When mom doesn’t make dinner it is most definitely one of our go to spots. Garden salad with tri tip always works for me… If I feel like something extra the tempura green beans are always a great addition. I’ve tried their char burger and onion rings and I like them as well. I want to be adventurous and try their Santa Barbara Style Char sometime…

I was going to just leave it at the check-in/tip I left below but it’s more than that. I have been to this Habit maybe six times total and only once have the fries been crispy and my order been correct(thus, the two stars). Each other time they insist on giving me pickles and onions even though I ask for none; it’s on the cooks, because the cashier repeats it back correctly. Fries are soggy and soaked in grease. This place has totally disappointed me.

I was just craving a salad and I heard theirs is pretty good. I ordered the grilled chicken with balsamic vinegar. it was really good! I went through the drive-thru and it took a little while but I’d still come back :)

I went to try this place out since I was in the Vallejo area, and it did not like it. It was busy so it took me an hour to get a burger. I ordered a mushroom char burger with no cheese, no mayo, no pickles, and wrapped in lettuce, and when it came out, it had cheese, mayo, pickles, and it was on a sesame seed bun. I’m on a fucking diet and you’re gonna make me eat this shit?! Never Again. I will be taking my money to In-N-Out. Sure, the service here is upscale, but they have the best burgers I have ever eaten, especially when I’m on a diet.

The Habit has quickly become on of my favorite burgers. The simple Char Burger is clean and well built. It’s nice to be served a burger that hasn’t been smashed and mangled before it arrives to you. They’ve got great fries; thick and crispy. Onion rings are also a great choice, well seasoned, properly fried, and pipping hot! My two favorite burgers on the menu are the Santa Barbara style the Mushroom Burger. I’d say these two are at the top of the heap in fast food burgers, and rival burgers from fancier full service restaurants.

Well, I went back last Friday. For some reason I’m checking out burgers these days. You can drive through or go inside. If you go inside you wait in line, order then they give you this gizmo that you take to a table you find to sit in, that thing will light up and vibrate and scare the hell out of you when your order is ready. There is no wireless internet for guests, so YOUMIGHT need to use your data(NOOOO!!!) you have to have something entertaining to do because it’s a little bit of a wait. Or you can watch the very nice person who constantly clears the tables, very diligent! When we got up to the counter, I took my own advice(fool me once…) and got he SANTABARBARASTYLE Double Char with Cheese & Avocado on Grilled Sourdough and a small drink(no extra charge for refils). My friend got a DOUBLECHARBURGER(Mayonnaise, pickle, fresh tomato, lettuce and caramelized onions on a toasted bun) a la carte, with fried onion rings and a large drink. Somewhere around $ 20. We took our little do-hicky and wandered over to a booth and tried to make small talk, looked at our phones, watched other customers, checked out another guy who was eating already, checked out a guy who was waiting for his food with the do-hickey in his hand but they had already given him his shakes… which were slow separating because THEYPOUREDTHESHAKESFIRST… WHYYYYYYYWHYYYYWHYYYYY???(I hate that when they pour the shakes first, shakes and ice cream LAST.) Then we saw a mother and three children order and find a table… a young woman finished her meal and left for work(The shake guy was still waiting poor fella) When the ALARM goes off then you have to go BACK to the counter and pick up the tray with your food on it. The person who slings the tray offers everyone the same thing, ranch, ketchup, salt and pepperranch, ketchup, salt and pepper, ranch, ketchup, salt and pepper, even the poor guy with the separating shakes… ranch, ketchup, salt and pepper So, we get shocked back into the 21st century with that hopping, vibrating lightshow gizmo and he goes up to get the food. He asked the server(in all seriousness) where the other half of his burger was: blank stare: crickets: clueliss fake smile: he walked away… my sandwich was more than twice the size of his burger, I kid you not. Mind you I had warned him but he went ahead and ordered, live and learn. There are some random condiments over by the drink station like peppercini, jalepeno, lemon quarters and ketchup um… okay, what the hell, just in case. Still in shock, my sad faced friend tried to put up a brave front and offered me AN onion ring. I happily took it(they looked crispy) well to be fair they WERE crispy, but Dottie, someone really wanted us to get our salt for that day because the onion rings were actually covered in salt grains. The next table a kid said SALTY! hmmm So, he stood up and brought them back saying he… was not medically allowed to eat that much salt. In fairness they told us we could keep the saltly little devils and they would make another order. So he accepted(to my surprise). The person came over with the replacements… you guessed it NO salt this time… okay, why don’t we combine the salty ones with the unsalted ones… we did, okay. I gave my companion the other half of my sandwich(I felt bad) and then he was happier but noted there was a whole lot of stuff on it and not a whole lot of beef(yadda yadda yadda). This place is okay, it is clean, nice to look at and pleasant to eat in… just need to find my sweet spot I guess.

Their sweet potato fries and bacon burger is to die for!!! For the price, this joint isn’t bad. Just gets busy a lot. Overall, this is a good cheap place to get lunch!

The Habit is solid(definitely competes with In-N-Out). This one in particular is great because it actually has a drive-thru! It’s a chain, but a damn good chain!

I’m so done with this place. If you have to go don’t use the drive-thru. I mean how tough is it to get an order right? Not for a party of 6…2 people! The last 3 times I used the drive thru they screwed up the order. The first 2 times they left something out and today I checked to make sure we had everything before we left and when I got home they put cheese on a burger we ordered w/out. That’s after it took 20 mins. to get through the drive-up line. Just too many other places to get a burger.

I had a teriyaki burger with pineapple, it was actually pretty good but nothing spectacular. That’s the only reason I can go passed one star. We had a problem with the floor… Yes the floor. I’ve had jobs where I had to mop before but common sense should always tell you to change your water when you mop again… Walking on the floor from the cashier was similar to walking on ice. Grease slopped all over the place. Whoever mopped never changed the water… Use your brain please, luckily I’m not one of those customers looking for a lawsuit because that would have been an easy come up. There was so much grease on the bottom of our shoes we had to wipe them off before getting in the car. Get it together y’all.

Worst experience ever! Not this restaurant but the whole habit organization in general. If I can give them 0 star I could. I went here for a drive through and ordered burgers for family and Santa Barbara Cobb salad. We live about 15 minutes away from this restaurant and when I came home I’m missing the salad. My fault too for not checking my bag. What made it worst was when I called to complain about the missing food. They have a national line for that! You don’t get to talk to someone working in that restaurant. They put me on hold for a good 5 minutes. And when I talk to a manager, I was told that someone from the customer complaints Dept will call me in 24 hours. Seriously? What kind of customer service is that. This happened to me before from other restaurants and yhey have a solution for me right away and got to talk to the store manager. As much as I love Habit, I will never be patronizing them because of this experience.

Great service from Marisol! Food is great, but service is really on par. For the small town of Vallejo, this is a true blessing to have here. Quick, easy, cheap– ideal!

The only reason why I’m giving this place ONE star is that the food is good. That’s it. But today was the worse experience ever. I was eating my amazing tuna sandwich and when I looked down to eat one of my fries there was a fucking pink piece of a fingernail. I instantly threw my food up. I am so upset. What. The. F***. So I’m warning everyone to make sure they check their food before eating from this place. Update: when I went to take my food back the supervisor or manager lady was very nice about it. She gave me a few coupons to make up my meal.

I love Habit! The burgers are very juicy and on point. I usually prefer the lettuce instead of the buns so I can make room for the fries. I love the bbq salad too, so tasty and filling. Their service is quick, & the staff are usually helpful and friendly. Also I am very happy that their place is clean & the restroom are neat too. Which is a plus. Hmm can’t wait for my next trip to habit!

SO. What had happened was… I went into habit today to order food for lunch and got my order in a reasonable amount of time. My coworkers and I were about to eat our lunch when one of my coworkers opened up their salad and there was a strand of hair in the grilled chicken salad. JUSTSITTINGTHERE. We were GROSSED out and we all checked our food to make sure no hair was in it. This was the SECOND time that this has happened where there was hair in the food that we have ordered. Obviously there needs to be something done. I immediately called the Vallejo Habit and they transferred me over to the order manager. I don’t know if the order manager was even in the building or at another office. I told her that there was hair in our food that we just ordered and if there was any way to compensate or get a reimbursement for the salad. She apologized and said HERSELF that that’s gross. I asked her again if there’s anything they can do because 1) this is the second time it happened and 2) we were on a limited time to eat because we were on our lunch. She asked for our numbers so that people«higher» up can resolve the solution. I mean sure that’s great, but what about NOW. I gave her our numbers and asked a third time what about compensation. She told me that there’s a 50 – 50 chance that that will happen right away because it is their lunch rush so they will not know if the Vallejo Habit can do that on the spot. I was baffled and confused because I thought that I was talking to someone directly at the Vallejo habit. But obviously I was not. Cause you would think that they would be offering compensation just like that, NOPE. I thought wrong. It’s the end of the day and still no call, no nothing from Habit. If there’s a next time that I go there, I’m opening every salad to inspect it right in front of them and if I find another strand of hair… So Habit, check your food before it goes out throughly or please wear hairnets. I’m sure other customers don’t want to experience pulling strands of hair out of their food.

Initially, I was really excited to try a new burger place especially because I’m new in town. After reading several decent reviews I choose to come here and order a burger. I went through the drive-thru. 3 cars were ahead of me. Once i reached the service kiosk I ordered number 8 the burger with bacon. I asked for no cheese and a ice tea for my drink. The whole process took about 15 minutes. I should have checked my bag before I got home but lesson learned. My iced tea was apperently root beer soda, the burger had cheese on it, and the fries were really sad. Overall, meal was okay. Its no surprise, a bunch of teenagers work there. The customer service is flawed.

Ok, admittedly one of the best burgers in the area, for the money, but I am so tired of either getting my order mixed up, cold food, or something not right. Tonight I ordered a double char with american on whole wheat, no mayo or Pickles, but what i got was a single wit everything and white cheese on a white bun. Yesterday the sweet potato fries were undercooked, cold and soggy. Time before that they gave me a shake instead of a malted. Therre is more but I dont want to be laborious. Evertime I go back all I get is a sorry… just once I wish someone would offer me a burger or something as an «I’m sorry» I’ve had to eat food I would not normally spent money on. I’m disabled so cooking is hard and when I’m hungry its difficult to want to turn around and go back right then. Common Habit… you could easly be the best overall fast food hamburger. Get your people to use their brains.

I crave a good cheap burger and seeing as In-N-Out is a far drive(yep, another Californian who can’t get enough of In-N-Out!), I was excited to know that The Habit wasn’t far from me, but this location kind of fell short. The burger was okay, they were generous with the fries, and the tempura green beans were great, but the place was a mess. None of the tables were wiped down and for some reason, there were flies EVERYWHERE. It was hard to eat in peace. This place has potential, but for now it get’s an A-OK rating from me. With Costco nearby with such cheap eats, I’d probably just go there… but I wouldn’t object if my friends wanted to try this place out again.

I don’t know why I keep coming back here. The customer service is always mediocre. I will admit, the food here is better than your average McDonald’s. But the drive thru is such a pain. Lines are always long on the inside store front and in the drive thru. Like, 20 minutes… really Bruh?! Give me an appetizer while I wait! And usually when I finally approach the Window for service… the workers are taking and gossiping to each other before I’m greeted. (I guess everyone has their priorities) On a positive note; the grilled chicken sandwich is pretty tasty. That is all.

The Habit is the truth! A fancy fast food joint to say the least. They have a drive through or you can dine in. When the weather is nice I opt for the covered outdoor seating. I love their char bacon cheeseburgers but today I ordered my favorite, the chicken club. Comes complete with avacado, bacon, lettuce, and swiss cheese; on perfectly grilled sourdough bread. The grilled chicken breast is tender and flavorful. I’m a super fan of their lightly battered, crunchy onion rings too!(Ranch on the side 3) Reasonable prices and customer service is always on point.
