Overpriced, mediocre BBQ. Staff is always friendly, I only occasionally go here, because the BBQ place I went to, closed down because of Armstrong. As, soon as I find a better place, I won’t eat here anymore.

Fast, friendly service and tasty food! I enjoyed the pull pork sandwich, mac & cheese & waffle fries. The daily deal filled me up & then some. I was too full to really enjoy the free soft serve, but I had a nibble anyway. Can’t believe it’s free! Such a great idea. The bathrooms were very clean, which is always a great sign.

I love the fact that this place is basically a no frills kind of place. They focus on the food. I love the pulled pork. It was so tender and so delicious! They have so many sides! I had Mac & Cheese and slaw This time, but their baked potato casserole, potato salad, green beans and barbecue beans and several of their meats. Plus you get free ice cream!!! Yum!!!

This place is very friendly and he food is great. Sunday’s kids eat free with a purchase is an adult meal. With 5 of us our meal was under $ 20. The food was very tasty. They didn’t have the traditional BBQ Chicken I am use to, was just cut up chicken beast. Which was moist and favorable. I recommend this for anyone just looking for a bite to eat. Again… The staff is very friendly.

Was not expecting this place to be good but wow was I in for a surprise. Will revisit on my next trip to Savannah in a few weeks. I’m use to the bar-b-qua joints that are a little run down/mom and pop joints. This place was located in a shopping center so I immediately thought it was going to be bad. Great experience overall. Went during lunch, staff was nice, had the meat plate and everything tasted great.

I always use them when catering work events. This time I only placed a small order about a week out for 6lbs of meat. When I showed up someone had canceled the order on their end and the food wasn’t ready. Of course I was very upset since I didn’t have a plan b setup. Emily was super helpful and while I only waited about ten minutes they had my order made up and ready to go. Other then this one time I have never had any issues with them and their pulled pork is wonderful. I will be using them again.

Great place. Most of the staff were extra friendly. The ribs were delicious. The fried okra was delightful.

YAAASSS!!! I am serious about pulled pork. It has to have the pink ring, black bark, and the intoxicating flavor of smoke from a proper wood. It is not as moist as it should be but Dickey’s has all the other delicious characteristics. There is no unnecessary flair, like one of my fav dives has, no smoker out front or vintage décor, but the meat is there and that is the star of the show. The«meat matron» cuts your choice of savory goodness right off the bone, in front of you. The only sides I’ve had are mac & cheese and fried okra. Love the okra and the mac & cheese is gooey, thick, heart-attack-mac! Not bad and not over hyped and over priced like some of the more popular joints. The place is not crawling with the island elite and the cool people working there just give you a smile and your darn order-no pretense or bbq snobbery! In addition, it’s right on Abercorn. So, I’m giving this lil’ place a perfectly acceptable: A-OK and my continued patronage :)

I love Bar-B-Que! So it was a must to stop here and see if they were worth it. Plenty of options of cuts of meat. I went with the spicey cheddar sausage(good) and the chopped up brisket(okay) complimented with a side of potato salad and a ceasar salad. Yeah I know, why would anyone get a salad, but i had to offset all the rest of my meal. The cashier talk me into getting a 32oz souvenir cup he said was for awesomeness(sweet tea). He also told me about the free ice cream after i get done with my meal. All in all I really enjoyed the food the atmosphere and the service. I went back twice during the week i was in Savannah and would recommend this place.

We have never been to a Dickeys before and was excited to give it a shot. We didn’t know they closed at 9 and arrived at 8:45. While most places have cranky people working close to closing we experienced the complete opposite! Staff was super friendly! Food was great and OMGFREE all you can eat ice cream?! We LOVE this place! Thanks to the closing staff of 4÷17÷15!

It was a coincidence that me and my friend were hungry, so we ended up calling each other for a meet up. We haven’t decide where we should eat. And I was craving for some good olé southern BBQ. So, I suggested we eat at this place. Unilocal Challenge 11⁄100 I rushed here as soon as possible. It was in a shopping center right next to the pool hall and Big Lots. Parking was very spacious. The restaurant was pretty small, but it had enough table for customers. As I was looking at the menu, trying to decide what to eat the staff rushed me to pick something off the menu. I order the big bbq pork sandwich and some waffle fries. I already received my plate. I was eating it really slow, because my friend had not arrived yet. Conviction– the bbq sauce was made perfect and it tasted sweet. I finished off my plate, and my friend just arrived. Well, it usually takes her 4 hours to get ready for anything, and this is a big improvement because she manage to be 45 minutes late. I sent her several pictures of me eating the bbq sandwich a long long time ago… She said this was the best bbq food she had in a while. I told her how could you not know this place, when you live 3 minutes near it… I’m glad i came here. Their bbq is delicious and they have specials for each day. Sunday kids eat free.

This is a decent place to get some BBQ and sides. It isnt the best BBQ i have ever had, but it isn’t bad. The sides are ok as well. I’ll be back.

My wife and I love this place for lunch and catering for special events. The food is superior and service is good. Not recommended for a relaxing dinner, no real relaxing seating,

I saw a one star review and I am just going to assume that the poor guy either went on a bad day or was having a bad day. Either way my experience was on the other end of the spectrum. The stop here was a spur of the moment because we did not feel like cooking. We ordered a family pack which consists of your choice of 2 meats(1lb each), 3 medium sides, and 6 rolls. Also ordered a bbq chicken sandwich. Keep in mind only a half rack of ribs counts as a lb. Kind of sucks but it is what it is. The ribs were awesome. Loved the bark and the intense Smokey flavor. The pulled pork was. not dry by any means and had a great flavor to it. Very very tender. Not saying its the best I ever had, but saying it’s good enough for a sort of fast food bbq place. Potatoe casserole — imagine twice baked potatoe with all of the toppings. I added more sour cream when I got home because that’s how I roll. They were good. Mac & cheese — it was so so. I only say this because I am spoiled by generations old recipes within the family. Taste like this one uses a rue. Not to bad though. Baked beans — holy mother of bbq beans. These things are awesome. I would place them up in the top 5 of best bbq beans I ever had. They do however have a kick to them so if you or a child don’t do pepper might want to steer clear. Service — went on 5÷21÷2014 @ around 720 pm. Great customer service. Outstanding and I appreciate that. I grade a place more on its customer service thannitd food. I believe that over the past years companies have gotten away from driving good customer service. All in all I’d go back :)

As much as I liked Dickey’s, I’m afraid I have to downgrade my rating. I have been back since my first review and the brisket continues to be very dry. The last time I went there, about a week ago, the brisket was chopped up bits, not slices like I like and the portions have gotten smaller. This food is expensive ! The cheddar sausage was good but they always seem to be unwrapping odds and ends from plastic wrap. Is any of this fresh? The guy cutting the meat was nice(and cute) and the dark haired girl is always friendly but the redheaded girl is neither nice NOR friendly. I feel the quality isn’t what it used to be. :( Oh yeah, this is crazy, bulk brisket and meats are one price but sliced meats are two dollar more PERPOUND! You have to buy the whole brisket, ham, etc to get the lower price. Ridiculous,

Love the western. The ham is awesome and free ice cream with every meal! Iv tried most of the sides and they are good too. Student and military discounts. Definitely would recommend it.
