Health Score 97 A The service was very welcoming. They told us a little bit about the history of the restaurant which was nice. We had the sampler platter.(Chicken, ribs, pork, cornbread and two sides) Everything was moist and tender. The chicken had the best smoke favor. The sauce was a mustard based and on the table. We also enjoyed the brisket and sausage. If your a okra fan, this place you need to try.

Great BBQ! We tried the brisket and the ribs, both were excellent. Sides and cornbread were excellent as well. Atmosphere was pleasant and clean. The owner brought our food to the table.

Just WOW!!! We have been on the road BBQ TRIPs for the past 3 years. So we have a good reference to what each area has to offer. B has created the BEST we have had east of St. Louis. He and his wife are the most charming couple putting out the absolute best BBQ we have EVER had!!! B is so into«how do do it right!» The flavor the smoke texture, the dedication is there and needs to be respected. Thank you Byron Furman for the best BBQ we found on the east coast of the US. And thank you Mrs. Furman for the sweetest, Professional front of the house!

Love all on the menu, but stopped for the collard greens and cornbread today. Makes me happy!

Ribs were very good, nice flavor, and tender. Also had the brisket, it too had a great taste but was a tad dry. I’ve been to many BBQ joints and I’ve found that when you get there for an early lunch, you tend to get yesterday’s cook, which I can understand why. BBQ beans were really good, friend said the Mac was typical. I’ll definitely be back next time we visit the area. Staff was VERY friendly, the owner was also kind enough to take the time to discuss his smoking methods with me(I smoke at home). He gave me some great info and I can’t wait to apply it when I get home. Thanks B!

I had the chicken plate with fries and mac’n’cheese. It was awesome. Service was great, and the seating is nice and open with plenty of room. The sweet tea wasn’t bad either. Our friends had the sampler plate and they had nothing but good things so say. I highly recommend this place.

This place is amazing! We came last year when we were in town(we live in Miami) and our family has been craving b’s bbq ever since. We visited the new location tonight, and our tastebuds were not disappointed. We sampled various items-chicken, pork, ribs, and brisket and my family and I can honestly say that b’s is the best bbq we have ever tried. The place is quaint and casual and the staff is very friendly. If you haven’t tried this place and live in Savannah, you need to visit soon. If you are not a local, I suggest you try this place out whenever you are passing through. We look forward to visiting again the next time we are in town.

Best BBQ ever. The staff is super friendly and the food is outstanding. Every time I’m in the area I stop to enjoy the ribs and the pulled pork. They’re a family operated restaurant and they treat you like family.

This place is great. I went with a big group of out-of-towners and it was our favorite meal in Savannah. We had nearly everything on the menu between the six of us and loved it all. Standouts included the ribs, the chicken, and the smoked chicken salad. All the sides were amazing, especially the hash and rice. The fried pickles were a great starter, and all the sauces were delicious. We also had a few desserts; the peach crisp was phenomenal and the banana pudding was also excellent. The staff was incredibly helpful, attentive, and deservedly proud of their fantastic establishment. I would recommend B’s to anyone in the area. Well worth the trip out of downtown for some great barbecue.

Our family ordered a little bit of everything and my favorites were the brisket and the beans! The Mac and cheese wasn’t that great I like it super creamy and it was dry, the cornbread was a little tough as well but we did order Togo so the drive may have influenced the food a little bit. I would definitely come back to order the brisket and beans

Decided to try this place because we were craving bbq! It was delicious! We got the corn nuggets, chili cheese fries, and pork skins – all top notch. I got Brenda’s brisket with Mac n cheese and it was on point! We even met the owner/cook before we left and got a picture with him… very nice and down to earth! Definitely recommend B’s :)

Wow, we came down from Atlanta and totally tripped over this great place. We had a group of six, so we all got a little bit of everything. Great pork, great chicken, great brisket, great ribs… Hash and rice is HARD to find, and the one they served us was wonderful. The service was great and so was the sweet tea. I only regret we didn’t leave room for dessert!

Incredible BBQ! I had the brisket. Cooked just right. Tender and juicy. The BBQ sauce is a tangy mustard based sauce. Very good. Best collard greens I have had. Not over cooked like so many others. First time I tried the hash & rice. It was good. Banana pudding was just perfect. Only thing that could make it better would be to have the option to have a cold beer with the meal. The corn bread was only OK to me. Could be just how they do it in Savannah.

I travel all over the US with my job. If I’m in a good location such as Savannah my husband usually comes to stay during the weekend and we make it a little getaway. Since BBQ is one of our favorite foods we try to find a good local place to eat. B’s Cracklin BBQ probably ranks in our top 5 favorites. I always get the ribs wherever I go. B’s ribs were big and meaty with just the right smoke flavor and a nice pink ring. YUMMY! My husband enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich which was loaded with meat. The sides are all made from scratch which is a great indication of a good BBQ place. I had the collards and the potato salad which were both very good. My husband had the baked beans and french fries. My dinner also came with a cornbread cake which was just okay but that’s not what I came for so no big deal. The restaurant is located off the beaten path in a little strip center so don’t let that keep you from trying it out. The inside is not very big with probably 10 tables. Everything looked very clean. If we are ever back in the area we will definately come back. My husband actually wanted to go back today. :-)

I had the brisket plate, lunch portion with the two sides and the cornbread patty. The brisket was a little on the dry side, which I was a little disappointed about. I had the stew and the mac, the meal was a little north of $ 15. A little expensive for a lunch and the size of the portion. Lastly, the sauce was good but my personal preference is a ketchup based sauce, no affect on the review. Service was exceptional, everyone was nice and very polite. Overall 3 stars meaning exactly that is was A-OK, I will try it again in a few months and update the review accordingly. Note: This place is off the beating path and if you are visiting Savannah for the weekend I would say there are better options a little closer like Angel’s(downtown), Wiley’s(Whitmarsh Island), Sand Fly at the Streamliner(downtown near Forsyth Park). Background: I didn’t even know this place existed until I read an article online in Jan 2015 in Southern Living Magazine, but then again it only opened a few months earlier in Oct 2014. The original building was destroyed by a fire in Jun 2015 and moved and reopened to the current location in Oct 2015.

Best thing was the baked beans. Hubby and I both got brisket plates. Brisket was a little dry. Downside they only have 1 type of bbq sauce which is mustard based which we don’t really like. The review would be better if we had a few sauces to choose from to help the brisket. They offer a flat kindof cornbread. not sure what it was but it didn’t taste good to us. Well we gave it a try.

This is competition quality barbeque.(I’m a certified judge with two organizations). Lots of smokey flavor, pink smoke ring and copious amounts of bark. They source their hogs from a local farm and cook whole hog. Is it worth a trip from downtown, not if your looking for a fancy dinner. But if you want a long held craft of hard wood smoke tenderly bringing pork to life, then yes it’s worth the drive. This is the only place in town to get hash and rice and it’s delicious.
