Just had a late lunch, drove up from Gardnerville. It’s always a stop when I am at the lake. Love the yellow sub! Today I was disappointed in the service, no one was friendly. I understand it was a half hour before closing but a smile and good customer service goes a long way. I also have to mention that it was freezing in there, the door was open. I throughly enjoyed the sandwich and will return but hope the staff is in a better mood.

I just stopped in and wasn’t quite sure what I wanted. The dude at the counter suggested a few things and I chose the yellow sub. It was BOMB, totally hit the spot. Large sandwiches, great prices, and super friendly employees. This will most definitely be my new go to deli spot. Good job guys :)

They have amazing soups and sandwiches. Excellent service. Great place on your lunch break Because they are quick. Make sure you check the hours though, they close pretty early.

One of the best pastrami sandwiches I’ve ever had! My wife got the hot turkey and provolone which she thought was great as well. Definitely recommend stopping here for lunch if you’re in the South Lake Tahoe area. Quick, friendly service and good prices.

I got the turkey on the French roll with pepper jack and pickles. I was a little hesitant given the mixed reviews recently. I’m glad I took a shot at it because the sandwich was amazing! Service was great and they were very accommodating. FYI they only take cash and charge two dollars to use the ATM inside.

AWFUL customer service. I came in by myself and another customer was standing near the register so I just waited, and the cashier, a young girl with brunette hair, literally just stood there and stared at me. So I asked if I should order and she just nodded. I ordered my food, and I had just finished a can of soda so I asked them if they had a trash can because I hadn’t seen one coming in or outside. An older brunette woman who I assume was the manager didn’t even look up and just replied with a short «no.» I could literally see the trash can, and all I had was one can to throw away and the straw wrappings from THEIR restaurant! She was extremely rude and made me feel uncomfortable and will be the reason I will not return.

Came here last week and had the turkey club. So impressed. I am now back again and got great service with happy people always behind the counter. The lemonade is fresh and delicious. Family owned and a perfect visit for lunch while in Tahoe.

My vote for best sandwich in south lake!!! Be prepared, they don’t take the card! But do have an atm (it’s weirdly connected to their cash register). I love their turkey sandwich. (they don’t skimp on the meat and pile up the veggies!!!). I have friends who won’t even get meat because all the veggies are so fresh and wonderful that the sandwich doesn’t need it. And always get their home made lemonade! Trust me, get the lemonade! And get the big size! They get their cookies from a local bakery, they are a little pricey, but worth every penny! They have maybe 3 tables inside and out, so be prepared to take it to go!

South Lake Tahoe, CA
This place is yummy! Always consistent as far as taste goes. Iced tea is freshly brewed. My favorite is the turkey club. Crispy thick bacon, turkey, lettuce, tomato, the whole deal. The woman that works there is always friendly and fast. Even when there’s a line, there’s shops like Gaialicious and the thrift shop next door to peruse while waiting for your sub.
Gotta try the broccoli cheddar soup too! Yummmmmmm

Yum!!! Best spinach wrap of my life! Ordered turkey with all the fixings on a spinach wrap and added sprouts, avocado, and provolone cheese. Perfect flavor ! I wish there was a location in la!!!

Do NOT eat here if you care for proper food handling.
My observation while waiting in a line of unassuming customers bedazzled by the establishment’s signage, «best sandwiches in Tahoe.»
* Cash only
* one employee without gloves tendering
and giving change back to the customer only to see her make the food without washing her hands
* large pickle jar — no spoon… NO PROBLEM! She dove half her naked arm THREE times fishing for pickles and placed the pickles onto the customer’s sandwich
* NEXT CUSTOMER!!!
The employee was complaining about being understaffed and having to work both cashiering and food prep *_​* and continued her routine.
Best of Tahoe??? Oh no… get out of line and go someplace else folks.

I will probably pass on returning here. I had a tuna sandwich on sourdough roll. Something about it was just not good to me. The woman making the sandwiches was running it on her own. She was quick and efficient, but could probably work on being a little more approachable.
