Came here with family, after spending all day in Colonial Williamsburg and it was great. Greta tasting food, not expensive and great customer service. 4 stars because we had to wait too long for our food.

This place was a great spot to fill up on Mexican food at a cheap price. I’m a sucker for any place that will provide free, unlimited chips and salsa, so I was in right away. The menu was diverse and included all the classic combinations you would expect from a Mexican joint, but there were also a number of different dishes I had never seen before. El Sabroson also serves pollo a la brasa, but unfortunately they were out of this item when I was there. The food was fine — nothing special, but average Mexican fare. The prices were very reasonable(most dishes were ~$ 10). Cheap prices combined with friendly service makes this a 4-star restaurant for me. I would go back if I were in the area to fill up on some cheap Mexican.

The food is excellent, cheap and plentiful, freshly prepared just for you! Not fancy, not a special date night spot, unless your date is turned on by amazing, Peruvian food served in a comfortable atmosphere… in which case, you are in and you should run, not walk… into the restaurant!!! You won’t be sorry!

Let’s cut to the chase. While I’m not a huge fan of pupusas, the ones I had here were the best I’ve ever had. I tried one each of the Revueltas, Chicken and Chicharron. They came out piping hot with a small side of slaw and tomato sauce. Each bite left me wanting more and more despite already being somewhat full from the free, bottomless chips and salsa. The menu had a little bit of all Latin foods so you should be able to find something you’ll like. We were a little disappointed that they weren’t serving the rotisserie chicken, but everyone was pretty happy with the food they got.

I will start out this review by saying that my wife and I travel a lot and we eat all over this country. Soooo when I say that this place has the best Latin food I have ever had I am comparing to cities across the country. Wow is all I can say. I had the Canton Conbo with plantains and papusas. The wife had a carne asada fajita burrito. We ate every bite of both meals and were blown away with how good and filling they were. It makes me want to move to Williamsburg. We will be back.

In town on business, was looking for a lunch place to go with my co-workers. The place décor and atmosphere is a bit weird. You get modern music playing with loud soccer game on the TV. Next is the food and beverage which was nothing special at all, maybe why it is so cheap. The coconut water in a can was disgusting, at least get a decent brand if you’re going to serve it. The Fajitas came without sour cream, Guacamole etc. Instead it came with this little plate with old looking lettuce, 2 slices of tomatoes, and one slice of avocado. The meat didn’t taste like anything, I put some hot sauce on it. Worst Mexican, Latin whatever you want to call it place I’ve eaten at. We won’t be back.

Good was excellent and affordable. Got the half chicken with beans and plantains. The plantains were so sweet and delicious! Also the fried ice cream was fantastic.

We ordered a chicken and a steak taco salad, queso and chips… but unfortunately every dish was a disappointment for us. The taco bowls were full of veggies which we loved however the protein was missing big time! We could barely find the meat! It was tough and the refried beans were nonexistent inside the steak bowl… why? Because they were UNDERNEATH the bowl??? We were very confused about this? The chicken taco bowl had a table spoon of refried beans. Lastly the queso was very watery! Delicious in flavor but super watery… we really wanted to love this place but it left much to be desired. Maybe it was bc we came 30 minutes before closing? But even still we hoped for a better taste… maybe it’ll be better if you go earlier? Not sure.

We are visiting Williamsburg and this restaurant was close to the Wyndham kings gate. The service was great and friendly. The food was really good. I had the Sobes and was very happy. The chorizo was amazing. Highly recommend. Enjoy

The food was delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food came out fast, fresh and delicious. Don’t let the shopping center exterior fool you. The restaurant was inviting and comfortable. I had the Dustin Especial: juicy grilled chicken, fresh guacamole and warm tortillas — just perfect. If you are looking for an affordable Mexican/Latin meal this is the perfect place. We try to eat locally when we are away from home. Thank you Unilocal for recommending this gem

Terrific food — everything we had was super-tasty. Service was friendly and fast. Is it the nicest restaurant environment ever? Well, no. But unbelievably great value for dollars spent. The pupusas are especially delicious.

First let me start by saying this is a Peruvian restaurant despite how it’s tagged on Unilocal and despite the two Mexican hats on the wall — lol. I confirmed with the server this restaurant is Peruvian. Plus their menu is Peruvian! Ha ha — OMG talking about confusion… I wonder what Chef Robert would say(love Restaurant Impossible). I’m giving it two stars because as a Latina with a husband who is half Peruvian and who knows his food well the usual dish he orders«Lomo Salteado» was not so good. It lacked flavor and the white rice did too. I had the rotisserie ½ chicken with rice and beans and sweat fried plantain. It was just ok. The chicken had some flavor inside and out but meat was somewhat tough to get off the bone. The rice and bean mix not sure why they put soy sauce in it but it made the rice very wet and mushy. My teen ordered the chicken burrito with only lettuce rice and beans(preferred without pico de gallo, cheese and sour cream) and loved it. For an appetizer we ordered the usual«Yuca Frita a la wancaina» and really did NOT like it. The usual way to serve is with the yuca in the sauce. Here they served the sauce on the side. No big deal but when I dipped into it ugh… I do not know what was in the sauce but it was not good. Do not order it. The server was very nice and fast and the place looked and smelled clean. I heart Mexican food. Love isn’t a strong enough word. This place makes me happy. The chips & salsa were good. Chicken quesadillas were just perfection but then when my chicken enchiladas arrived, it was true love. Topped off with fried ice cream, we get it in! Service was on point. Makes me want to move to Virginia.

Read some great reviews about this place so we decided to give it a try. So glad we did! The food is excellent… or to quote my 7 year old…“This food is amazing!!!” The portion size is large. The service is fast. The staff is very friendly. The place is clean. Overall, we are so pleased with our experience.

I always had Peruvian roasted chicken growing up in NJ, but I haven’t found a place that serves the authentic flavor since then. I was so glad I came across this restaurant on Unilocal.Since I came by the establishment near opening time, I walked through Tu Tienda and entered through the side doors leading to the restaurant. I ordered a ¼ chicken with Spanish rice and plantains. Every bite was just as good as I remembered it back then with its juiciness and bursting flavor. Very satisfying.

This place was in a typical strip mall, full of generic stores and restaurants. But this restaurant was anything BUT generic. The service was quick and attentive. The food was authentic and the price was very reasonable. I’ve been to Mexico and eaten plenty of authentic Salvadorean and Mexican dishes here in the US. This little joint in Williamsburg definitely knows how to cater to its mostly Latino clientele and didn’t try to gentrify it for the rest of White America — not that there’s anything wrong with that. Most of the dishes on the menu were around $ 10 and portions were generous. I had the Milanese chicken and my friend had the pollo saltado. We enjoyed them both and would definitely make a return visit the next time we’re in town.

The last 3 times I’ve been the service has greatly improved, as the staff seems better trained and the kitchen staff quicker. Of course the food continues to be outstanding. I really like the Peruvian Chicken they now offer, but still fall back on the tacos the majority of the time. The al pastor and carnitas are both out of this world. Tonight I switched it up and ordered the Pollo al Guajillo, which was two chicken tenders smothered in guajillo sauce, which had just a bit of spiciness, but still a very robust flavor. In addition to coming with the traditional rice and refried beans, it was also served with a nice little salad with avocado and a verde dressing Whether a tourist or local, be sure to stop here for a little something different, with very reasonable prices, tasty dishes with good portions, STRONG margaritas and friendly AND prompt service.
