Opened with a cheesy 8.95 all you can eat buffet with 3 dishes. And not very tasty. lasted a few months. Great management

We had a wonderful New Years Eve at Don Giovanni’s Italian Bistro. They’ve been open over a year and for the most part gotten out all the bugs. We have visited Fe’s(owner/manager) restaurant about four or five times in 2014 and were never disappointed. Pizza(all speciality), shrimp parmigiana, fettuccini Alfredo, and(basic) spaghetti pomodoro and meatballs are our favorites. We’ve had pizza a few times and never had a problem with the flavor or doneness. We also occasionally get a bottle of wine — Chianti DOCG — and even though the wine/beer list is limited — no bottle of wine is over $ 30(but don’t quote me on that). For this visit there were some tables reserved but there was enough room for any walk-ins. They were very busy but not too bad to affect our service. Fe came over twice to make sure things were to our liking. We started with mussels in red sauce which were done to a tasty perfection and we needed extra bread to sop up that delicious sauce. The house salad was ordinary but the house dressing makes up for it. For dinner one of us got the spaghetti and meatballs — perfect house pomodoro sauce; same as the dipping sauce — and four large, tasty meatballs. One of the specials was baby lamb chops which is also on the regular menu. Now, normally prices on the specials are not ordinarily made known unless you ask but they were written on the board. The lamb chop special was actually $ 5 cheaper than the dinner on the menu. It also did not disappoint. Six chops were fire grilled medium sooo tasty and had a sweet glaze, and included a quartered sweet potato and steamed broccoli florets. We finished our celebration with the decadent tiramisu which is home made by Fe, and cappuccino. Overall a great experience. Thank you Fe! We will be returning to Don Giovanni’s often!

On my way back from a trip to NYC, tried the lasagna, absolutely delicious. My only compliant is that they are not closer to my hometown, good Italian food is so hard to find!

I really enjoyed this place. Lunch buffet was great, fresh, hot. Pizza was fantastic. The salad dressings were delish! I talked with the owner for a while, very sweet lady. I’ll go back in a heartbeat! Only thing is that kids do not eat free at lunch buffet so my 18 month old was $ 7 to eat(errrr…pick). Only downside!

I went there with my husband, food was good so was service, made reservations to bring my family. This time food not too good, pea soup was watery with no flavor. We ordered pizza, they placed jar peppers on the pizza that were not dry and the dough was raw never cooked We waited for the waitress to come back. She saw it and had the owner come. They both agreed and they put it back in the oven. There was no way that would cook right, they should have made another pizza, my husbands food did not taste the same as the last time and portion was small. The sad thing is contacting the owner and never a reply. I will never go back, no reason too. How hard is it to respond to a customer and make a wrong into a right.

The wife wanted to go to the Don Giovanni’s lunch buffet due to the large sign outside and they also recently opened. I enjoyed their garlic sticks, pizza & meatballs and the wife enjoyed the muscles and chicken. The Buffet was very good(four stars) but not large.

Tried this place for 1st time. Choice of all you can eat buffet & pretty pricey regular menu(although good variety), especially since décor not great and seating cramped. Had buffet(pasta primavera, pizza slices, baked tilapia, fresh salad w choice homemade dressings, baked chicken, meatballs & sauce). Liked everything except chicken, which tasted great until I got to the crushed bones throughout the thigh! Suggest they move buffet behind wall like previous Greek restaurant had it because very cramped when gets busy & if u are sitting in tables near it, you won’t be able to get up because of the line. Not big on ambience. Seeing a trash/food cart straight ahead when u come in the door not very appetizing. All in all, buffet good for $ 8.99 price for lunch and staff friendly & would return again. But would think twice about regular menu due to price & plain, somewhat cramped surroundings.

The food was pretty good. I had the buffet for $ 8.95 which was pretty good. Small salad tray, garlic bread, baked ziti, some other pasta dish, Rossotto, and pizza. Ooh and pork Marsala? I think it was pork. The food was good. Not a big buffet tho, no dessert choice. Now for the service, um I’m not even sure of they had servers? We sat ourselves and was almost done with my first plate before someone took our drink order. The plates were cleared once. Manager/owner came over to tell us they put veal parm on the buffet and didn’t even clear our plates. Server dropped check and came back 20 minutes later for the payment. I would only go back if they had a spot where I can put my own dirty plates and a soda fountain that I can get drinks myself.

My husband and I went there on a Friday evening and were warmly greeted by a manager who checked on us frequently during our meal. I ordered veal parm which was very good and my husband ordered a pizza roll up which he also liked. Initially we were served warm rolls with sauce for dipping. Their house dressing(Tuscan) was homemade and excellent. If you are Italian, you refer to the sauce as gravy. I thought it was very good even though I am not Italian but I do intend to have my cousin and her husband check it out when they are visiting again. Dessert was homemade tiramisu, again very good. Yes this is a new restaurant so you have to expect growing pains. This is also not a pizza joint so don’t expect to find traditional pizza on the menu other than the rollups. .The night we were there it was not busy but we also dine late to avoid crowds. Service was prompt and the food came out quickly with no delays. We will be back.
