What a fantastic brunch spot! I came here with my father while he was in town, and we both had eggs Benedict. It was delicious! The location is prime for people staying at the ocean front or people going to the ocean front for the day. I will definitely be back :)

It’s ok for b’fast nothing else to say get there early or you have to wait for a table and waiting up to 45 minutes for a table is not fun when you’re hungry.

Great breakfast. Always crowded, but for good reason. Everything is good. Super quick, once you get in, to get your breakfast. Corned beef hash was great as were the pancakes. They are thinner and don’t over stuff you. Always a must stop, when we come to Virginia Beach.

This is a place the breakfast searching can find comfort. 2.50 $ mimosa/bmarys and screw drivers. If your goal is to get drunk twice in one day, this is a must.

Wait time was very long. That’s a sign of something great — usually. A local recommended this place so I decided to check it out for breakfast. The staff is beyond kind. Typical southern hospitality, my waitress was genuinely sweet and very prompt. This is simple so some but to me it’s major… the coffee was delicious! I got just a simple hot coffee and it was strong and piping hot. Breakfast I got scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage and raisin bread toast. Everything was delicious except for the hash browns, really no flavor at all, dry and just not good. Everything else however was delicious.

one of my favorite breakfast joints! $ 2.50 for mimosas! HECKYEAH! the food is so good and very reasonably priced. my absolute favorite thing to get is the Ray Ray. their onion roll is to die for. i always am super full leaving this place and in the best mood. it’s right by the boardwalk too, so after a hearty breakfast and being a little tipsy, why not walk over to the beach and walk it off?! parking is behind the restaurant. You’ll most likely need to wait a little while before getting seated, but the line moves pretty quickly so you’ll be in and out in no time. the wait staff is always friendly and it’s a local’s favorite!

I was greeted with a friendly smile and when I arrived Friday morning with a 30 minute wait. We waited exactly 30 minutes and our server was friendly. Now for the food it was good. I ordered the sweet potato pecan pancakes and they were great. I didn’t need syrup. The sausages were great too. The French toast was good too. I’ll def be back when in town.

Service is excellent. I like the vibe here it’s real chill and everyone’s friendly. They’re pretty good on seating, just depends the time and day you come. I never had a problem. Great place for brunch on a budget and catching up with friends and family.

Amazing restaurant, staff, and food. Went for lunch with wife and DD3 while waiting for our hotel room down the street to be ready. They offer free parking in the back, but I can imagine at busier times of year(or day) that it’d be difficult to find a space. We went at about 1pm and didn’t have issue with finding an open parking space. We were seated within a few minutes after checking in with the hostess. We were sat in the front room. The menu prices were very reasonable for such a touristy part of town. They serve both breakfast and lunch at anytime they’re open. The waitress was very friendly and seemed genuinely happy to have us there. My wife ordered the Catfish Po Boy and seemed to enjoy it(as evidenced by nothing left on her plate). I enjoyed the Reuben ala Maap. Best reuben I’ve had in a while. DD3 had the Classic PB(added the J by request). I also ordered 2 «greyhounds»(grapefruit juice and vodka). The first one tasted like just grapefruit juice, the next tasted just like vodka. They were both good and very reasonably priced. Only thing that could have been better was to have their soup available. They only have one soup on the menu: She Crab soup. After ordering the soup we were told it was all out. Major bummer because that’s my favorite soup and part of the reason we settled on Doc Taylor’s for lunch. Also, my wife had to salt her sandwich as it was initially lacking seasoning. Would definately go again, but maybe a little earlier to ensure the soup is still available.

Classic VB brunch spot on the oceanfront that has been around for years! They’re doing so well that they had to open up a spot next door just so people had something to do while they waited. $ 2.50 mimosas, bloody marys, greyhounds, and screwdrivers! Be prepared to wait for awhile but it’s worth it! I ordered the eggs Benedict(it was called something else but I dont remember the exact name) and my friend ordered the cheese grits with bacon and eggs. My eggs Benedict was absolutely delicious and the hollandaise sauce was some of the best I’ve ever had! We had a great time while the drinks flowed and I will definitely be back when I’m in town again!

This is a must go to breakfast/brunch around Va beach! It’s very affordable and the foods great! It has a homey vibe to the restaurant which makes you feel super comfortable! I ordered the eggs Benedict with bacon instead of Canadian bacon and they gave a generous amount. The poached egg was absolutely perfect, they made it perfectly runny and not over cooked. The only thing they were lacking was the hollandaise sauce. I asked for extra on the side but honestly the sauce was a bit too thin and was a little too buttery but it was pretty decent! I also ordered a side of sausage links which were super delicious! Overall the meal was pretty filing and very tasty. The alcoholic drinks like their Bloody Mary, mimosa, screwdriver and greyhound drink were only $ 2.50! They were pretty small but we’re pretty strong! It was definitely worth it’s price and were super delicious. I would totally recommend a Bloody Mary or mimosa pairing with your meal! Their service was great and attentive! Very down to earth and checked on us often. She was very fast on her feet, patient and made awesome recommendations. Next time I come back to VA beach that will be my go to breakfast place, good food for an affordable price with great service! I learned that most of the better restaurants are not beach front so it’s a few blocks from the beach but in a decent location! Warning the parking in the back is a little tight but there is also street parking!

Nothing too impressive. We went for lunch, and I got chocolate chip pancakes, hash Browns, and turkey sausage. The pancakes were very tasty. And I enjoyed them. The hash Browns tasted like they were frozen, with freezer burn and cooked in old oil. I didn’t finish them. The sausage wasn’t anything special, but it wasn’t bad either. I would easy there pancakes again. Other people in my party got lunch sandwiches which were all good, but once again nothing special. The prices are cheap, the service was good and we got our food within 5 minutes of ordering.

Three years ago, I visited this place because my best friend from college was raving about how great the breakfast was here. My mom, aunt and I arrived in town early for our family reunion and met him for breakfast. Then, I believe, they served $ 2 mimosas. It wasn’t a super busy restaurant, so it was nice to enjoy the view and the company in peace. I don’t remember what I ordered… I think it was an omelette, but the food was amazing. This place was in walking distance from my friend’s apartment, so that was nice except it started to rain as we were leaving LOL. Anywho, this is a nice place to eat and I would definitely return.

I may have an unhealthy addiction to this place. Nothing seems to sway me away, the drink prices are barely rivaled, the food taste like home, I pretty much know all the staff here, needless to say this place is one of the favorites. My wolf pack knows its tradition to come here for birthdays and any other special day. We always joke about coming here in old age. Sunday’s are definitely busier than the rest of the days. Don’t let the 45 min wait deter you from this place, go right next door and get yourself a nice mimosa(or screwdriver, which is a favorite of mine as of late). After a few, 45 minutes seems like 5 minutes. There’s nothing on the menu I wouldn’t recommend. So get crazy!

This restaurant was great! A must go to when in Virginia beach! I had sweet potato pecan pancakes, eggs, and bacon. My friend had eggs, bacon, grits, and toast. All was amazing except the grits were a little low on flavor. The mimosas were strong and delicious and the coffee was in a large mug and delicious as well. All was very reasonably priced and the service was great. Do not miss out on this va beach gem!

Tried out a new breakfast spot with a friend and we both picked this spot out. I am so glad this place has parking because street parking at the beach is ridiculous. We walked on in and got seated immediately in a lovely portion of the restaurant that’s like a sun room. It take advantage of the beautiful beach weather that was briefly going on. My friend and both got some Bloody Mary’s and with a price of $ 2.50 each — it makes it easy to order some and the other alcoholic beverages they have on the menu. I ended up ordering some sweet potato pecan pancakes with a couple of eggs. I loved the pancakes! I ate it all! Service was lovely. It definitely has that hometown feel and our waitress made sure to keep the drinks coming. With a lovely ambiance and awesome drinks, this is definitely one of my favorite breakfast spots in the area!

We tried doc Taylor’s for breakfast and it was much better than the lunch. I had an omelette with a side of corn beef hash. Both were delicious. My girlfriend had the sweet potato pancakes which she loved. They serve breakfast all day so I would recommend going that route versus the lunch menu.

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel front desk clerk. It is hard to find because it is not on any of the maps that we were given for this area. When we arrived it was apparent that this is probably because it is more of a place for«locals.» The restaurant is an old house and doesn’t have any sign. The staff was nice and the food was good. I got the crab cake which was served on a bun with lettuce, tomato and pickles on the side. I was hungry and added an extra crab cake(which was $ 5). My husband got the Po Boy sandwich and was very satisfied. Children’s meals were less than $ 4 and had an interesting selection. My son’s both got the grilled cheese with French fries. They also had a pb and banana sandwich if your kid is into that.

Sitting in the restaurant as I plug this in… My Husband insisted on us coming back to this spot, though the food is aaaaight I’m not sold! We walk in and the kid in the front came off very rude to me but My DH brushed it off. I also notice a lot of «Who are they» starring, like We are Black and we are eating here and PAYING our Money Like everyone else! People don’t stare at us like this in Texas I thought to myself. I order Apple Juice and it comes in a kiddie cup(ridiculous), and a western omelette. My DH ordered a stack of pancakes and some sausage. Everything came out fast and the waiter was pretty decent as well. But I am sorry I cannot give my experience here 3,4, or 5 stars because I felt like we were being categorized and I hate that feeling(if you know what I mean). It’s in a House, it’s clean, and the cheapest breakfast in town so I guess you can’t beat that huh?!? Would I come back? Meh, I don’t know:/ Oh I forgot, they don’t carry Salsa!!! Noooooo!!! I’m a True Texan Now!!! And I’m out… Ghost
