Wonderful dinner tonight in a pleasant atmosphere. We were warmly greeted and instantly served. Taylor, our server, gave us some background as to why the streets are stations instead of typical names. For a starter we ordered the blue crab beignets that were scrumptious! I tried the simply grilled tile fish, which I had never heard of before and it did not disappoint, tender and sweet, very mild, delisio! My husband had the crab pot pie which he loved. Great service, great food!

We had a lovely dinner. The jalapeño margarita and the Salty Bear were excellent coctails. For an appetizer, we had the calamari which was the perfect amount of food. It was served with a black garlic aoili. For entrées, we had the salmon lightly grilled served with grits and Brussel sprouts and an order of fried shrimp and oysters served with fries and coleslaw. Everything was delicious! The server was knowledge and friendly. We look forward to our next visit.

Meh. I came here for brunch with a large group on a Saturday at noon and other than one more table, we were the only people in the restaurant. That’s never a good sign. The service earned all three of my stars. They were friendly and attentive, and had no issue splitting the check 14 ways; yes, 14. Overall, the food was ok. I ordered the folded eggs; it has to be a dozen per order! It was desperately missing salt which would have made the dish so much better. When I’m in the area, I’d pick Poe’s over Salt any day.

Like many in the area, Salt’s big issue isn’t that it’s bad(it isn’t), it’s that it thinks it’s better than it is. The pricing is a tad in excess for items you can get an equivalent elsewhere. Again, not calling it bad. The raw oysters were perfect and presented exactly how they should be. The catch of the day cooked as you request was really good! The mac was great, veg, fine. There was really nothing in our order I had an issue with. But it’s a pretty pricy menu for one that’s so conservative, dare I say bordering on boring. Staff was flawless. Expect a meal that isn’t memorable but enjoyable to have, probably a little heavier in the wallet than you’d expect it to be.

This place had lovely service, nice wooden décor, and great service. We got a bottle of the unique white(it was nice), and I shared the crab cakes and the grilled salmon — both were excellent. The lobster mashed potato hash brown was super yummy, as was the jalepeno cornbread. The desserts(crème brûlée and the key lime pie) were also good.

Food & service not so hot — though the bride was uncomfortably warm. Such a different experience than last year, which offered surprisingly good chicken livers, which I really liked a lot. This visit, it seemed to be a lot of fried food and marinated not grilled chicken as the menu suggested. I played it safe with Caesar salad with not-grilled chicken. The montepulciano tasted had overtones of dirt and an almost sandy finish. Skip it unless you are desperate
