Food was good! This place needs some attention on the cleaning side! Restroom, touch points, ect. Lots of building up.

If you’re on the hunt for some cheap, decent Chinese food… this is the place to go. Huge portions and the staff is friendly. My family of 5 can be fed with two number one combinations for about 13 bucks. Can’t do that at Panda Express.

This place has some of the best food in town. Really anything on the menu is a hit. I’m not sure why more people don’t come here, the staff is friendly and the food is good, cheap, and plentiful.

Our prior visits were okay. Today we ordered takeout & lemon chicken was burned Costco nuggets with a cup or lemon syrup on the side. Cream cheese wonton were freezer burned, filled with a pea-sized bit of gelatin, and very rubbery. The shrimp and chow mien were just okay. Staff are very friendly, too bad the food isn’t worth coming back.

Anyone expecting to find high class, gourmet food for $ 6, keep looking. For the value this place is awesome. I am not as picky as most people when it comes to food but if you’re looking for a lot cheap plate come here.

I seriously don’t understand how everyone is saying there food isn’t good. I had there garlic chicken it was seriously the best I have ever had. And there chow mein that comes as a side is actually chicken chow mein. It was much better than any other place I have tried. The prices are amazing and I found the staff to be welcoming. My go to place anytime I want Chinese food.

I don’t know why all these people are saying how amazing this place is. I feel super lied to. I went on Nov 24th around noon with my boyfriend and two siblings. They all got the lunch special and I got a combination plate with the green bean chicken. They ordered orange chicken, sesame chicken, and sweet and sour chicken. First off, the chow mein and fried rice were really bland, with no real flavor. It just seems like filler, more than usual. I tried a few bites of each persons plate, and I have to say it wasn’t just my food that didn’t make the cut. The best out of the four was the orange chicken, but even panda express tastes better than this place. The customer service was terrible. Of course they can barely speak any English. I asked if I could remove the veggies from the chow mein and she told me it would be a dollar extra. They wanted me to PAY to REMOVE it. Which just shows the chow mein isn’t made to order, they cook it up in the morning and microwave it or something. Again, I have no idea why there are so many good reviews for this place. I went to China Caff because I read these reviews about how great it was. I feel lied too. It wasn’t just one bad meal, there was 4 different meals that tasted bleh. Choose somewhere else or you’ll regret it.

So good and so affordable! I love the braised tofu, and there are combination plates available for meat eaters. They said they could customize a vegetarian combo plate but it couldn’t have the braised tofu because that has to be one size.(Huge!) My heart was already set on the tofu but next time I’ll try a combo plate with vegetables. Seriously great value! Must visit!

I really enjoy the food at China Caff. Our family doesn’t eat meat, but the veggie dishes are wonderful! I have gotten a wrong order before and they changed it when I went back to them.

Got take out for the first time, not bad! The chicken can use some work(maybe just because I’m picky with my meat) lol but the rice and chow main was really good. Portions were really big and forsure can feed two to three people!

Great spot for quick, inexpensive lunch that also tastes good. I always get their lunch combination plates that are below $ 5 and well proportioned for lunch. It’s hard to find such a good deal these days! Their chicken chow mien and Kung Pao chicken is a good. Customer service is the usual for an Asian restaurant. Go and try out their combination plates!

I have no idea how their food tastes because when I got there, during business hours, they were closed. Not coming back.

The food here is great. I always get the chow mein, fried rice, garlic chicken, and sweet & sour pork. They never fail to amaze me with their huge portions and amazing tasting food. One thing, I’ve gone two times where the chow mein is lukewarm and it wasn’t a problem for me, but most like it hotter than the temperature it was served at. Super cheap prices for the food. You get twice what you get at Panda for the same(or less) than what you pay there!

Haven’t been here for years and now I remember why… it’s okay but nothing special, there are better places in town. The sizzling rice soup was good but everything else was just meh.

To start things off, my table had an egg flower soup. This soup was actually rather good. It did not seem as if it was heavily made with msg. The flavour did not overwhelm me in saltiness. That’s a good start! For my main dish, I had the No. 1 combination plate which was garlic chicken, fried rice, and chicken chow mein. It was really cheap for the large portion served. However, you pay for what you get. The quality of the noodles was a bit mediocre. The fried rice seemed to have no flavour so I added my soup to it, which instantly solved that problem. The garlic chicken was pretty wonderful. This combination plate overall was still enjoyable. You really can’t argue with how much food you’re getting. Now… one thing I felt that could be improved, it was cleanliness, the table was really sticky even before my party had arrived. It’d be awesome if the table could be cleaned a bit better and not be terrifyingly sticky. The restroom was a typical sort of Chinatown-ish restroom. Not exactly clean… Not exactly spacious… Not exactly the best smelling… But that’s forgivable in my opinion because it just seems to come with the small Chinese restaurant dining experience… It’d be great of it were cleaner, but for the most part it is what it is. The people working at the restaurant are really nice. This is definitely a good place to go and try out. Especially for Merced. And… That concludes my review of China Caff.

Really great prices for such large portions. Our family had the Orange and garlic chicken along with fried rice and chow mein. Much better than Panda Express. Next time I think I’ll try more of a vegetable dish of some kind, a lot of fried food for one sitting.
