the time my dish arrived, most people finished eating, one of my teammates had her leftover packed, and returned to work while I was still starving. Lucky for the waitress I was not the person paying the bill, because I would not leave any tip, for combining dishes and serving the wrong meals.

Came here for lunch today around noon. It was very busy when we got there but definitely started to pick up about halfway through our meal. We started with an asparagus roll which was lighy and tasty. We shared a chicken teriyaki bento box and vegetable fried rice. The bento box was huge and came with so much food. Everything tasted good, except the edamame which was far to spicy. The vegetable fried rice waa good and had a lot of vegetables in it. It also didn’t taste overly greasy which is always a plus!

Decided to go to Fuji after walking around the plaza and I have no regrets. I am usually very picky with my sushi and presentation but I was thoroughly impressed with the freshness of their sushi and their beautiful presentation! My waitress’ name was Kim and she was absolutely amazing. She was so welcoming and loving, and truly added to me and my friend’s experience at Fuji! Will definitely come back again for the delicious food and for the amazing staff! Kim was awesome, thank you!

I’ve been slacking on my Unilocal reviews, but I had to take the time to write this one because of the excellent service and food! I went a few weeks ago on a week day after work with some coworkers. Our server Hao was absolutely delightful! My coworkers and I loved her recommendations(especially the Spicy Katsu Tempura roll, spicy wings, and Sichuan fried rice). She was extremely attentive to our group(which can be difficult since we are a picky bunch). There was another server on the floor(I think her name was Victoria) who also helped out with some of our questions. The restaurant its self is in a very convenient location on the Assembly Row orange line stop. Not to mention, it has beautiful interior décor and fantastic mixed drinks. I can’t wait for my next work outing at Fuji!

Amazing sushi, especially in the Medford area it is hard to find something this good. The service here is top notch as well, very friendly staff and very patient for any questions that we have. The plates that they use are so beautiful, in fact I’d like to buy the same set if I could find them. Dessert we ordered green tea tiramisu, the cream on the top is good, but the cake is too dry. But overall, I’d recommend this place.

I admit… I was skeptical. A sushi place attached to a mall was a little eyebrow raising. Got a seat at the sushi bar and we were immediately served a few tasting items-all amazing. Ordered several rolls and all of them were visually beautiful as well as tasty. The fish is super fresh and the rolls inventive. The rolls are decent sized and several rolls split between a couple people works well. I wish this place were closer to home for me!!! I will be back despite the drive. –Recommend asking server or sushi chef for recommendations. –Go slow and don’t order too much at first… you will fill up fast.

Had the pleasure of being served by Kenny. This was my second time here and he made this second visit as welcoming as the first. Ordered the dragon maki, scorpion maki, aloha maki, spider maki, duck croissant, and lobster rangoon. All of these were delicious by the way! And definitely not pricey at all. Each maki, appetizer ranged around $ 9. Service: Was great. Kenny was attentive and checked up on our table every now and then and refilled our waters without us having to ask. We also received a complimentary appetizer– torched salmon over rice and it was delicious and crunchy with a slight kick. Atmosphere: It wasn’t too loud and slightly dimmed lighting. The seats were comfortable and the table was big enough to fit the orders. Conclusion: I would come back here again when I’m in the area. The experience and service was great and I hope to see what next time brings!

Stopped in again with the intention of just getting nice quality sushi in a time crunch but instead, we got a dining experience that surpassed all our expectations. I’ve been a patron of the Fuji group restaurants(starting with Fuji in Quincy) so I’m familiar with their menu and their cooking style but this time, it was just different… way different. I liken this experience to striving for that next level as an up and coming Omakase worthy type place and I’m digging it. We sat at the sushi bar and didn’t realize it at the time that we would be delighted with many of the head chef’s complimentary sushi surprises. It’s been a while since I’ve had such a high level of conscientiousness placed on the food preparation along with the great customer service. The head chef asked if we had a favorite fish and the rest was history. We got to try the following(refer to pics as I’m sure the off-menu items will be less descript): Seared Sake Toro Nigiri — Wow, this was AMAZING! What surprised me was that I loved it even though it’s partially cooked. I’m old school. If I’m having sushi and it’s not eel, it better be raw but this definitely turned it around for me. I am forever ordering this as a must-have. 5⁄5 Spicy Tuna lettuce wraps — Nice and light version of their spicy tuna rolls. Always tasty and I like how there’s a crunch in their spicy tuna mix. Tuna sashimi in jalapeño oil — Fresh nice cuts of tuna seasoned with just enough jalapeño to give it a mild kick. So very enjoyable. Loved it! 5⁄5 Tuna sashimi with sesame and cucumber — Again, nothing but fresh, fresh fish and this was accented well with the crunchy bursts from the cucumber and sesame. 5⁄5 Makimono combo deluxe — Opted for the deluxe so we could have a couple designer rolls as opposed to the standard and so glad we did because after all the incredible sashimi creations we tasted compliments from the chef, you bet your ass we can’t go back to regular rolls now. Overall, an A+++ experience and this wasn’t directed only to us. All the patrons around us were treated just as wonderfully. I think it’s a great concept to have people sample what they may not ordinarily have and make them customers for life once they know what they’ve been missing. Hats off to FAA because it honestly takes a lot to impress me and it was done under the radar. I never saw it coming ha!

The decoration in this restaurant is modern and beautiful. An environment is really good as well. Staffs are very active, in a good mood, and professional. Even if it was very busy at that time when I went there, staffs could manage very thing very well. A staffs who serviced out table is super nice. He knew every detail in the menu and was able to explain them deeply. He and chef gave us a complimentary dish, torched salmon in special sauce, and it was so gooddd! However, I think the price is pretty high if compare with a quality and quantity of fish from other restaurants, but overall is good– great!

This is one of my new favorite sushi places of all time! Got the deluxe bento box with the glazed salmon and salmon sashimi for lunch. Everything was delicious! The pieces of sashimi were pretty big, and the shumai and dumplings were incredibly juicy and fresh! The atmosphere was relaxing with great service and lots of space. Would highly recommend!

When someone says ‘lets go to fuji’ I agree. All of the drinks are great, but I especially love the socially awkward and their ever changing whisky ginger cocktail. The sushi is always good and when I’ve had bits of the meals that is great too. Keep in mind that you will need to order rice separate for most things, so that in mind.

Came here with my friend Saturday morning for a quick lunch. I’ve never been there before and I was very impressed with the décor when walking in. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks first. He got a beer & I got hot sake. The bartender was extremely nice and personable. We ordered a few rolls, gyoza, and some shrimp appetizer. I had a great experience there and would love to come back some time. Great service, great food… can’t go wrong.

I had heard excellent word-of-mouth about Fuji and decided to pay a visit. It was a relatively quiet Monday afternoon and I opted for a standard lineup of miso soup, sushi, and an appetizer, all of which seemed reasonably priced. The sushi was a mixed bag. I highly recommend the salmon skin roll, which was crunchy, flavorful, and very fresh. The unagi roll was tasty enough, but in comparison, it seemed rather small and insubstantially packed with eel. Maybe this is the nature of an unagi roll though. I also ordered the shumai, which — in my opinion — was the weakest item. The shrimp and pork filling was rather bland, which gave these rather large dumplings all the heft of a serving of comfort food, but almost none of the savory satisfaction. Ironically, the shumai was the most expensive item that I ordered. Overall, Fuji is a decent destination for sushi and Japanese cooking, but I’ve definitely had better.

Very standard hip Americanized Asian fusion parading as Japanese fare. It is a bit overpriced for what it offers. That being said, the interior and décor is really nice(and the building is very new), and the cocktails were decent. As for specifics: — Chirashi sushi: The presentation was nice and the fish were fresh, but nothing stood out here. The fish selection was very basic with no surprises(just four types of very standard sushi fish), and the rice was nothing to write home about. — General gao’s chicken: Just a big pile of P.F. Chang-style slightly underseasoned chicken(though probably not the best item to order anyways). — Spicy chili wings: These were pretty spicy! Though not in an interesting way. They did not have the addictiveness of any of the places here that specialize in Korean wings(like BonChon). Overall, a decent enough place to hit up on your way to a movie or shopping in the outlets. But, I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here — slightly above-average Asian food under fancy lighting and fancy prices. I feel the same about the Kendall location as well.

This is the new hip Fuji in the new neighborhood of Assembly Square. This area really is a go-to place to do all sorts of activities: shop, eat, watch movies. Fuji. I am an avid follower of this restaurant chain. I absolutely love their Quincy restaurant. While this Assembly Square variant is also great, it misses the mark on some entrees, most notably their Ribeye Steak. It comes on a sizzling plate, with a slice of butter melting on top, but it’s not seasoned at all. A disappointment from the Quincy teriyaki steak which is absolutely spot on. However, their sushi is to die for. I don’t even want to use soy sauce for dipping, because all their sushi is well seasoned to taste. Appetizers are incredible too. Their salmon sashimi with chips is something I could eat nonstop. The décor in here is very modern and classy. Amazing stuff. So, recap. Sushi, amazing. Décor, amazing. Appetizer(sashimi), amazing. Teriyaki ribeye steak, underwhelming. Price, a bit pricey, but what sushi restaurant isn’t? I recommend this place. :)

It’s great to see the Fuji Group expand with such success. I’m a frequent customer of many of their establishments. Fuij at Assembly didn’t disappoint! This place is pretty big. Almost as big as Fuji 1546. Plenty of tables and you can also dine at the bar or sushi bar. The interior is clean, simple, and modern. Although I’m not a fan of their centerpieces; they’re a little in the way if you ask me. The service here is incredible. I sat at the sushi bar and was surprised with my experience here. My date and I were greeted by the owner, Ming, and he made sure that we had an enjoyable dinner throughout the evening. He even surprised us with some complimentary items. And he didn’t just serve us anything he wanted, he asked us for fish preferences first. Wow! Noteable Items: Salmon Wonton Chips Dragon Roll Spider Roll Dynamite Roll Assembly Fried Rice It’s okay: Lobster Rangoon Fried Pork Belly with Chives and Peppers… there was barely any pork belly =( Hard Pass: Potato Slivers
