Overall a pleasant meal but, unfortunately, my credit card information was stolen by either the waitress or seemingly nice restaurant owner. When calling the restaurant to inform them that my credit card # was stolen at this establishment I was rudely cut off by the owner and was told it was«not my problem». Decent food but PAYWITHCASH!!!

Very nice, delicious meal where you can taste the freshness. Nicely curated menu presented by knowledgeable server. Also, thoughtful portions which I liked. Prepare for a leisurely pace — which allows time to savor each bite. Fun, laid back atmosphere. Drinks were a little pricey, but otherwise top notch. Hope to visit again.

This past Tuesday evening was only my wife and I’s third time at 10⁄09 but it’s already maybe the best restaurant in central Pennsylvania. The menu is always seasonal and is different every time we show up. The chef(s) there constantly create excitement with their dishes so the experience is always new. The prices for the quality of food they produce are almost too good to be true. The couple who own the place are professional, but friendly and warm. Cozy location. Every member of the wait staff take care of you. Simply no fault in the place.

Absolutely wonderful food and attentive service. It would have been five stars if the owner and another table hadn’t been very loudly talking and disturbing the atmosphere, they just went on and on through most of our meal. Would have loved to have had dessert here but couldn’t stand the noise of them yakking.

As always, 10⁄09 was a wonderful experience. Nick & Sara are always so kind and accommodating. Our server/bartender James made delicious cocktails — I had the daily feature, a blueberry pomegranate martini & my date had the blackberry rum cocktail. For dinner we had house made artichoke and sundried tomato ravioli and the shrimp & crab pappardelle pasta. Unfortunately we did not have room for dessert, although James highly recommended their new house made brownie!

The areas best restaurant for fine dining in a casual atmosphere. Very friendly owners and wait staff. Serving quality food, promptly. Chef is a trained Culinary institute graduate. I love eating here. Do yourself a favor, and go get your grub on. The one thing I’ve noticed on the last three visits are the temperature of the food is off. It’s not a big deal and this never happened when Chef was on the line, but I’ve had two burgers and a steak both undercooked noticeably. Whomever is running the flame needs a thermometer and forget the current method. Beyond the temp., the food is fabulous and this just happened last couple visits. I post this so note is taken and they correct it. Otherwise 5 stars.

This place was a great find. Everything was very good. The scallops were perfectly cooked, my steak was tender and delicious. The strawberry puff pastry with vanilla mousse was too die for. Finally, James our waiter was always there but never intrusive. Chime here, you won’t be sorry.

10⁄09 is great. I have been there 5+ times and have never been disappointed. You will def. need to make reservations if you are planning on eating. If you are planning on staying at the Springs, skip the meal there and head into town to 10⁄09.

Have been here at least half a dozen times and wanted to write a quick update to express how highly I think of this place, just outstanding! Still part of our routine, in fact, this place is worth the drive alone from Pittsburgh. I have had seafood dishes, pastas and even the burger, all amongst the best of that dish I have ever had. I tried the burger for fun this past Friday(a last minute decision as I was having trouble deciding between the sausage and shrimp rigatoni and the scallops, two tried and true favorites of mine) and let me say again, blown away. Still dreaming of the parmesan truffle fries to this minute. Never get tired of the tempura olives, such a treat, and the crab/lobster dip appetizer is one of the best starters I have had anywhere in a long time. We have stopped drinking wine here because I can’t get enough of the cocktails. You can get a great bottle of wine at a lot of restaurants but finding cocktails this good and creative is hard to do. Lastly, to chime in on price as I have seen this reviewed by a few others, this is one of the best value restaurants that I know, period. You would be hard pressed to find another restaurant of this quality for this price, more than reasonable. Thank you 10⁄09 — see you again soon, job well done! — Lastly, one suggestion, please bring back the catfish!

3.5 stars. Husband and I decided to make dinner reservations based on all the positive Unilocal reviews. We wanted it to be a family dinner but they don’t provide hi-chairs or booster seats. So we opted to leave our son with the grandparents and make it a date night! While I was disappointed that they discourage bringing young children, I get it… sometimes people want to have a dinner without unruly children over at the next table. We ordered the tempura olives based on all the recommendations. It was interesting but I wouldn’t order it again. Salty, fried cheesiness… I couldn’t eat more than 2. I would’ve gone for something else if I could have a re-do. For the main course, I opted for the scallops with mushroom risotto. There were 3 scallops which was more than enough for me but some people may feel like this isn’t enough. The scallops were cooked very well but I wish they had a bit more in terms of seasoning. The risotto was excellent. For dessert we ordered the banana fosters bread pudding. I was imagining light and fluffy bread pudding with bananas and caramel sauce. What we got was a lead banana muffin that was so heavy and dense that it was difficult to get a spoon/fork through it. I took 2 bites and couldn’t eat anymore. The caramel sauce was delicious and so were the few banana slices cut on top, but the bread pudding was way too dense(not light and fluffy at all). Maybe a scoop of ice cream would be a nice compliment to it’s denseness or at least a distraction from it.

I wasn’t that impressed so I really don’t want to spend much time on this review either … so I am going with a type of review one may see at work(pros, cons listing). So start off this was initially going to be a reservation for 5(wife, in-laws, baby and me) but we changed to splitting our plans to my wife and I going the first night and then possible the in-laws going on the next night. The reason is that it isn’t baby friendly. My in-laws didn’t end up going, and I didn’t recommend that they should. So without further ado: Pros: * Good wines * Big-arse pork chop(was the thickness of two normal chops, and had great flavor) * One of the owners greeted us(the wife to be precise) although, she didn’t seem to be really interested in why we were there, or anything about us in general. Cons: * Bread pudding very thick and pasty … my wife and I had a bit each. We told the owner, but she only told us that is how bread pudding is ‘sposed to be and didn’t offer something else to satisfy us. No biggy, we went back to the resort and had crème brule that went down well with more wine. Your loss 10⁄09 not ours. * Wife’s meal had 3 normal size scallops … three. Lots of money for three. She liked the risotto and that was plenty, but the price was for three scallops amazed me! * I wasn’t a fan of the stuffing, would not be my first choice as a side for pork chops next time … well will there be a next time? * I know this is controversial to some, but no high chairs or support for little ones … I realize that isn’t everybody’s thing, but hey its reality. I really do not want to support places that don’t support me taking my child out. Luckily we had the grandparents with us, but you know not everyone is that lucky. * The tempura olives were good, but not something I would really want time and time again. It was more of a «hey this is different» kind of thing, but after that wears off it’s really just deep-fried olives. So we spent over 100 bucks on this place, but should have saved the trip and stayed at the resort.

Rather than begin with piling on the well-deserved praise for 10/09, I will provide a couple of tips: 1. Reserve on weekends. Don’t think you’re going to walk in and get a table. Don’t think you’ll be able to have a few drinks at the bar while you wait for a table to come open. Don’t even assume there will be space at the bar to eat. It seems that on Saturday evenings poor Sara’s job becomes less restaurant owner and more friendly and apologetic bouncer. In the time we had our dinner, she had to turn away no fewer than 10 groups of people. 2 Save room for dessert. I’ve now dined at 10⁄09 three times, twice for special occasions, and every time it’s been superb. The soup sampler appetizer is creative and fun. Bruscehtta and their salads are also nice starters. We’ve been particularly impressed with their seafood entrees. The scallops and risotto dish deserves its place as one of their signature dishes, and my husband loves their salmon. I don’t think it’s always on the menu, but if they are serving the parfait for dessert, grab it. It’s divine. Finally, 10⁄09 had experienced much success and growth in the time between when we had visited last and our most recent trip, and it was a pleasure to realize that, notwithstanding the stress that can come with managing a bigger place, they still kept the friendly ambience and commitment to personal service and excellence we had remembered. So great to watch businesses like this grow and succeed!

I really can’t say anymore that has already been said about this place. A very pleasant experience from the pre dinner cocktails and our interaction with the bartender to to meeting and talking with Sara and Nick after dinner. Nick and Sara’s passion for their food and dinning experience is evident just in the few minutes we talked with them! The stuffed tempura olives and the rock shrimp risotto were delicious. The pork porterhouse and veggies was perfect. A truly pleasant culinary experience and one to repeat hopefully soon!

Good morning Sara :) If you want an amazing meal with wonderful service then you need to experience a meal or two or three here at this lovely restaurant in Bedford, Pa. From the moment we walked into the cozy restaurant we felt so welcomed… Quite simply it was one of the best meals I have ever eaten and I travel extensively and specifically seek out locally owned restaurants. The creativity in the cuisine and the knowledge of the staff is beyond anything I would have imagined tucked away in a small little town. They truly love what they do and it shows with every touch!

Yes, I planned our lodging based on getting reservations at this restaurnt! Last fall when I learned about this place I really wanted to give it a try. So when I found a groupon deal to the nearby Omni Bedford Springs Resort, I immediately made dinner reservations here! Yes, I love food that much! When I first learned about 10⁄09 Kitchen, they were a BYOB place, NOLONGER! They expanded and have a full bar with cocktails and a lovely wine list.(Ask for the reserve list for the really good stuff!) I hate reviews that are too long so I’ll leave it short. I had the lamb porterhouse special and my husband had the catfish from the regular menu. The mains and sides were amazing. Perfect temperature, perfect seasoning. They were really busy, even on a Monday night, so call for reservations! You will not be disappointed.

I have to go with 5 stars for this charming little restaurant, both for execution of the menu and hospitality. A husband and wife team run this place, and they do an excellent job. I’ve been in twice for lunch, and the food was great on both my visits. The tomato basil soup is a favorite of mine, and the salads and sandwiches are thoughtfully conceived and delicious. I especially appreciate how skilled the chef is at cooking proteins; the salmon and chicken I’ve had have been perfectly cooked, with a moist tenderness that show a real understanding of the craft. My background in restaurant front of house operations gives me a sometimes annoying awareness of service when I go out to dine. I’m not annoyed here, however, just happy. Service is professional and friendly. I find myself really pulling for this place, and I’m glad to see they’re doing well enough to have doubled their space. Great job 10⁄09!

Tucked away in the quiet downtown of Bedford, PA, this lovely little restaurant serves up some praise worthy dishes. My husband and I enjoyed our mini honeymoon at the Omni Bedford Springs and made reservations for our last night at 10⁄09 Kitchen. The restaurant is small, charming, and comfortable. My only complaint is that there was a large group and they were very loud. It definitely took away from our little romantic dinner. But overall, the restaurant is welcoming with warm friendly service. The food is fantastic. After some warm bread and splitting a salad, my husband and I decided to share our meals since we couldn’t decide between dishes. He ordered the seared scallops, which were perfectly cooked and placed upon a bed of rissotto and asparagus. Oh, the mushroom risotto! It was creamy, delicious, and definitely made with love. You could taste it. I ordered the bucatini bolognese. It was homemade and hearty, some of the best! We were too full for dessert, but I bet it’s pretty great. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone staying in Bedford or passing through. Food this good is hard to come by!
