Benitoite Nails & Spa

This is the cleanest place I found since I moved here.
I am giving only 3 stars for the following reasons :
Every time I go is busy, sometimes I have to wait up to 30 minutes. The quality varies depends who does your nails; sometimes they last other times not.
Many women get their acrylics done by se guy called Phill because he is suppose to be the best. He did my nails once and they were super think and he is to rough to my taste. I always have to hear his weird comments to girls which many times are not appropriate.
Sometimes they are in a hurry and don’t do a quality job.
This last time my shellac lasted less than a week because the girl who did my nails used some kind of tool to fix the excess of nail polish around my cuticles.

Pretty good little spot. They offer a choice of wine, champagne, tea, or water with your service. Got a pedicure for $ 35 that came out nicely. The only thing I didn’t like was everyone trying to upsell you and not subtly either. That kind of put a damper on the experience.

I was really surprised with how my pedicure turned out from all the high reviews. I had a shellac manicure and they look great! But I had a regular deluxe manicure and my toe nails did not dry nice and smooth. I believe it’s the quality of nail polish used or it wasn’t dried fully before applying a new coat. For the price I paid, I expected more and now I have to redo my toe nails myself at home. The massage and everything else was great, just not the nail polish.

this place is AMAZING! the salon is so clean and all of the workers are so nice. I had Rose and she made my nails look exactly how I wanted them! I showed her a photo of the nails I wanted and she was able to do exactly that on my short nails! I highly recommend this place!

Limitless options! Over 500 shellac colors and 150 mood-​changing colors, plus of course, a wide variety of «regular» nail polish. Unlike my past experiences at salons, when I go in to Benitoite with an idea in my mind, it will most definitely come to fruition: the possibilities are endless! Start dreaming!

First time in, not busy on a Tuesday morning which was great. Rose helped me today– very sweet and made sure to ask if I liked the shape and length various times. Will gladly come back.
Note: They do make you buy a kit (unless you bring your own) which you bring back with you — but cleanliness is never a bad thing. And it was like 3 bucks.

Kimmy dose a great job everytime! This place is amazing! They give out wine and other drinks. There is a huge fish tank. It’s clean and everyone is really friendly.

I moved to Phoenix 4 months ago from California and can’t find anyone to do my pink and white nails properly. I’m in Tigard for business for the next six days and needed my nails done. They did the absolute best job on my nails. They look modern, sleek, and sexy. The mimosas also made the experience great.

They were very accommodating when I came in 40 min to close. They were quick and efficient and affordable. They were all very nice and Billy did a great job with my nails. Can’t wait to go back and try something new!

Like others, I decided to try a local neighborhood salon based in the 4 star rating and how many reviews this place got. Sadly, I’m so very disappointed.
I made an appt and actually showed up a little early, and lucky for me, they were able to take me right then, which was a bonus. Color selections are limited, but that’s ok. Menu is pretty standard, even the pricing is pretty standard. But, here’s where my disappointment lies.
When paying $ 66 for a deluxe mani-​pedi combo, one expects it to be executed well. What I encountered was an overpriced basic polish job. My nails were barely cleaned up or filed and the best part, the massage that I always look forward to the most, made my legs and arms go numb from the rubbing being in the exact same spot for however long.
Yes, this is one long, entitled rant. But I can say, without hesitation, I’m never coming back here again. Not because they weren’t polite, not because I had to wait (which I didn’t), but because these folks take zero pride in what they do. It’s your standard chop shop nail salon.

Benitoite nails is my absolute favorite!!! I went to many other nail salons before I found this place and I will never go anywhere else. Everyone who works they’re is amazing, friendly and precessional. I always walk out with my nails looking fantastic and exactly how I wanted. I love the fish tank in the back so while your getting your nails done you have something to look at. Kimmy is are amazing and today I decided to do something fun and get 5 different pastel colors, they helped me pick out what to do and I love it!

Love this place. It looks so nice interior wise and everyone was so friendly. There is a lot of colors to pick from. Got a pedicure from Bobby and a shellac manicure from Tracy. Both great. Bobby gave a really good foot massage! Always a plus. They offer free mamosa’s and the experience was definitely relaxing. Good prices. Can’t go wrong here.

I’m am extremely picky with my nail salons but after trying 3 different places in Tigard, I won’t go anywhere else! I’m always seated quickly and am so relaxed when I go there! My nails are always done to perfection and done quick. The quality work, products, and personable technicians keep me coming back. The salon itself is super clean, modern, and up to date. I brought my 7 year old daughter a couple of times and she loves the «princess chairs» for her pedis. I’ve never been anywhere that offered chairs made for little girls. I also love getting my brows done here. My nails are perfect and my brows are too EVERY SINGLE TIME! I really can’t say enough!!!

One of my better experiences actually. Go Tigard for having an unexpected gem!
They were busy for a saturday afternoon but got us soaking right away and after a wait treated all three of us at the same time. The one step up from the basic mani/​pedi ended up only being a few dollars more and what a treat. This was a true Treat yo’self moment. Wax, massage, buffing, the works. They offer tea and mimosas and such while you’re having your treatment.
The facility is spotless and the service is friendly and very thorough.
As three men sometimes you get looks coming into a suburban parlor but they treated us just like all the other costumers. A real joy indeed.

Exceptional job done on my acrylic-​shellac festive nails! So happy with the turnout. You should all go to Billy, he will make yours nails absolutely fabulous.

I am going to a themed party and had decided to get black polish for the event. I just wanted them to take off the rest of my acrylic set and put on a polish since I didnt care if it lasted as long as shellac…
Well…be careful what you wish for. The woman said it would be faster to run a fake tip under my acrylics to take them off instead of soaking them first. In the process she tore three nails down to the skin so she smeared some super glue on them and continued to the next nail. Then she did my polish and out my hands under a fan and walked away. I sat there long enough for another woman next to me to get an entire new shellac polish. I thought by then my nails would be dry so I reached into my purse and smudged a thumb and the man doing nails said to dry more. During this he got halfway through his SECOND client since id had my nails in the dryer. My woman finally came out and laughed saying «oooh nooo, you can go now!»
Now, 1 ½ hours after leaving my nails are so smudged that some parts of my nail dont have any polish left at all… I am SO disappointed.

I went to this place based on reviews and I was surely not disappointed. This will be the place I go to from now on.
The staff: very friendly, ask exactly what you want and make sure you get it, nice people, good senses of humor. I had a different person do my toes and my fingers and both made funny jokes and did a wonderful job.
The environment: there’s a fish tank with huge fish! It was a very nice touch. I didn’t feel rushed at all and there was very nice lamps and I loved the chairs for the pedicures and the bar for the manicures.
Quality: the man who did my nails, I believe it was Billy, was very good at doing acrylic nails and also very quickly without making them look even slightly rushed. My toe nails also look amazing and not rushed.
Prices: very very fair.
All in all I was very pleased with this visit. I LOVE my nails and I will definitely be going back.

My good friend introduced me to this place… I love it! I’ve been there twice in the past month or so and had a good experience each time. The first time was an appointment, and the second time was a walk in; both times they treated me well.
They are very thorough and efficient with shellac manis; it was $ 35 for a full set and it lasts me a little over 2 weeks. If you go back to get your shellac removed and repainted you get a discount and it’s only $ 25! You also need a nail filer set and if you don’t have one they’ll sell you one for $ 2. I just keep mine in my glovebox so I don’t forget.

I SO wanted to hate this place. I wanted a reason to keep going to my favorite place over an hour each way. I had been going to my last salon for at least 10 years, probably closer to 15. I loved my stylist and her prices. She was worth the trip. But she left and I don’t know where she went, so with no reason to stay, I had to find a new place.
I asked everyone I know and everyone I met for recommendations. Surprisingly, no one recommended this place. I checked reviews for places near where I live, but wasn’t impressed enough with any to give them a chance. Then I checked the reviews for the whole metro area and found plenty of places with lots of great reviews– by people who had only signed up on Unilocal to post one review for one business. One-​time Unilocalers’ reviews don’t do much to convince me.
As soon as I read the reviews for Benitoite, I knew that this would be the place to try; but only once, because I’d convinced myself I would find a reason to dislike the people, place, or quality. Something, Anything, to make up for my sadness at losing my long-​time beautifier.
Yet here I am, writing another four star review. I admit I write a lot of them, but I usually only write a review if a place is near perfect or so horrible that my fellow Unilocalers deserve to know.
I went over to Benitoite after work on Tuesday, arriving about 6:30. I had checked their website but had forgotten until I arrived that they close at 7. They lose half a star for not staying open late. They were very busy but took a minute to find out what I needed and booked me an appointment for the next day. I’m quite certain that they could easily make a fortune if they stayed open till 9 or even later, but they probably make a fortune already so who wants to work late?
They didn’t look as busy when I arrived for my appointment, but I only saw two girls working, Rose showed me to my seat and got started immediately. shortly after that a few more nail techs and a few more customers came in.
I had read about the fish tank but didn’t think it would be so huge! Big fish too. I counted 30 of them, but there are probably more. Rose joked that I could name one and take it home if I didn’t tell her boss. The customer next to me joined in and we started chatting while she picked out her nail color.
Rose is a great multi-​tasker. She quickly got the customer next to me started with polish remover, and kept the phone right between us so she could answer while she continued to work on my nails. She greeted most of the customers coming in by name and mentioned something about them or gave them a compliment. I know flattery isn’t supposed to get you anywhere but it still makes me feel like they care about their customers.
One reason I delayed getting my nails done is because the idea of a stranger using a power tool on my hands makes me a little nervous. The pretty lights, soft music, fish, and Rose’s lighthearted humor were the perfect combination to ease my anxiety.
My nails were quite grown out, about a month I think, so it took quite a bit of work to get them ready to fill. They also use a different brand of acrylic here than at my previous place, so it didn’t exactly match, but she blended it as well as can be expected, and it feels sturdier than the one they used at my former salon. My nails are super shiny and perfect! I seriously cannot stop staring at them.
The price is expensive. They lose another half star for that. The cost for a fill here is the same as the cost for a full set at my old place and more than double the cost for a fill at several of the salons I drove past on my way here. But the ambiance, comfort, and quality are impressive enough that I will continue to get my nails done here as long as I can afford to.
I’ve never loved my nails this much, ever. I usually get them done only once a year at most, then get them filled once or twice before I remove them. Then I wait another year to try again; always wanting to have and love my pretty nails, but always finding something disappointing enough to dissuade me from keeping them. I truly could not be happier with my nails.
