Island Paradise

Excellent wings. Nice atmosphere. Attentive service.
Would like to have heard music playing… but we were engaged in conversation so it didn’t really matter.
Stopped with friends for wings and a drink and were totally satisfied.
Will return to try dinner next time.

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. THEY’RE THIEVES AND LIARS! I was not fired but got into a car accident and broken my back requiring back surgery which is why i left the company. I worked for this company that are supporting the above employers rude and unprofessional comment. I’ve been there for over 6 months, along with only a few other loyal employees who tried giving this place the benefit of doubt but it just got worse in business and the support from our bosses also went down hill. On a daily basis customers complained about their food and have vowed never to come back. Management never gave a shit or tried their hardest to please the guest. As far as the old staff being «unstable» is just bullshit, most new employees lasted ONE DAY, that’s all they needed to know what a shit hole they would be working for. Those employees quit without so much of a text or phone call. I have loyally worked 6 nights a week, I know way more than this nasty co worker Erin Amanda claims she knows. I don’t give her much time to figure out on her own what she’s gotten herself into.

I’m so glad to finally see this on Unilocal.we went the first week it was open and we were so excited. Well, we were one of 3 tables in there and it took almost 2 hours for dinner for 2. we chalked it up to staff training and figured the food would be worth it… NOPE! I’m sorry, but it’s called Island Paradise steaks and seafood… correction, they serve Chinese food. but the worst take out Chinese place you can find serves better food than this overpriced restaurant. I ordered general tso’s (or sesame, can’t remember) but it came out as sweet and sour style chicken. it was barely edible. My BF ordered the pork chops… it was gray tough and flavorless. served over what they called mashed potatoes but it was like paste. almost as if it was boxed mashed potatoes made days before and reheated several times. just awful. The owners were sitting in the dining room eating steak and lobster (what we expected to be on the menu) and distracting the staff. The «warm bread» was actually cold and fresh out of a bag, not the oven. the kitchen just couldn’t get food on the plates! Awful awful!

In the short of it do not eat there the food sucks. The drinks were overpriced. The baked potatoes tasted like they were made the day before. The pork was tough and beef was like shoe leather. On my way to the bathroom with the runs.

I worked there for 3 weeks and the things I saw were unethical and unsanitary. The beer was old and stale the meats were gray and spoiled the seafood slimy and smelly yet they still served the food to customers. The kitchen staff prepared raw food with no gloves and the bartender didn’t know how to make drinks and ignored the customers completely. The owner on the other hand only cared how his chicken wings tasted had no idea his staff was stealing from him and bouncing paychecks to employees like it was a super ball. I tried to help the business grow better and change these things along with others that I here tried the same and were ignored and let go. I don’t suggest eating or drinking anything in this establishment unless you have your last will and testament in order…
