good service, bad everything else… like many have said, such a waste of real estate. food was just so so bad. i really can’t explain it any other way. everything was either salty or tasteless or soggy or stale. we got eaten alive too. we only went because it was steps from our rental but definitely would not ever recommend.

Guess I’ll give it 3 stars. Service was kind of slow. But then again there was a storm outside and the computers was down. They did the best they could. The mojitos were great. I had the meal with the shrimp, sausage and potatoes. It was okay. Nothing to rave about. The sausage had no taste. I tried their chicken tenders which were pretty darn delicious. Conch fritters was okay i guess. The bathrooms aren’t baby friendly. No changing station.

Terrible. Got sat and waited. and waited. Never greeted once we sat. Actually.ignored. Had a large party sit behind us. They were sat and waited on upon sitting. And we were still waiting to even see our server. Another table walked up from the beach. sat themselves next to us and we’re waited on within 3 minutes of sitting. We were there for 20 minutes at that point and had no one even speak to us. Pitiful. Walked out. Food may have been good. couldn’t tell you. Service seemed to be OK to the other tables. there was no service for us.

We love this place! The food is great and mostly friendly people work here. We live in Savannah and frequent this restaurant. We brought our friends from Fort Lauderdale in this weekend and sat down. Michelle which is also a server at Fannie’s on the beach is the worst. I understand people have bad days but come on! We asked about a drink on their menu and she just looked at us like we were stupid, while rolling her eyes in the distance when she found out that she had another table, which was ours. How rude and unprofessional. She just said let me go check and never came back to our table! She put her shades on and went to the outside patio and never returned. Guests are how you make your money honey! We apologized to our friends for her rudeness and left. The manager on the other hand, tall and blonde I believe her name is Kim is so sweet and awesome! She offered to get us another server but we were ready to go somewhere else. If Michelle treats all her guests the same way, which I noticed that she does, she’ll never make any money and will run everyone off. I also noticed that she talks about all of her tables when she walks away and rolls her eyes alot. Just plain rude!

Went in. Sat down. Left. Probably okay if u are staying at the resort connected to it. But otherwise keep going. Many better places. No one greeted us when we walked in. Unless you are staying there you may feel like an outcast. You can’t see a sunset because it is behind you.

We stay at the Beachside Colony so the restaurant is at the pool. Would be nice for a more consistent server around the pool. Shrimp nachos are fantastic. Bloody Mary’s are the best on the island.

We had the shrimp nachos and steamed snow crab and shrimp. Both were delicious! Our server was named Victor and he was very attentive and did a fantastic job.

Wow, hard to find but we’ll worth it. The conch fritters were totally wonderful. Husband had the Ahi Tuna dinner and I had the fried grouper tacos. Both of us were very happy with our choices. We will return!

Really disappointing. We ordered steamed oysters, confetti oysters, and jalapeño grouper fingers. The oysters were bad, very strong tasting. And the grouper fingers were way over cooked! Oh, and $ 9 for a piña colada in a plastic cup. Just a shame that this place is so, below mediocre!

Dreadful experience. Slow service in and out. It wasn’t even packed. They kept the same tables dirty for over an hour, their burger choice can only be cooked one way. .beyond well done. Their carne asada tacos do not taste like anything close to carne. They only have 3 side items choices. I think they have poor lighting in the place so you cannot see the food not for atmosphere. Anyway, please stay clear of this mess, cool name and location, but the only thing worth it’s salt are probably the fries.

Glad I didn’t read the other reviews ahead of time. The service is a little slow but our waiter was extremely nice and explained he was also tending bar at the pool outside, so it wasn’t his fault. The conch fritters were excellent, as was the grilled grouper sandwich. So-so on the margarita shrimp salad, but hey, I was the idiot who ordered salad. The double rum runner was excellent and I found it was a big enough serving — certainly comprable to other places we’ve been. It was hot inside — but so was Crab Shack, AJs and every other place we’ve been on the island. Excellent view. I recommend it. Just give yourself a little extra time, don’t get too much in a hurry and enjoy the ocean view.

Enjoy the beachside food and drinks. Never had bad service or sub-par food. Nice people here. Live music occasionally. The only issue is that because it is connected to the resort parking and access is not as direct with other restaurants here. The bar is inside & outside right next too the pool and beachside. If you are staying at the resort it is the ultimate island convenience. I like the nachos and jalapeño grouper fingers.

Restaurant was HOT poor cooling system. no Bloody Mary Bar on Sunday, because it’s a Holiday! Even tho the menu says EVERY Sunday! We were excited to bring friends and extremely disappointed that EVERY has a different meaning to them. To many accommodating places on Tybee to stress about places that don’t accommodate.

It’s really such a shame to have this beautiful and super convenient location to the condos we stayed at, for it to be this bad. I read the reviews beforehand, so we weren’t expecting much. After a long anticipated drive due to some rain and traffic, I really didn’t feel like driving again, so after we unloaded our stuff at the condo, we sauntered down to Marlin Monroes.(I mean, it’s on the beach, just a walk across the pool area, in a beachy, vacation-y area, they at least might have some good seafood, right? Wrong. Yes, the service was slow, but that really didn’t bother us that much, since we were trying to get in «vacation mode» and in no hurry.(If you have someplace else to be, I wouldn’t risk it.) We sat outside and the ocean and pools views are awesome… but took us about 25 minutes to get our drinks(we had already ordered an app and entrees before they arrived.) I ordered a jalapeño margarita and it came in this little itty-bitty plastic cup. Trying to drink it with the tiny straw proved impossible, due to the jalapeño bits, but it was just not good. Do yourself a favor and stick with beer. And speaking of beer, I went ahead and ordered a corona, and then asked for a lime. The server actually handed me two lime slices straight from his hand. Yuck! No plate, no little container, nothing. So no lime for me. The dozen steamed oysters weren’t much better either. They came with some sort of salad garnish in the middle, and only a few crackers. We had to ask for horseradish, butter, lemons, more crackers and hot sauce, and, bless his heart, the new guy in training helping our waiter out(while he was quick) brought us Heinz 57 instead of hot sauce. Womp, womp. We finally got some Tabasco and it was certainly needed to cover up the fishy, over steamed oysters we managed to get down. That should have been a hint right there, but we had already ordered the snow crab and shrimp combo(boiled) This was actually ok, could have used a but more seasoning,(crab wasn’t fresh, and shrimp were a little overdone) but it wasn’t terrible. We ended up ordering some desserts to go, but never got around to them. Good thing is, the condo we were staying at actually allowed you to bring your adult beverages to the pool area, so we didn’t have to bother with this place again. In conclusion, if you are looking for great food and service,(even if you are dog tired from your journey there) call a cab and head someplace else. Or maybe just stick with beer or something fried? Hard pass.

Walked up from the beach for some drinks. The staff was friendly enough and worked quickly. Our friends got the piña coladas, and a guava frozen daiquiri which was absolutely amazing. My husband and I got the house margaritas(eh…). But we will be back to try their food one day.

Atrocious service. Been here an hour and a half and no food yet. Surrounded by 6 empty tables. Still nothing. Staff is rude. Brought wrong drinks. No help offerred. Unreal… Two hours now. My food never came. Comped the meal but it does not matter.

Steer very clear if this place. Yes, it has a great location but that is it. The service is terribly slow, as I write this we have been waiting 1.5 hours for our food and so far only have been served chips and salsa. Food finally arrived, as expected it was not even close to being worth the wait(2 hrs) at this point. I will never be back and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else suffering the same.

This is a great sunset spot! You can take your drink from the bar to the beach(about 5 steps away). We posted up at the bar and ordered some apps and vodka tonics. I was given Skol. Idk why they don’t at least attempt at an up-sell. I’m not picky so I drank it anyway. The ahi tuna wasn’t the best of the best but the tostada was crunchy and after a bit of a healthy shake of salt on the avocado slivers, reassembling of tuna on top it was a delicious app. I could’ve used soy glaze or squeeze of lime to give it more of a liquid kick… We also got jalapeño fish stick things, they were good but the dip they served it with was a total miss. We ended up dipping it in malt vinegar and it was amazing

We didn’t get any food here, but the oceanfront view and the drink selection cemented this place with 4 stars. They also had Landshark on tap — always a plus — and the bloody mary was goooooood. So good. I hear they have a bloody mary bar on Sundays, which I wish I could go to now that I’ve moved. Service was good and atmosphere was nice. There was also parking in the garage, but it was definitely confusing figuring out how to get to the restaurant from the garage… put some signs up please!

My wife and I rented a condo at Beachside Colony on Tybee Beach. The restaurant is located at the pool for the colony. We stopped in for a drink when we arrived and to learn about the area. The bartender wasn’t very knowledgeable about the drink options, local beer, specials, or the restaurant in general. Still we had a good drink and came back for dinner that night. They were supposed to have a live band at 7pm. We got there at 730, no band. The band ended up showing up 2 hours late about the time we finished dinner. I ordered the fish tacos and my wife got the crab cake BLT. The fish tacos were pretty good, but nothing special. The crab cake on my wife’s sandwich was over cooked(as in burnt). But the restaurant was convenient and a good place to relax and enjoy the first night of our stay. Overall, we dinned here because of the convenience, and would do it again the first night of another stay.
