Smashburger

My 2 kids and I will eat here whenever we ran out of ideas on what to eat on Saturday afternoons. Love their avocado club with grilled chicken. Remember to sign up for their smashclubs for coupons from time to time. Save you some bucks if you are a regular.

Always clean, staff is always welcoming and helpful. I ate here for lunch a few days ago. As I stood in line waiting to order the manager opened another register so I wouldn’t have to wait (bonus)! But I notice after I handed him my card he swiped about 2 or 3 times. Then he called the General Manger over and started quietly speaking in Spanish! (Uhm odd)…
After that he handed her my card and she began to swipe several times before she asked «sir do you have another card this one isn’t working». WHAT? Not working of course I’m not feeling too embarrassed because money is not an issue but others may not know me lol. So I give her my Amex Gold. She swipes that one about 4 or 5 time before she ask «do you have cash? It must be out system.»
Finally I paid with cash. The drinks were too carbonated so we had to drink the lemonade. The food of course is always super hot and good! The fries are tiny/​thin so eating them is more frustrating than pleasuring. This one is very spacious and clean so they do get cool points there. After eating I decide to check my account to make sure I’m not charged multiple times. all I see is debit credit debit credit debit debit credit! Just use cash at this place!

First time eating here on a rare date night with my husband. The food came out super fast. Like I went to wash my hands and came back to the table and the food was there fast. I thought it was a bit odd, I’d not been there before. The food look really good and the fries were bomb, the burger was barely ok. I ate it anyway. Wish I hadn’t. About two hours later I was so sick and it carried to the next day. Which is why I decided to write a review. I will never eat there again! Something about how fast that food came out. Or maybe employees not washing their hands, something was wrong with that food!

What’s not to like about a juicy burger and some smash fries. The seasoning on the fries puts them over the top! My kids always ask to go there but a hamburger with a side of carbs once every couple of weeks is enough for me. My only complaint is that they changed their iced tea. Please bring back the brand of iced tea you used before.

Maybe I’m rating this place very low because I am vegetarian? I got the spicy baja burger with a black bean patty, and it was the most bland burger I have ever ate. I had this a while ago so I don’t really remember what the black bean patty tasted like, but I’m thinking it must have been bland like the rest of the burger because I remember how many times I had to add ketchup and mayo after every bite to give it a little taste. I will probably never risk losing my appetite by going here again :/

Just another greasy burger. Eat it there or the grease soaks through the bun. Fries are awesome. Overpriced IMO.

The fries at Smashburger are awesome. Don’t miss out on the fries when you order. My favorite is the smashfries which are tossed in olive oil, rosemary, and garlic. These days, I order the spicy buffalo fries which are dry seasoned with Frank’s RedHot dry sauce, and it gives a good spicy kick. The burgers are also good, but I would suggest to dine in and eat there as the food gets cold fast when taking it to-​go. I always get the Spicy Jalapeño Baja chicken sandwich and add an extra egg. It definitely fills my craving for a good chicken sandwhich, until a good Burger place comes around in Sugar Land!
By the way, if you enjoy Smashburger, go online and sign up to be a part of Smashclub. They send coupons once in a while to your email for a free side or $ 2 off off meal.

I’ve been here twice now, passing through town. I’ve been to other Smashburgers and I leave this one disappointed. The first time was Meh, but the second time was unacceptable. The order was wrong and my son asked for his burger to be corrected. It came back, wrong again, but he just decided to eat it. This time, there was a spicy pepper or hot sauce stuck in there (not sure if it was on purpose or not) and ruined the experience. We were on the road so I didn’t go back to complain, but wanted to get the word out.

Good was hot, tasty and nicely plated. The restaurant and bathroom were clean. The staff was exceptional! We were politely and promptly greeted and thanked when we left. The whole staff smiled and looked you in the eye. Aaron (that was the name on my receipt… Handsome boy with a Mohawk) took out order and cleared out table.
I’m really writing this review because in a world of rude, out of touch humans (especially suburban teenagers) the staff here really stood out. It was an overall great experience. Thanks and keep being polite and hard working. People notice.

Got our order wrong — even though the cashier captured it correctly. Called to report and they really didn’t care. Used to be a good location… not any longer. Better options close by or find a different Smashburger location

The burgers are wonderful. Be sure to try the fried chicken instead of just beef for your patty. It’s a nice change. They have a good amount of variety and an option to build your own. The patty was big, the veggies fresh, but the bun was still a bit too hard for my taste. Defintely an above average burger.
I thought the Buffalo fries were weak — way too thin and not enough flavor. The sweet potato fries were fine.
Never too busy when I’ve been here. Sometimes there’s no line but I’m always able to find a spot.

Review is solely for the fries and shakes–
Fries were thin and crispy and dressed with truffle oil and a perfect amount of seasoning, yum!
Salted caramel shake-​I could easily have consumed the whole thing (they give you a large glass along with the shaker it was made in that has more to fill the glass with) because it was sweet and milky but thankfully had a friend to split the calories with.

Friendly service, the food didn’t take long to come out at all, the food was hot and fresh and well made. I’d definitely come back!

Excellent food – gotta have the Smashfries – and excellent service. Clean establishment. Love that they have Diet Dr. Pepper in the fountain. A lot of places don’t. The burgers are always fresh, and the meat petty is bigger than the bun (when at most places, it’s the other way around). They’re also really good at making substitutions. My friend got a salad with a meat patty on it instead of chicken, and it wasn’t a problem.
You can get lighter fare there too, including three really good salads, served in neat bowls. The sides are better than just about any fast food joint, and I really love the onion strings.
This particular establishment is one of the bigger Smashburgers in size, and it was well kept when we dined there. I love the Baja burger.
Wheelchair accessibility is fantastic both for tables/​booths and the bathroom and the service lines.

Food does not have a taste, we ordered 5 different burgers and all tasted the same. Price is high if compared to other places

I ordered online and idk how it didn’t go through. So I had to re order again and wait. The staff was nice and did their job. My burger came out a little messy to eat. I had the smash sweet potato fries or whatever it was called. Didn’t taste or look any different from regular sweet potato, so maybe they just gave me regular by mistake.

This location is a hit or miss. On my most recent visit, it was a miss. The girl who took my order had a rude attitude. It’s like she was rushing my order when there was no one behind me in line. My chicken sandwich came out completely burnt. My cousin’s «buffalo» fries were not what we expected at all. Instead of the buffalo sauce, it was more like buffalo salt seasoning. They just literally sprinkled red colored salt on top of the fries.

Very fresh salad, juicy burger (mushrooms &Swiss), love the sweet potato fries, ! A new place to take family eat there.

It’s alright. Everything is smashed to like an ¹⁄₈ of an inch, but it’s pretty good.
I got the buffalo fries and they were insanely salty. Couldn’t finish them.

Service is always fast and friendly. Food is terrific. If you want a tasty burger, this place is a rockstar. I had the deep fried veggies which I thoroughly enjoyed.
