I have had several disappointing experiences with Pottery Barn. I scheduled an in home consultation, received a confirmation call, and then no one showed. Someone else called to schedule an in home appointment as if I had never been scheduled before. I explained what had happened to them. They apologized and promised to show up and that the process would be fun and that they had never heard of anyone not showing. Again, for the second appointment, nobody showed up. I selected and purchased everything in the store and online and arranged it all myself. I needed to return a small rug that didn’t work out as well as a duvet that was delivered wrong(what I ordered was not shipped). The store accepted both items; however, I did not receive a refund for the duvet and the rug was charged to me again, not refunded. Correcting the mistakes was frustrating, to say the least. Almost everything I ordered was wrong or damaged. Delivery was never prompt, convenient, or on time. One table has been scheduled for delivery three times and the delivery company has not shown up all three times. They refuse to deliver on Saturday even though the store promises that Saturday delivery is available. I have purchased nearly 20 pieces of furniture and almost all the accessories for my house from this store and and if I had to do it all over again I would go anywhere but Pottery Barn. Absolutely ANYWHERE else!!!

My love goes here for decorating ideas for our home. The store has a nice feel to it, and is warm and inviting. The selection is amazing for any room in a home. It is a bit pricey, but some times there is just something that is so unique… you just have to indulge. Staff were nice, but not pushy.

I used Pottery barn design services. Laura came to my house and took pictures on her ipad. She asked me a couple of questions. She said that in a week or two she would email me a design with some ideas. She never got back to me with a design. Poor follow up.

I ordered a custom leather sectional on April 142014, to be delivered June 12– many friends reassured me that this was a normal time frame to wait for a custom piece. On May 27 I called their customer service for update and was told that it was shipping that day. But June 10 I got a call from the local store indicating that my order was delayed until July 24 because of production issues with subpar leather. Well, it’s July 23, and I called and they are not quite sure where it is in production, it hasn’t been made or shipped yet. And no one in the company has followed up though I am promised DELIVERY tomorrow. I’m pretty annoyed, this is pretty poor customer service from a company that is supposed to be all about fine craftsmanship and excellence. I am waiting to hear back about the fate of my couch. In truth, I’ve been told that they will«compensate me for my inconvenience,» but at this time I’m not sure if I’m patient enough to wait. I may cancel the couch and just go somewhere else. Now others tell me that Pottery Barn is frequently disappointingly late with their custom orders, so be mindful if this is what you are interested in.

This is where you go to find furniture pieces with that comfy yet modern feel. This is a nice large store with a dining, living, office, and bathroom concept. It has a large selection of rugs and curtains, plus alot of accessories. They really dress the store for the different seasons and holidays. It’s a great place for inspiration to either outfit an entire room or to accessorize with pillows, candles and faux greenery.
