Nice place if you are looking to try somewhere different. We had lovely seating on the screened-in patio. The seafood was very fresh. Portions were pretty small though. We were still hungry after our meal. Not the cleanest place. Service was average.

The only thing this place serves is plates of insipid. Sautéed calamari is a few boiled calamari rings made of latex in a liquid. The baked cod not quite up to New England standard nor to the standard of Attica state prison. Fishermans stew will cause any fisherman to seek a new line of work. Otherwise it’s great!

Fish tacos –Definitely an East Coast version of the taco del mar but well executed. Fish is not fried, the corn salsa is well balanced and the dill tartar sauce completes the mix.

We ate there last Thursday. It wasn’t crowded as it was 3:00 pm and the dinner crowd had not arrived. It’s literally a shack in the back of a seafood market with 7 picnic tables and a gravel floor. No ambience whatsoever and that’s o.k. if you make up for it with the food. The lobster salad was $ 23 and when taken out of the enormous roll and lettuce it wasn’t very much. The fisherman’s platter was just o.k. at $ 32. Although I asked for my french fries to be cooked well done as I like them crisp, they were barely cooked and soft. I had read the reviews and thought I would give this place a try. What a disappointment! Eat at the Bookstore — lobster roll $ 18, fisherman’s platter $ 28, view of the ocean, music playing in the bar, a much better vibe and food.

A standard Cape place that, nevertheless, does it just a bit better than the competition. The fish tasted fresh, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming. Their dill tartar sauce was perfect on sandwiches and tacos. The service was good too. My only complaint would be the margaritas, which were watered-down. But all was forgiven when the food arrived.

We went here for our anniversary and absolutely loved it. Our waitress went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. She was an absolute sweetheart The oysters were very fresh and the lobsters steamed to perfection. Also we were very happy with the bar tenders skills. We enjoyed our drinks. You totally get your money’s worth. We are definitely coming back. Thanks for an awesome dinner

Location: The place is very accessible with lots of parking available. You have the option to be seated«outside» which is pretty much an enclosed and neatly netted area to keep the bugs out or inside the restaurant where it is nice and cozy. Ambiance: It has a very relaxing vibe to it. We eat here every summer and every visit has been great! The atmosphere is casually laid back — just how you’d like it at the cape. Food: I’ve never been disappointed with their food. We’ve so far had their shellfish buckets, lobster bisque, pasta dishes, fish and shrimp tacos.

Great spot. First visit after 30 years on the caps. Well made drinks and really tasty seafood! Oysters and chilled lobster were delish! Everything was done very well! I’ll be back.

We sat outside because the waitress insisted that we should. We ordered two bowls of clam chowder, two sea scallop linguine, a lobster dinner, and a burger of some sort. By the looks of my lobster dinner, it should be good. But it’s not. The lobster wasn’t fresh but tasted bitter like it’s dead for ten years. I know, gross. The sea scallop dish literally had no taste. Basically boiled linguine and teeny little scallops on a plate where they can charge u $ 24/plate. Oh, if u insist on coming, don’t sit outside. We had an inch of dust accumulated on our phones, water, etc. basically eating dirt. I wouldn’t sit inside either, the smell of fish can be so overwhelming. Be warn. My friend had a massive diarrhea after this. Cape cod trip a bit ruined…

Im on a lobster roll hunt while on the cape and this one was just… egh, ok. The roll itself was not buttered or toasted. The lobster itself did not have enough lobster chunks, so im skeptical as to what was used for fillers. I would expect more for $ 20. This gets 2 stars. The grilled veggies($ 3 upgrade) were great; they were flavorful & plentiful, 4 stars here. Total meal experience will be 3 stars.

We decided to come here for dinner since we didn’t want to queue up in the neighbor restaurants. We were seated promptly in the back. The setting is very simple. Our waitress is very attentive and very helpful. I guess that’s all the good things about this restaurant. For the bad; food. We ordered lobster roll(skip it, very bland and small for $ 20), steamed lobsters(overly cooked, both of them and hard to pick on), blackened scallop(terrible), broiled striped seabass(small portion and very bland)… I could go on and on.

How have I not been here before? My life has changed. This place was amazing from start to finish. Super laid back and chill, exactly what you would want from a place on the Cape. The menu is very straight forward. You are paying for über fresh seafood here and not a bunch of fluff you don’t need. The lobster I ordered was cooked to perfection, it honestly was one of the best I have ever had. Heck, even the corn on the cob it came with was awesome. It was as if they boiled it in heaven and delivered directly to my plate. Service was quick, friendly, and accurate. What more could you want? I mean, for real. I will absolutely be back to try out other things on the menu. I’ve heard rave reviews of the baked cod and clams. If you are looking for a laid back place, this is your spot!

Oysters tasted ok, but were shucked so poorly that the meats were mangled and there were pieces of shell in every single one of the dozen. We were served steamers that were rotten. The smell coming from the kitchen was so strong we thought it had to be coming from something else. After just a bite or two it was clear they were bad. I only had a couple, but it was enough to make me sick for the rest of the weekend and ended our trip a day early. This place should be ashamed of serving food this poor. We weren’t charged for the steamers but we didn’t even get an apology after sending them back.

The best lobster ever! The service was great and friendly. Definitely worth the visit.
