This was the first time we have ever stayed in downtown Palm Springs. Just for one night — a Friday night. We were in the mood for red meat. After doing a bit of research as to where to eat my wife was attracted to the advertisement on the internet for«smoking martinis» at The Falls restaurant. With the restaurant being on the second floor and since it was a fairly warm night we decided to sit out on the balcony. It was fun to watch the people passing by on street below. For a «smoking martini» my wife ordered the French Pear Martini –it was excellent. The dry ice bubbling & smoking away in the glass was quite a novelty. The Mojito I ordered was made in some way that it was less sweet(and therefore better) than Mojitos I have had at other places. We ordered wines for the starter and main courses by the glass. We were happy with the size of the pours. We decided to share a Jumbo Crab Cake appetizer and Baby Spinach & Strawberry salad at the table. Both of those starters were very good. We decided to share an 18 oz. Roasted Prime Rib of Beef for the main course. They split the plate for us it in the kitchen. The prime rib was very good and prepared as we had discussed with our waiter. The service from our waiter & busboy was very good. We had a very nice evening out.

This was one of the best steak houses in P. S. And had incredible Martinis. Then they brought in Mexican servers who hardly spoke English. Also serving $ 15 dollar steaks. This was a high end Steak and Chop house. $ 40.00 plus for steaks and well worth it. Hopefully someone will bring this place back to its original quality and re open it. Great location and great terrace views.
