Palio’s Pizza Cafe

I generally go here a couple times a year with co-​workers. I have never had a problem with the dining in service and think they are all friendly and do a great job of delivering great customer service. I was expecting the same when ordering for delivery — However, when I called to order delivery for me and a co-​worker (we wanted to pay separate), I was told we each had to have a delivery minimum of 15 dollars. Now, I would understand if it was going to separate places– but it was coming to the same location. Rather than put the cashier in a weird position to ask whoever the gentleman was in the background about it– we complied and figured out a different way to pay. I will not be ordering from this location again because it’s really not a difficult accommodation and it does nothing to hold up the delivery time. I was disappointed as a customer with that response, but I know that the cashier would have obliged because she indicated that she would do that until the gentleman quipped in. I will definitely return to dine in and definitely recommend the franks buffalo chicken pizza– it’s my favorite!

We just moved to Little Elm and we really love Pizza, so finding a good place is very important. I’ve eaten at Palio when ordered at work, but never ordered from home. 1. When I called I was placed on hold for about 15 mins. I would expect this on a Friday or Saturday, but not on a Tuesday night. I didn’t let that bother me. 2. I placed my order, (I ordered The King and added beef, bacon and pineapples) and paid for it. Never did the order taker give me my total and I guess I didn’t ask. I figured that if the original price was 19.99, adding the extras wouldn’t be that much more. Well I’m here to tell you when the deliverer ringed the door bell and handed me the receipt, I had no ideal it would be $ 29.00. OMG. $ 30 (after tip) for a pizza. I was totally shocked. The pizza was good, but not $ 30.00 good especially on a Weeknight. I would order from them again, but I’m going to try the other pizza joints in the area.

Excellent customer service. The nutty chicken was great. Would definitely recommend.

Been here numerous times now… every time with the exception of this past Friday night has been 5 stars. 4.5 stars Friday night, but still, that’s better than most places in the area.
Have been to the restaurant, ordered delivery and also done pick up. So pretty much every option. I’ll break down experiences for each.
Restaurant — BYOB — LOVE this! Brought some great bottles of wine we got in Sonoma here to have with pizza. Ordering is quick and efficient and they give you a number for your table. Servers drop off your meal. Drinks, cutlery, plates, wine bottle openers are on a station in the back of restaurant. Our meal has always come out fast and hot. Small salads are a generous size and easily provide two small salads as an app. Normally very busy on weekend nights so get there early. Have a great patio for warmer nights. Servers walk around and make sure everyone has what they need.
Pick-​up — Only thing that can go wrong here is that when people are waiting to order to sit-​in, the line can be long. Otherwise, I’ve always had great experiences where the time they give you is pretty accurate and you will end up with hot pizza if you listen. I get here earlier than expected and try to get through the line to pay by the time my pizza is coming out of the oven.
Delivery — This is the option we generally pick and we have always had super nice drivers who I make sure to tip. Last night was the first time they messed up our order. I called, they said they would remake the missing pizza and send it back within 25 minutes. True to their word, another order shows up with two pizzas. I’m taken aback and surprised, but happy because who doesn’t love free pizza! Well they messed up the second order and sent me two of the same pizza that they hadn’t messed up in the previous order. Now, since I happen to LOVE that combo of pizza and the one they messed up is one of their house pizzas I hadn’t tried yet, I couldn’t be too angry. They also sent some extra sauce (probably having seen that on a previous order that I love their sauce) so overall while I was disappointed the Jimmy pizza was not going to be sampled that night, I ended up with extra of my fave :) They also included an extra salad — Palio’s good job on exceeding my expectations here. I’m impressed.
Pizza itself — I LOVE thin crust and haven’t found many places that do it well. We used to toggle between Jet’s and Palio’s, but I definitely can tell that Palio’s uses real and fresh ingredients (I never end up feeling gross after eating it) so we stopped ordering Jet’s altogether. Love the crispy whole wheat crust and the toppings are always plentiful.
Staff — Every time I have been here the staff greet us with smiles on their faces and an upbeat voice. They aren’t the typical pizza employees who seem like they hate where they are. The servers are always willing to grab a box, help you with an extra plate etc. so I’ve been really pleased with all areas of service with Palio’s.

Above average pizza and wings. Gyros were great!

The food is decent, not cheap (especially if all you need is one specialty pizza), but the service has gotten worse over the years. I was on hold for 13 minutes when ordering the take out — 8 minutes on one call, hanged up and called again, this time waited another 5.
When I went to pick up the food 15 minutes later, the place had no more than 20 customers in it, nobody in line. I counted 7 staff members. So, when I inquired what happened, all I got was «we were busy». Completely unapologetic or zero concern about what happened.
This is not the first time I have seen an attitude like this at this location. If you are going to charge premium prices for a commodity product, makes sure you not only provide a quality product, but also quality customer service…

This is an awesome little pizza place. Terrific gluten-​free pizza, the «Ralphie’s» is my favorite! If they threw in a few craft brews on tap we would come much more often. Really pleased with Palios!

My family and I are new to the area and decided to order delivery taking a bit of a chance with the first thing Unilocal turned up. We ordered a wide range of pizza, pasta and sandwich for the family and everyone loved their food. Delivery was fast and, even though they missed the sandwich the first time, they quickly delivered it within 5 minutes.
Brilliant service, very recommended — we will definitely be ordering again!

This is my favorite pizza place. Words do not describe the garlic bread.

I have ordered a pizza from here about 3 times. They have gluten free pizza crust down to an art and when i order it for delivery they haven’t messed up yet. The pizza is so delicious and authentic and you get everything you want. The tiramisu is so delightful (im eating one right now). And the best part is they either come on time or early with my order. Their small pizza is perfect to feed 1 – 3 people depending on toppings. My dad likes the byob with no cork fees. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant and the little the in the wall feel makes me feel good. I found my new favorite pizza place. Thanks palio’s.

Have visited multiple locations of Palio’s with great success and rave reviews, ordered take-​out from this location for the kiddos over the weekend and it was good! I felt the crust was slightly under-​done (not that the kids are picky) and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it, so while it may not have been the stellar standards as other Palio’s may have, it was still certainly very good and may have just been an off-​day for them or my taste buds!

First time here. Cashier was Very helpful. Pizza came fast and was delicious. Glad they are nearby. They offer take out and delivery. And it’s Byob.

If you are in the mood for a flavorless crust, bland toppings, indigestion and nasty farts… look no further.

I love palios! Great pizza, and good sizes. My favorite is the lunch special, you get a personal pizza, side salad and a drink for around 8 dollars. It’s tons of food! Palios is probably my favorite pizza around :)

Family friendly restaurant with a variety of items to choose from — pizza, salad, sandwich, etc. My only disappointment was the desserts. I have never had a good one yet. But their many entrees/​pizza are always high quality and great prices so therefore the 5 stars. Clean location and friendly staff.

Great food an great service can’t be beat ! Every time I go it’s perfect what else can you say they do it right every time.

Great place, but today my lunch was ruined, didn’t say anything. Ordered the lunch special small pizza drink and a small salad, great pizza but the olives I wanted were the green not black ones, common mistake, but I can’t stand black olives on pizzas.

Had this delivered several times and it never gets better. Very nice people work there, but the flavors are better at Pizza Hut. Will not be going back or having them deliver anymore.

First time eating here! This place is amazingly delicious. I have a special diet & they met every need with a smile! Military discount offered to my veteran hub.

This place never fails… love it! The lasagna is awesome and enough for two. The pizzas are great with a thin crust so you can taste the toppings!
