Bad Boyz Bistro

Extremely slow service. We all ordered the shrimp tacos special for $ 8.99. Got 4 tacos with only 4 broiled shrimp on a super small soft taco. No lettuce or tomatoes on the taco. No chips on the side. Will not go back.

Decided to stop into this place during Bedford Fall Foliage Festival instead of eating fair food. Food was just OK. I had a simple bacon cheese burger that was cooked to medium at best despite my medium well request. Wait staff was visibly annoyed to be dealing with increased traffic and made no attempt to hide it. When silverware was requested (despite our table of 4), the waitress only delivered 1 set of utensils. The highlights were that the Wisconsin cheese soup was good and the waitress asked if we would like our child’s food to come out first which we appreciated. If we were more local to the area I don’t believe I would return as the menu carries a premium price.

Went there on a recommendation. I had the pulled pork sandwich, it was ok. Husband had the brisket sandwich which barely had meat on it. Kids 6oz sirloin was not great. Definitely would not go again. Granted we didn’t complain cause hubby didn’t want to, $ 55. What a waste!

We had a couple of beers, some thai chili wings, and sliders – half of them pulled pork and the other half burger.
The only reasons I’m not giving five stars here are (1) the service was slow and (2) the burger sliders were not good. Expanding on (2), we saw on the walls that Bad Boyz had been voted best burger in Bedford, so the poor quality of the burger sliders came as quite a surprise.
That said, the wings and pulled pork were excellent and we’ll be back to have those again.

Don’t waste you time, frozen, microwaved food.
There are to many other places that serve fresh ingredients and made to order food in Bedford.
One star is for the beer and drinks.

Had a quick dinner here on an early Sunday evening, in part because most other places were closed (a vestige of PA’s blue laws?). Had the Italian Stallion… a Philly cheesesteak sort of thing that had reasonable flavor and came with a side of good chips. I’m sure there are better Phillies in the world but this was fine in a pinch. The child w/​us had some chicken tenders which looked grim. All the sandwiches had cutesy names which were too cutesy. Dark interior with really ordinary chairs and tables… designed for high turnover? Really seemed like just a bar (albeit kid-​friendly), certainly not a «bistro.» I would go back in a pinch… decent, not great!

Just had lunch at Bad Boyz around noon today. I ordered the Dallas Melt (grilled chickenbreast with melted Swiss cheese on Texas toast) and liked it very much. Instead of chips I ordered the fries, which cost $ 1.49 extra. They should come with any sandwich instead of being extra. I also ordered the quesadillas as an appetizer, which were tasty. I liked the food and the waitress was nice and attentive, but found the prices a little steep.
My bill for the Dallas Melt, appetizer, and iced tea was $ 24. But, then again, even fast food joints have become overpriced these days.
It was good enough that I plan on returning one day.

Ok. so I had something with buffalo sauce which I now realize I’m not a buffalo sauce girl. The french fries and toppings on it were delicious and a nice size.
The hamburgers are huge so beware.
The mozzarella sticks were probably the best I have ever had.
To the complainers of this establishment… I like the kitchy quirky names of the food. It’s theme based… like most places and drinks. I think the atmosphere is very comfortable and they had a selection of food. Yes. there is a lot of «bar» food… but you also have a selection of things such as salad and pasta. The music isn’t loud and I had a wonderful time with my friends.

Weekend night, maybe 5 tables full but it took an hour to get a meal that wasn’t worth waiting 5 minutes for. Oh, and half the meal never showed up! Stay away! Bad, watered down drinks, flavorless food, terrible service. Save your money.

We hung out at the bar in the back to watch a hokey game and ordered lunch. It’s pretty standard bar fare with apps, sandwiches, burgers, etc. The theme off the menu, having «Bad Boy» names for things was kind of annoying, i.e. The Tony as the name for the meatball sandwich. Just call it what it is, right? Anyway, said Tony was pretty standard, the person in our party who ordered it, liked it well enough. I got The Mummy Wrap, which is a turkey wrap, that was kind of dry. Another person ordered The Wild Bill, a chicken sandwich and he said it was fine. I do like that they have vegetable side dishes, I had broccoli with my wrap. Towards the end of the game we got The Brat app to share (you see how the name thing get’s old really fast?) which is fries with cheese sauce, sour cream, chili & bacon. The fries were crispy and the chili had the right amount of spice. Overall, if you’re in Bedford, hungry, and want to watch sports on TV you could do worse than Bad Boyz Bistro.

We stopped in on a cold day and the restaurant was nice and warm inside. That was the good part.
Otherwise, it was pretty bad. I had the Napoleon. It was terrible. Meat was overcooked and rubbery, and the caramelized onions were missing. There was one piece of cheese, thrown haphazardly on one half of the sandwich. The jus had no flavor. The bread was the best part. I mostly ate that.
My husband ordered a rare burger, but it was served well done. He could only eat half.
The waitress finely showed up, and I told her our complaints. She seemed concerned, but never really came back to the table. Getting the check took at least 20 min. They knocked off 15% of the check, but really it should have been more.
I was warned not to go there. It’s my own fault for not listening. Lesson learned. So I hope my experience can save someone else. Move along, find something else. This was terrible.

Extremely clever place. The menu is highly amusing, and well thought out. Food is good, but not great. I would recommend the mozz sticks (beer battered, very good) though the fried zucchini planks should be passed on.
The garlic parmesan wings might be the best thing i’ve had here, very flavorful, good sized wings. Food is cheap, definitely worth what your paying for. A little dirty and dark inside, it has a dicey feel to it, but nothing to bad.
Not a bad place to grab a beer in the afternoon and some bar food.

Stopped in when in route to Baltimore from Indiana PA as recommended by Unilocal.Glad we did! Great little place in the middle of small town America. We ate at the bar. shared The Fonzie Ayyyyy mozzarella sticks (half beer battered half breaded) and were typical and good! I opted for the Tricky Dick wrap (buffalo chicken with lettuce, diced tomato and pepper parm dressing). Loved it! Nothing overwhelming, but hit the spot! My partner got the Tony which is the meatball sub. He said the same thing. Overall, very good food, very good service and if we ever make it up this way again, would definitely make the stop!

The food and service was very good. The place is updated but has a rustic feel. The portions size of the food was good, though you could share an appetizer which would be okay. There are some tables in the front and then higher bar type tables in the back. There is no bar but you can order drinks as if at a bar. The sound level was from quiet to average noise level. I had the Napoleon which was good and opted for the fries instead of the chips. Hubby had the bleu cheese burger which he liked. He also had an order of hot wings. If you’re a beer drinker, get the 23 oz which is only a little more than the regular size draft beer.

I was seriously underwhelmed by Bad Boyz. I came here with two co-​workers on a Wednesday night and it was completely dead! There was one other table of two the entire time we were there. I had expected a bar like atmosphere with good food — I was wrong. There is bar seating but isn’t even a bar? We entered the restaurant and seated ourselves (no one working at the hostess stand, probably because of the lack of anyone in the place) and finally after about 5 minutes I went back over and got menus for our party. It probably took about another 5 minutes before anyone came out from the back and even realized we were there.
The most impressive thing about Bad Boyz is the menu — not the food, but the creativity that went into the menu item names (which are all names after «bad boyz» from movies, shows, etc) and illustrations and descriptions — definitely a lot to take in. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap, which was named «The Tricky Dick Wrap». I usually enjoy a good wrap with lots of vegetables rather than just meat, but when my wrap came it was mostly lettuce, which a bit of buffalo chicken (not even enough buffalo sauce to make it spicy) and not a whole lot of anything else. Needless to say, I wasn’t that impressed with the food. Overall, Bad Boyz was a letdown for me — I really hope this place is busier on the weekends or in the summer? I think a funner atmosphere and better service would have improved this dining experience for me.

Bad Boyz is a nice addition to Bedford PA, Although the food is lousy and well above the price someone should pay for what they get… wait staff is also really slow and the set up is pretty tight so it gets warm in there really quick.
Overall I recommend eating somewhere else while in Bedford.

The Bad Boyz Bistro is the newest casual dining scene in historic Bedford County and from what the locals have told me, the county fought their hardest to keep these Bad Boyz out of town, but the Bad Boyz won and in a big way! The town loves having this new option for dining and they frequent it often.
It’s a unique atmosphere paying tribute to all the Bad Boyz throughout history, politics and film. Most appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches and entrees are named after a famous bad boy and the menu is loaded with trivia. They also have challenges to see if you are a bad boy, like the Terminator= eat quadruple Bad Boyz burgers and two pounds of fries in one hour or the Hellraiser= eat 10 of the hottest wings from hell in twenty minutes, with no drink! The payoff gets your name on the wall, a t-​shirt and bragging rights.
The restaurant is on the small side but takes great advantage of the space with cherry wood tables with teal Formica designed tops and cherry wood upholstered chairs sitting on a parquet hardwood floor. The walls are a cobalt blue with blond paneling on the bottom half and blue lighting signs decorate the walls, while single hanging clear and blue glass lamps dangle from the high ceiling and reach just above each table. Pictures of famous Bad Boyz are everywhere.
The pizza menu is designed after the famous New Jersey family, the Sopranos, one of the steaks is named after the famous Donald, which reads «the wives got everything except for this steak so „comb“ on over». Appetizers feature names like the Fonz, aaaaayyyy and whoa (beer battered mozzarella), Dr. Evil’s one «meellion» dollar tanglers (onion rings with a pepper sauce), The Rat Pack (a combo of wings, zucchini, onion rings and Mozzarella), 007 quesadillas, I could go on, but you get the picture.
I started with the Charlie Hustle Cincinnati Chili which is served over macaroni (which intrigued me since I had never heard of this before), then it is topped with your choice of red onions, jalapenos, cheddar cheese and or sour cream. The menu reads elbow macaroni but it was served with a large fusilli pasta that was way over cooked but the chili was good. You can opt out of the noodles, which are very filling unless you plan on this as your meal.
The signature rock and roll Bad Boyz burgers are hand formed and black Angus, this is black Angus country so I knew they would be good. All burgers are 10 oz. named and topped differently and they are so good. We shared the «get in my belly, baby, baby burgers», yeah baby, these baby burgers were a real treat.
We then shared the Dirty Harry pork BBQ sandwich, go ahead bad boyz make my sandwich, wow oh wow did I love this sandwich, piled high with slow roasted and perfectly barbecued pork on a baguette hoagie roll, topped with fried onion tanglers and Cole slaw. I asked for the Cole slaw and onion rings to be on the side but I ended up adding them back on and I loved the results!
The Cpt. Billy Tyne was another awesome choice, which was a fried cod hoagie with a huge piece of fried cod, melted cheddar cheese, lettuce and tomato, the roll was perfect and I am so glad we decided to share. I absolutely love a grilled Reuben on a good rye bread, however they use a marbled rye and I am not a fan of pumpernickel, the sandwich is huge and the inside was good, but the bread threw me off, I am weird, but I like what I like.
The real highlight of the Bad Boyz are their famous homemade seasoned potato chips, so addictive it is reason enough to return. The desserts are named after bad girlz and the Frankly Scarlett is a warm caramel apple pie with ice cream and you’ll give a damn that you tried it.
