So this is more than just your typical breakfast spot… can I just say forget about that«other pie place» with initials M.C., you need — no you MUST get your pie fix from this place!!! I’ve tried just about all… coconut cream, banana cream, chocolate cheese(sounds weird, but think of cheesecake swirled brownie flavor with crust!!!), Dutch Apple, pecan, berry, it’s ALL good. Also– on a side note, I brought an elderly friend of mine here a little over a year ago for an early dinner… one poor girl was running herself ragged. But they must have rectified the situation, because the last 4−5x I’ve been in(which included crazy holidays)…there’s been plenty of staff, professional and attentive. The hubs and I even went on a double date for coffee and dessert here after our sushi dinner(which that restaurant was not worth a review)! Thanks to server Bethany and Katrina who didn’t rush us through our double date… and they made sure our mugs were always filled with hot, fresh, strong coffee. Much appreciated!

i just HAD to say something about this Cocos… they have the best, absolute BEST, waitress I have ever 35 and eat out everyday for lunch and dinner. I never wanted to try cocos because I considered it to be for mainly old people, but i received a coupon in the mail and i was tired of the same old places, so i decided to try it. I wasn’t pleased with the menu options because there’s not much to choose from, especially the appetisers. But I ordered and ate and got great service. I went back 2 weeks later to give it another chance and the same waitress helped me. She is by far the best ever. Always doing whatever she can to please the customers, constantly checking her tables, and oh so sweet of a personality. This waitress’ name is Heidi. Because of her, and mainly only because of her(well and the grilled zucchini), i go there a couple times per week. Ive gone before when she wasn’t working and the service was only half as good, so since then, I make sure I only go when she is on staff. Even if Im having a bad day or feel down I decide to go there knowing my whole attitude/day will change as soon as I see heidi and get served by her. She makes me feel like Im appreciated as a customer and even as if I was a friend. Its just that great. I hope you praise Heidi for her outstanding humanity and respect for others. thank you

This is another good breakfast place in town! It’s not my favorite joint, but it sure does beat the chain restaurants such as IHOP. Benedict Brioche sandwich with country potatoes: first of all, just the title sounds like an awesome breakfast idea, right? Well it totally was because I ate the whole thing and didn’t care about the calories.(Hey, it’s almost Christmas… so…) The bread was thick-sliced and perfect for soaking the egg Benedict yolk. In between that, there was tomato, sliced cheese and even avocado. It all worked together. This is not a pick-up-and-eat kind of dish, but a fork and knife deal. The country potatoes were just ok though. I’ve had larger cubed potatoes at other restaurants so this didn’t win me over. There was nothing memorable about the potatoes. Biscuit and gravy:(*yes, this was a side dish I ordered as well*) This was also just ok. I felt like the biscuit was too dense for me. I would have loved a little bit more flakier, buttery biscuit instead. I had to down a lot of water because the biscuit was tough to get down. The gravy didn’t have much flavor so it felt like a waste to have. The dish looked great but wasn’t really worth it. Prices were pretty reasonable and the staff were really friendly and attentive when we came.

Best breakfast by my house. I’ll walk for the steak eggs toast hash browns(country potatoes for me) and fruit all for 12.49. Waiting now with my mouth salivating. I love the easy going crowd as well.

We keep coming back as service improved tremendously here! The last two visits we have had Holly as our server. She is extremely attentive and professional! We never go without when we have her. We have come as a party of 2 and a party of 6. Again Holly has been extremely professional and thorough each time we have come for a meal. The changes has slowly occurred for the better more so this year. Thank u Holly for your great and ongoing service!

Salad was AWSOME !!! Dads food was AWSOME! Went in during lunch rush but was greeted by our waitress and given food quickly and she gave us extra napkins and checked on us from time to time! $ 25 for lunch not to bad considering all we ordered! Will be back!!!

So-so. Similar to Denny s or a perkos. Fairly good portions for price. French toast was yummy. Country potatoes soggy, did not eat them. Coffee ok. Service was fast, but our waitress was over worked. Wouldn’t return, other better places in town like Dennis country kitchen.

Food is Very Denny’s like. Warm bread before the meal elevated it a bit. Took forever to get drinks. When we asked about them the server replied«gee I don’t think anyone is working on them». Soups were small as noted by another reviewer, but arrived less than lukewarm. We asked for the soup to be warmed up, and it did not come back until we were otherwise all done(and we had to ask what happened to the soup). Server offered up free pie to make up for the sad soup. That added a star, the pie was excellent. If we ever return it will be just for pie.

Pretty pathetic. I had lunch here once and will never go back. I had a cup of cheesy broccoli soup and a tuna salad sandwich. When I lifted the sandwich so much«juice» came out of it that it virtually covered my plate. My guess is that tuna salad had been sitting around for more than a little while. The very small cup of soup came with no crackers. The waitress who took my order fired questions at me in such way as to make me feel like I was being subjected to «enhanced interogation.» On the bright side, after she set my food down I never saw her again! The only reason I’m giving two stars is the soup was good and the décor was fine.

No complaints here. The fish and shrimp platter was 10 bucks with pie. Considering how many lousy restaurants are in Lodi I am giving Coco’s 5 damn stars.

Came here while visiting the family and was looking for a place that served gluten free pancakes. So, I pulled out the ol’ smart phone and Unilocaled just that. I called them up and asked if they in deed do offer gluten free pancakes and they confirmed. So off we went to this place. Immediately we were greeted by the lovely lady at the front and quickly escorted to a booth. It was about 12 noon on s Friday; not very crowded. The food came promptly and it was exactly as ordered. Service was on point as well. I definitely would return if I’m in the area again and I already Unilocaled if there’s one of these Coco’s in the Bay Area and there sure conveniently is! So you know I will be heading over to check it out!

**This review was for a visit that took place on 10÷23÷14, we were sat in the room to the left of the entrance when you walk in** My daughter and I were running errands tonight and by the time we were done we both were absolutely famished! So being since we were at Target I decided to go to CoCo’s. I’m thinking, ok she is starving so once we sit down and get bread she will be a good little girl. Wrong. She didn’t want bread, she drew a few scribbles with the paper and crayons provided and then proceeded to throw it all on the floor, all while screaming at he top of her lungs. Then came the icing on the cake, her sprite, the sprite she lives for since its a special treat at restaurants gets violently hurled to the floor. At this point I’m at my wits end. There was a group of older quiet women trying to enjoy each other’s company in the corner booth and here I am, 1 booth over with a completely upset 2 year old. I was so embarrassed. Our waitress came to fill their waters and saw the aftermath of My daughters tantrum as I was stealing napkins from the next door table to clean it up as best I could. She told me not to worry, asked what she was drinking and that she would be back with a replacement drink and towel to finish cleaning. Upon her return I apologized profusely and she tells me it’s absolutely no problem at all, she has young children herself and completely understood. I told her how hungry she was and that I thought the bread would help and that’s when she asked if saltine crackers would work? I said absolutely, she loves them. When she returned not only did she have a basket FULL of crackers she also took it upon herself to bring out a plate of bite size fruit. I couldn’t believe how utterly thoughtful she was and to top it my daughter was happy as a clam now. Once she brought our dinner we continued connecting over our children’s temper tantrums and I just felt so at ease. She was as genuine as they get. She got it. She empathized. She cared, she truly did. I can’t tell you how refreshing it is to have people like her in the service industry that go above and beyond to care for the customer. Above all that was her understanding, kindness and compassion during a very trying time of mine and potentially hers as she had other patrons comfort to be concerned about as well. I will never forget my experience tonight and it’s people like her that restore my Faith in humanity because simply put she showed kindness in a time she could have sneered. I prayed for her as soon as we left and I hope she is abundantly blessed Thank you Waitress at CoCo’s in Lodi! I truly regret not getting your name. Sincerely, an appreciative patron!

Had lunch at cocos in lodi today. it is the 3 time we have tried it. The service could not get any worst if you hired 8 year olds. Wait is the name of the service. And the food is not that great either It is hard to believe all Cocos are this bad, there are too many of them. Rio vista, ca

A for effort. I hear they make some good pies but, I’m not really a pie person. Prices are nice and low.

My 90yr. old mom and I were in Lodi to have her hearing aids checked. It was breakfast time and we saw the Coco’s sign. We were really happy with the service and the food. My mom actually ate her whole plate of pancakes, bacon AND eggs!!! I’ve never seen her eat this much so it much has been really good. I had a omlet and it was also very tasty. I would totally go back and have a meal here again! Thank you!

Boyfriend and I always wanted to check this place out, but never really had a chance to until today. It’s a pretty big restaurant! Service was friendly and helpful. They have a pretty big menu, so I was a bit lost and didn’t know what I wanted. I only knew that I wanted something ‘breakfasty’. Our Server recommend the Brioche Eggs Benedict, which I ordered, and it was, in one word, AMAZING. The eggs were perfectly poached and the Hollandaise was spot on! As a side I had the country potatoes, which were well seasoned and had onions and finely chopped bell pepper in them. The boyfriend had the corned beef hash and eggs and again, perfect eggs. I’m a damn sucker for a runny yolk! I will definitely come back here and try a slice of pecan or apple pie! (Also have to find out how their Country Fried Steak tastes, because I order that pretty much everywhere I go at least once) Love this place!

The service was terrible at this place. The employees were not attentive and the food & drinks took forever to arrive. The food was alright, but definitely not worth the long wait.

Food a bit better than Denny’s…but service is worse. They are ALWAYS slow. They need a few more employees. I HATE waiting to be seated in an empty restaurant, and even more so for the bill! Attitude is also a bit rough…

We absolutely love this place! My boyfriend introduced this place to me when we first started dating a bit ago and I couldn’t believe I have never been before. Great home town everyone knows you kinda place. We probably go 4 or 5 times a month, so yeah they do kinda know us there. I love the service we get, Pam(which is usually our server) is such a wonderful person so light hearted and caring. Really makes sure we get our food the way we want it. The food is good home cooked feeling food, nothing fancy but very comforting. and the pie… wow chocolate cream is «the usual» for me, I have not tried anything else however because a can’t drag myself away from that one! Keep up the great work!!!

Wanted a late breakfast so we decided to try the new«Raspberry menu» It looked so yummy so we were very excited! Greated as soon as we walked in, not very busy for a Sat at 11:00 a.m. we sat down and started looking over the menus… after about 5 minutes someone stopped to see if we have been helped. I usually like my coffee while I look over the menu so I thought 5 minutes was a little long to wait for the drink order. But still optimistic we placed our order. Remember I said not to busy, after about 45 minutes are food came. Not pipping hot like you would expect, the Raspberry pancakes came with 8 mini pancakes topped with fresh raspberrys and whip cream with a boysenberry sauce and 3 eggs, 3 pieces of little tiny to crisp bacon and country potatoes(tasted previously frozen). You are probably asking yourself«Why the three stars is such a bad visit?» … It’s for the raspberry pancacke plate!!! It was delicious!!! Raspberrys not too sweet and no tart taste and the sauce was great!!! So yes I will go again and suffer just for those raspberry pancakes!
