Oh damn, that was bad.
I was pulled in by their advertisement for «vegan brunch» and could not resist. It was so close to where I was staying — how could I not?! Ugh.
In need of a protein rich, savory breakfast, I went for a tofu scramble. Oh dear. It looked NOTHING like the photo in the menu, and was missing half the stuff it said would be in there. The tofu was crumbled so fine, I couldn’t eat it with a fork. And there was so little of it! I think they gave me an ounce of tofu, and then some veggies smothered in oil. I tried my best to eat it, but it was difficult, taste-​wise and practically speaking.
My soy latte was okay, but not my favorite. Certainly not good enough to bring me back. I had anticipated buying a bunch of vegan pastries to take back to my place, but I couldn’t bring myself to do it after that sad attempt at a tofu scramble.
Thanks for thinking of the vegans, guys, but please try a little harder to at least deliver what you promise.

Yet again I always choose my eating places via the vibe I get by just looking in. A little hole in the wall that I can tell locals visit often so the food is definitely authentic. It is a great place with a friendly crowd and waiters that are polite and fun. The menu includes some vegetarian and even vegan options which is fantastic. All in all the food was tasty and the sangria great! Truly Delicious! I recommend stopping by if your in the neighbourhood.

Un lugar en el mismo centro del Raval. Muy buen ambiente.
Destaco tres tapas por encima de otras: Mini hamburguesitas, patatas bravas y alitas de pollo. Son realmente excelentes.
El precio es adecuado y el servicio en algunas ocasiones es algo desordenado, pero en general es un buen lugar donde pasar la noche con tu pareja o grupos de amigos (hay menús específicos). Hay muy buena música de fondo siempre que he ido y así para mi es un punto extra. También hay exposiciones. A determinadas horas hay cockteles a mitad de precio. El margarita es excelente.

Came for brunch after reading outstanding reviews and hearing good things in general. Had the Eggs Royale (eggs Benedict but with salmon) and was pleased. It was very good but not worth the hype, definitely not the best brunch in Barcelona.

For an American traveler looking for a good brunch, this hits home quite well! I had the eggs benedict and the blueberry pancakes — both excellently cooked and portioned! If I had to pick, I would say the pancakes were better just because the bread used for the eggs benedict is not an English muffin. However, both were delicious! Very hipster décor (a la Frida Kahlo) and theres even a DJ to soundtrack your meal. This place very hip and I will defintiely be returning!

An amazing local spot for delicious tapas and wine. Everything was cooked to perfection. Be sure to get the Lambrusco they carry — so refreshing!

This is a cool hip spot. Food is good, staff is nice, and it’s affordable– can’t beat it.
Order a light breakfast greek yogurt amd two eggs w toast. So good! Coffee and OJ portions are a good size too, not tiny winy like everywhere else.

Dos Trece was one of the highlights of my three week Spanish adventure. The bars in Barcelona really don’t going till about 11 or midnight and clubs about 2:30/3:00AM. Abe, the owner is very hospitable and from the States so it was nice getting cocktails and recommendations in English.

Came here for a few pre dinner drinks. Maybe It was the ‘Adiós muthafuckers’ that made me dig the place but it was a legit spot to get some drinks. Left there feeling groovy and went onto a great dinner.
Didn’t try the food, though the wafting sents that passes us smelled great. To me, this place was all about environment. Dark, red with a lot of character. (The Vader poster in the wall sold me instantly!) There is a lower lounge area that we peeked into and looked like a good place to have a long, relaxing dinner.
I’ll probably check this place out again before I leave Barça.

Dostrece always seems busy, and with good reason. The huge windows on Carmé and Doctor Dou invite you in: everyone looks so happy and comfortable inside! As a bar/​place to get a drink, I love Dostrece. It’s relaxed, centrally located, and comfortable. As a restaurant, I’m very intrigued. I’ve eaten off the menú del día on weekdays and weekends, and generally am pleased. The food is good, though generally the items Dostrece offers are a little bit different, slightly unconventional: sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. The service is adequate, if a bit cool.

Good ceviche, good drinks, great time.

I came in with my hubby really hungry for brunch and expecting a hearty meal with decent service and I’m sorry to say I got neither. We weren’t even approached so we finally went up to the waitress. She very lazily took us to the table and didn’t bother to understand we didn’t speak Spanish.
We ordered finally: café lattes with full fat milk ONLY, mushroom omelette and pancakes. Good but not satisfying and the service just pit a sour taste in my mouth. Don’t recommend

I have been here a few times at night and it is a decent place to grab a drink. I have also been for brunch, which was a very different experience.
We were a group of 10, so were seated downstairs on our own. The service was not bad and the coffee decent. I had the eggs benedict, which was cold and not that nice. My girlfriend ordered the pancakes which were amazing and would definitely be my recommendation for anyone going there.

kleiner, einfacher Laden mit guter Küche. Vor allem der Mittagstisch ist empfehlenswert. Es gibt drei Gänge, die man sich aus einigen Optionen zusammenstellen kann. Diese waren bisher immer sehr gut und ausgesprochen preiswert. Beim letzten mal wurde ich dies jedoch am Abend von der Qualität des Essens sehr enttäuscht ich hoffe eine Ausnahme.
Abends wird es mehr zur Bar als zum Restaurant.
Das Personal ist sehr jung, immer locker und freundlich. Die Gäste eine gute Mischung aus Einheimischen, Studenten und Touristen.

dude, dont come here. we came thinking it’d be great (trip advisor seems to think so) but boy were we WRONG. we were HUNGRY… and usually hunger is the best ingredient to add in when making food taste delicious.
however, sadly, that was not the case here.
We had the brunch menu and ordered the curry chicken. This is the worst curry chicken I had in my life. The chicken was cold, hard, bland and dry. How is that possible?
the portions were a good size, however who cares about how big your portions are if the food itself is NASTY McSHASTY
the ambiance was nice, the waiter was nice the fellow brunchers seemed nice enough.
sadly, the only thing that was good about this place was the complimentary bread and dip, and the lemonade seltzers (however, those are bottled… and made from some other company)

It took me awhile to write a review for this place. A friend of mine is friends with the owners and gave me the hotel name to look up while I was in Barcelona. It took us a few days to locate it and once we did, it was worth it. We had such a GREAT time!!! The staff was extremely nice, and the food was good! I will definitely go back whenever i am back in that area.

I finally gave dostrece another shot. and it was much better this time.
we shared the salad for two — which was a big green salad with a whole bunch of little salads on the side: hummus, grilled eggplant slices rolled up with cheese, ratatouille, tzatziki, bread, deep fried cauliflower… very tasty indeed.
the service was spot on, and friendly — and the wine was pretty good too. so between the two of us, one salad & one bottle of red — the total came to 29 EUR.
I’m glad I had a better time this time at dostrece.

Nice place

El Dos Trece lo conozco de desayunar –una leche con colacao– y de haber estado en su planta baja, al fondo, en una tarima sobre la que había en el momento de utilizarla una especie de santuario de calaveras mexicanas multicolor. A nuestro lado estaba el DJ pinchando temas de ahora y de antes en una amalgama más bien difícil de mezclar pero que el tipo resolvía perfectamente. No tuvo problema alguno en ir poniendo aquello que le pedíamos… pero claro ¡estábamos varios melómanos y procurábamos no molestar demasiado! Bueno, santa paciencia la del chico.
Las copas no me parecieron caras –ahora no me preguntes cuánto fue– pero éramos un buen grupo de 10 personas y la cuenta salió bastante bien.
Decorado entre los años 70 y lo mexicano, con una buena wifi y el pero de que como estés en la parte de arriba y les toque preparar las mesas te levantarán de tu sitio porque «tienen que preparar las mesas». Y eso es algo que nunca me ha gustado, de ahí que sólo se lleve las tres estrellas.

We came here for lunch and were really impressed with our food. I had the prie fix and my husband ordered the burger. My appetizer-​salad with hummus was excellent as was my chicken tikka. My husband’s burger was very good as well. The ice cream we had for dessert was a tasty completion to our meal.

the tea was surprising good and the atmosphere was not so bad.
the staff were friendly too.
i think it’s a good place to sit and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee or maybe a cocktail or two…

Con el DosTrece tengo sentimientos encontrados. Me gusta mucho la decoración, el ambiente que plantean, las mesas, el lounge de la planta de abajo, pero me sobra la gente. Me sobra además el exceso de gente, la aglomeración. Y detesto el tipo de gente. El bar es rollo cabaret, muy años veinte, muy Marlene Dietrich. El público es lo que se conoce en BCN por gafapasta, ya sabes. Si no eres del estilo o tienes ciertos prejuicios te vas a sentir como un pulpo en un garaje. Algo especialmente negativo del DosTrece es que pretendan cobrarte la comida como si fuese petróleo iraní. Una hamburguesa normalita por doce euros… La verdad es que las dos veces que he ido con gente diferente no he pasado una gran velada, incluso las camareras no tienen el menor miramiento contigo si no te ven público objetivo del local. Una farsa…

El Dostrece acaba de cumplir nueve años y ya los ha celebrado. Este es uno de esos lugares que aunque puede parecer fashion, lo es, pero al mismo tiempo tiene algo. Es agradable, buena selección musical y buena plantilla, guapos y guapas. La comida está buena, tienen fórmula menú medio día, la hamburguesa de la carta está para chuparse los dedos varias veces. Apetece comer y también tomar una copa el viernes o sábado noche. Mi piache.

El Dostrece es uno de los restaurantes más famosos del antiguo Barrio Chino. Situado en la calle del Carme, una de las más transitadas de la zona, y a escasos metros de Las Ramblas, este local es todo fusión. Puedes disfrutar de la dieta mediterránea así como de platos típicamente americanos, siempre con un estilo propio y unas raciones bastante abundantes.
El menú del día consta de entrante, principal, postre y bebida a unos asequibles 10.50 €, y es, además, de los pocos de la zona que disponen de menú fin de semana por tan sólo 1,50 € más.
Por la noche, y después de disfrutar de una cena ligera, la luz se atenúa y transforma el local en una coctelería con una amplia carta de bebidas, conciertos y exposiciones.

Ok, il n’y a plus lentrecôte en plat principal mais pour manger équilibré le dimanche midi après un long week end ca reste parfait, surtout à ce prix là

Ganz in der Nähe von La Rambla befindet sich diese nette Lokalität. Aber im Gegensatz zu der sehr lauten und vollen Flaniermeile findet man hier seine Ruhe und kann sowohl draußen als auch drinnen sehr nett essen und trinken.
Der Service ist jung, freundlich und schnell und so saßen wir sehr zufrieden nach einem langen, anstrengenden Stadtbesichtigungstag vor unserer gebratenen Dorade und waren glücklich. Die mit Kräutern, Limone und Knoblauch gefüllte Dorade (EUR10,50) war an diesem Tag «Fisch des Tages», wahrscheinlich frisch vom Markt «La Boqueria» direkt nebenan.
Zum Nachtisch versuchten wir die hausgemachte warme Schokoladentarte mit Vanilleeis auf Himbeerspiegel (EUR6,50). Sehr lecker. Ansonsten rangiert die Küche zwischen Spanisch und Crossover, z.B. Süßkartoffelravioli mit Pesto, oder ein gebratenes Entrecôte. Die Karte wechselt wöchentlich.
Das Dostrece eignet sich auch als Cocktailbar, die Stimmung ist gut und das schön gestylte Interieur lädt zum bleiben und feiern ein. Ausprobieren!

Très bon ambiance et très intime
Pour un diner aux chandelles sur fond de musique jazz ou flamenco, c’est très sympa. Les plats sont entre 7 et 20 euros donc pas très cher. Je recommande ce restaurant.
