We have eaten here twice and the food and service are fantastic. Prices are great too! Highly recommended!

This was a great restaurant! Our waitress, Robin, was a gem! The food was really good and they had a great variety of food. We were a large party of 11 and we were seated immediately. The only drawback is there’s no parking. But once you park and get in, it is a great experience! Most of us opted out of the buffet and ordered from the menu. Our food came out hot and fast. Everyone who ordered pancakes were excited because they came out hot and fresh! My husband genuinely fell in love with the bacon! The only reason they are getting a four out of five is because the turkey sausage and pork sausage were crossed and I CAN NOT eat pork at all! If I this has not happened, they would have received all five stars!!! If you’re in the area, and can find parking, check out Honey Bee Restaurant!!!

Nice family type place. Breakfast was good. You have the option of buffet or menu which was great for little one to be able to eat immediately. Food was food. Service was excellent. David was a great waiter !!!

I got the honeybee pancake combo. Pancakes are delicious, light and fluffy with great flavor! Eggs were also very good, cooked exactly as requested, soft over-​easy, hash browns were ok. The other place said it would be an hour and a half wait, we were very happy with Honey Bee – probably happier than we would have been!

The food was terrible!!! It was cold with no flavor! The service was not that good! $ 12.95 for a little breakfast buffet!!! If I had known it was like this I would have gone to Golden Corral! My girlfriends breakfast off the menu was just as bad!!! I do not see how this place has 4.5 out of 5 stars!!! I will not recommend this place to anyone! Bottom line is it just is not worth it!!!

Awesome! Customer service was outstanding, and food great! 2hr wait for docs on a Sunday so we decided to try our hand at this place around corner. Was not dissapointed. Our waitress even gave us coffees and sodas in to go cups for drive home. Had queen bee, eggs were perfectly cooked and they gave me a banging fruit salad since Im gluten free and cant have toast. Even coffee was great – had a dark roast Guatemalan. Great way to start the day. Will definitely be back.

Update-​we came back here a 2^nd morning and had the same great food and service. And the buffet was open too!

Had breakfast there on a weekend in Jan. Serving sizes are definitely big so you will not leave hungry. My son, who always orders and finishes his pancakes, could only eat one (of the three) before he was full! Not only were the pancakes delicious, but the French toast and omelettes were very good and plentiful. We especially enjoyed the four different gourmet coffees that are available to you! Lori our server was top notch and made our meal even more enjoyable!

We just had breakfast here and it was fabulous. Everything very tasty and the waitress was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place!

Had breakfast here recently. Possibly one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. The waiter took our order and promptly forgot to put it in – he was busy taking care of the owner and his large party. More than 20 minutes later, when we finally got our order the sunny side up eggs were close to raw, and the over easy eggs were no better. Everything’s else was cold and mediocre at best. Can’t in good conscience give this place a single star.

My wife and I visited Va. Beach for the weekend and stopped in to have breakfast. Very simple, in that they had a breakfast buffet. It wasn’t bad, not great about average. Not expensIve. I believe iT was 12.95 plus coffee. Reasonably good service. The most interesting part is the mural. It’s not wallpaper, it’s an art piece. Nice. I’d go back, but I’d attempt to also try someplace different, not that it was a problem, I simply like visiting as many places as I can. The restaurant is pretty interesting. You might like it, it’s nicely decorated and I can’t address the food off the menu, only the buffet. It’s located at about 22^nd and Atlantic on the west side. Enjoy.

My family loved this place! It doesn’t look like much from the outside, so we were skeptical eating dinner there, being this is a breakfast place. I am so glad we tried it. My husband and I ordered the double cheeseburger special and my daughter ordered the turkey burger with avocado. The food was delivered in a snap. The burgers were perfectly cooked and the onion rings were delicious. Our server, Robin, was one of the nicest people we’ve met in a long time! I look forward to visiting again next year.

The food was good. I really enjoyed my french toast and grits. The service was even better. Our waitress Robin was incredibly friendly and personable. Then after the meal, we accidently threw away our sons plastic retainer and they actually went dumpster diving to get it, and they found it! Then both waitresses that helped us find the retainer, refused to accept a tip. We of course insisted. Anyways we will definitely be back to this place when we are in the area.

Good food for the low prices, very friendly service. Felt very welcome.
The food is roughly on par with what you get at IHOP, maybe a little better. But the service was great, and the seating was instant, compared to Pocahontas Pancakes and Doc Taylor’s 2+ hour waits.

There are quite a few breakfast buffet places up and down the oceanfront area, especially now that season has arrived. Some are good, some are not. Honey Bee fits into the good column.
While I chose not to have the buffet, I did take a look at it and saw that the stuff up there was fresh and a good variety of eggs, pancakes, breakfast meats, French toast sticks and various fruits.
I had a cheese omelet which was cooked as ordered and arrived with a small pile of home fries and whole wheat toast. Very nicely done.
And ordinarily, I’d go with three stars and «A-​OK» but the bonus goes to the guy working this morning who had a great attitude, was super friendly and exhibited a serious hustle, keeping the coffee cups refilled and the dirty dishes removed. Well done, sir.

Honestly love this place! Locally owned and operated, this restaurant loves the Va Beach residents and tourists alike. The food is amazing. I was looking for chili cheese fries and this was my 2^nd attempt in one day and it was amazing! A great helping was taken to go and the price was right!
I definitely recommend this place for good breakfast, a quiet, clean restaurant with a great, professional wait staff.

Amazing… I told my husband my tastebuds were dancing from the breakfast bowl I had. We came just as the off season started, so there wasn’t many people out. David was a wonderful server and very attentive. My husband and I were barely able to finish our food it was so filling and delicious. We will definately be back since we only live 30 minutes away in Hampton, VA.

The price just does not justify the quality of the food.
They have a breakfast buffet, but everything looked like it had been sitting out for a while.
We got the Greek omelette which was average tasting. The biscuits do not taste fresh. Coffee, also, does not taste great.
The best part of the meal were the pancakes we ordered as a side.
For $ 40 for breakfast this place is overpriced.

I hate giving bad reviews but it happens every know and then. I came here after the Shamrock Half Marathon because I was starving and it was close to my hotel. I was seated and got my drink fairly quickly, but that was the best part. I could have ordered fairly quickly but kept waiting for the waitress to come back. After I placed my order, it took at least 20 – 30 minutes to come out and I was the only one in my party. The restaurant had other people dining there, but it wasn’t packed or busy by any means! I got 2 scrambled eggs, toast and home fries. They were OK, but meh. I’m wondering what’s going on in the kitchen at this point. The waitress even came by a few minutes later to give me the check ‘so I wouldn’t have to wait on her’- not exactly what you want to hear, but OK.
I paid at the cashier and she seemed less than thrilled to be there. This place has so much potentially to be a good mom and pop place but I wasn’t seeing it at all
