They are quick, I know their sandwich selection, they are affordable. They are slightly better than McDonald’s and other fast food restaurants. I am happy that they were near my gate, but there really is nothing much to be said about Subways in general. And this particular location did not stand out to me, in a bad or good way. Sure bet when you are in a hurry to get some food in IAD.

Con: service is sloppy; they should listen first and then serve people; the cashier women should learn to speak clear english; Pro: its a regular subway

I never ever eat at Subway… but for only $ 5.30, that footlong Italian sub was perfect for the 4.5 hour flight back to San Diego.

Yes, I know it’s silly to write a review of an airport Subway. However, I have been super annoyed by the employees several times over several years(I’m flight crew), and no one responds to my emails to corporate. I LOVE that one can get semi-healthy food on the road complete with veggies. It would be nice if the employees actually knew the names of said veggies. Furthermore, since they don’t understand(or pretend not to) they randomly throw some random stuff on it. Gross. I hate iceberg lettuce. The New jalapeño bread is pretty good though.

Very slim pickings for healthy options at this airport. When forced to choose between a 15min wait for a hamburger, or 3 mins for a sub… I’ll go with subway

The prices are comparable to Subways outside of airports! Woohoo! The place is big — imagine a typical sized Subway. I had no issues ordering and everything tasted great. I didn’t eat in their seating area; instead I went and sat at a gate because I wanted my space.

This is a very bad Subway location. That’s the only way to describe it. Yes, it’s the airport, so you shouldn’t expect something amazing at an airport, but still, it’s pretty bad. First off, there’s a huge sign in the front staying that they do not accept airline vouchers. The whole point of being in an airport this is to be a convenience for airport customers, even ones who have been delayed for hours. What a sham policy. Plus, the people here are two or three times slower than at a normal subway, and i really don’t know why that is. I always end up taking the sandwich onto the plane, and it pretty much falls apart each time because of how poorly they construct it. You would think all Subways are basically the same, but this one definitely disproves that theory.

If you are in the verge of death due to starvation, go ahead and eat here. If your schedule allows it, seek nourishment in a different terminal. Starving and stuck on the ground due to mechanical issues, I decided to get a breakfast sand which. One person in front of me ordered a double chicken chopped salad. The sandwich artist did not chop it, just threw items in the salad bowl and handed it over. Bad sign. She then ignored me for five minutes, as a line started to form behind me. She continued to do side work, occasionally yelling to the back in another language. Eventually I got my flatbread ham and egg, but could not help feeling like I was inconveniencing the women working there. My bad!

Another Subway restaurant, but with decent, normal Subway prices instead of the inflated costs you usually find in an airport. There was a long line but it moved quickly. The staff did a pretty good job of staying organized and keeping the subs moving down the line. Getting a $ 5 footling in an airport was the best thing about traveling through Dulles!!!

I was so happy to arrive at IAD about 10 minutes early, because this meant I was able to get lunch. Yay! With not a lot of quick/cheap options in Concourse D, Subway seemed like a winner. The line was about 10 people deep, but it was moving quickly. I ordered a personal pepperoni pizza for my daughter, and a buffalo chicken sub for myself. There is a definite language barrier here, which is made worse by the rushing to get people in & out as quickly as possible. I asked for Wheat bread, I got White. I started naming off toppings and the«sandwich artist» seemed confused. I eventually decided it was good enough. The guy behind me asked for his to be cut in half and wrapped separately — so they cut & wrapped mine instead. After I paid, I had to wait about 10 minutes for the pizza, even though it was cooked and sitting on the counter behind the cashier. The food itself was okay. I mean, it’s Subway, so there isn’t a whole lot of room for error. However, the service was awful.

Don’t eat here if you can avoid it. Very rude to customers an to other employees. An individual who was either a supervisor or owner(Asian an around 50 years old) was berating his employees unmercifully. Especially a young man who seemed to be new to the job. When the mean guy made my sandwich he did a really poor job and when I asked for a little more mayo he refused. I am a big Subway fan, but not of this one. Don’t eat here!!!

They have $ 5 footlongs. Service was fast, if not the most friendly.

I’m a fan of Subway and their sandwiches — their LUNCH sandwiches. I recently tried them out for their breakfast sandwiches — and was not impressed. This Subway is located in the Concourse D, near Gate D14 of Dulles International Airport — and it has a decent amount of seating. I’ve been curious for some time since I’ve noticed Subway advertising breakfast — what is it and how good is it? So I order a Sausage, egg, and cheese on an English muffin and a side of hash browns. Turns out they use the assembly line method for their breakfast sandwiches — just like everything else. The lady picked up a pre-cooked egg patty — cut it into four pieces, and put two of the pieces on the sandwich, then a pre-cooked sausage patty and slice of cheese, then placed it and the hash browns into those little ovens to heat it. A very blah and unsatisfying implementation of the traditional breakfast sandwich. Did not have a lot of flavor. It wasn’t greasy at all — I suspect the missing fat had something to do with it being very bland. I’ll stick to ordering traditional lunch sandwiches at Subway from here on out.
