There is nothing more satisfying than a sandwich. I mean its an all0inclusive meal of meat, cheese, carbs and veggies. You feel like youre cheating and youre eating a salad, kinda. I have seen Port of Subs, everywhere. I was visiting Reno for the weekend and sitting outside sipping my Starbucks and the door to Port of Subs kept revolving… in. out…in…out! It was nuts, so finally I decided to give it a try… WRONGMOVE!!! The menu was confusing… so many subs with all the meats just mixed around… I dont even know what number I ordered but it was a turkey, salami and provolone sandwich, by the time I got to toppings I realized I forgot pepperoni and I was already so disgusted I was like forget it. I asked for mayo, who eats mustard except with bologna, GROSS! I added olives, pepperoncini(watched the young lady squeeze the juice on top of my bread :-() Since the bread was sliced in half through and through the rest of the toppings fell all over. My sandwich was complete! I sat down to eat it and even with the addition of salt, pepper, oil, AND vinegar I took my first bite… NOTHING…I ate half of my sandwich, NOFLAVOR! I completed my sadwich, NOFLAVOR! I was disappointed. BREAD makes a sandwich and so do premium meats and cheeses. Please make some changes.

This sandwich shop has the WORST process of making sandwiches. Every single sandwich I’ve ordered from here, I’ve just wanted to stop the person making the sandwich and make it myself. They have no clue how to handle business when it gets busy. Not to mention, they had SEVEN staff members working on a busy lunch hour, only 2 of which were scrambling to make the sandwiches. But is their EVER a need for 7 staff to be working at a sandwich shop?!? The only reason I keep coming back is because I eat a sandwich every day and they do have good meals but cannot stand to watch them, plus I live close by. POS is too good to have this terrible of service.

Honestly, I’m not sure what there’s not to like about Port of Subs. They have fresh sandwiches that have great quality, decent prices and enough of a selection that you can find something for everyone. Is it my favorite place to grab a sandwich? Not really. Is it a great lunch option for when I’m in a hurry and in need of a healthier option than fast food? Absolutely. Most recently, I was running errands and the boyfriend called from work telling me he was starving to death and couldn’t leave his job site. I was stopped at the light next to POS and had an ‘A HA’ moment. I was there about 1PM on a Saturday and the place was packed(almost a line to the door). I’ve never seen this place so busy, but the employees didn’t seem to have any issues with it. The line moved pretty quickly and they were all smiles while they made our sandwiches. They did kind of skimp on the extras and regulars, but since this normally never happens, it’s not a big deal this time. They also have one of the newer coke machines with the touch screen to select any flavor of Coke products you can imagine.

Their subs are so yummy I just want to gobble down my food! Way better than Subway & more fresh too!

Connie is awesome. The bread is usually on the better side and cleanliness is generally always better here at this store. I do from time to time get a younger newer employee who is learning do a horrible job but all the long term staff is amazing and provides great customer service to me along with a great sandwich. They remember my order which is always cool and they always remind me to use my point card. I love this place. And i will drive across town for this location if i have to.

This location goes through employees like underwear. They always screw up our order when we’re standing right there and do not cut the meat and cheese in EVEN portions like the sandwiches are supposed to be. I’ll get a half a piece of cheese when it’s supposed to be a whole but they obviously can’t cut cheese? Same thing with the meat. Also the bread is inconsistent with freshness. It should ALWAYS taste fresh. Who wants to pay $ 8 for a stale sandwich… Pretty frustrating because we love port of subs normally. The staff isn’t friendly either. Get people that want to work there and you might do a lot better.

Love, love, love POS! Freshly sliced meats, fresh veggies, fresh bread — what’s not to like? I’ve never gone into this location and had bad service either. Granted, POS is a bit pricey, but you do get what you pay for. Once I discovered POS, I’ve never gone back to Subway. In fact, the meat at Subway gives me the Willy’s now, after seeing and tasting POS’ FRESHFOOD. Additionally, unless I see a sandwich shop slicing their meats fresh, I just won’t go. The meats at places like Subway and Jimmy John’s are no different than Oscar Meyer… icky! No thank you! You can keep that future colon cancer & colostomy to yourself, thank you very much!(true story… eesh.) This has really been a disappointment. I frequent Port of Subs more than any other sandwich shop in Reno, but this location has really got me reconsidering my preference. It seems that every time I go in there, whether there’s a big line or not, it just takes forever. Until today, the wasted time was my only complaint. I ordered a small #6 online and waited the allotted 30 minutes to go pick it up. Upon arriving, my sandwich was ready to go on the counter. When the guy went to ring it up, apparently the computer suddenly malfunctioned. Fine, technical difficulties. I get it. And so they went, calling multiple managers to try to figure out how to fix the register/computer. I went to sit down at the bench seat near one of the tables to wait. When I sat down, the bench cushion fell through the framework of the bench and I fell down, hurting my finger. These kinds of things could be avoided by making sure your furniture is you know, not broken. So I waited. And waited. Then another customer came in and ordered a sandwich. Then another customer came in and ordered three sandwiches. All the while, the employee was desperately trying to fix the register to no avail. I’m still waiting. Now, the really upsetting part occurred. When they finished making the two other customers’ sandwiches, they simply walked over to the other register and rung them up there, BEFOREME. Um, was that not an option when I needed to pay for MY stuff? At this point I’ve been waiting literally 25 minutes for a sandwich that I ordered ONLINE so I wouldn’t have to wait(because I was on a lunch break). Finally, after both other customers had paid and left, I was given a «sorry about the wait» and charged full price for my sandwich. I don’t expect free stuff but come on, I literally just waited nearly my entire lunch break for a sandwich that was already made when I walked in the door. I left, speeding in order to get back to work in time. Just when I thought the shenanigans were over, I opened the wrapper and my sandwich was missing tomatoes. This was the icing on the cake. The cake of never, ever going back to that POS location ever again.

Been to this location multiple times a month. Today it was just off. The sandwich was thrown together with too much mustard loaded up in the middle and not spread out and barely any meat. Just sloppy. They had twice as many employees today as usual but only one station was open. I have always loved Port of Subs for not being a big chain. The care is usually there, the sandwiches made for humans, not a number standing in line but today, they failed.

Worst sandwich fail ever. The lettuce was limp, the bread stale and the most pathetic sandwich I have ever had. It was suppose to have tomatoes, onions, peppers, olives and avacado.

Working in the area, I’ve frequented this POS for several years. For the most part it’s been fine and I’ve had no complaints. Today’s inexcusable experience, rest assured I will never step foot in there again. I stopped by for a quick sandwich around 11:45am, hoping to beat the high-noon mad rush. On the door was a promotion for a medium club sandwich and a medium drink for $ 6.49. I figured I’d give it a shot. Firstly I asked for it grilled. Ehhhh… strike one. That didn’t happen. Being there was a long line behind me, I didn’t want to make a big deal about it and let it go. Then I stepped up to the cash register… The girl behind the counter didn’t look like she was new. She had an engraved name badge and worked the register pretty quick trying to shuffle us out of the way as quickly as possible. She rang me up at $ 8.81 for the sandwich and medium drink. I pointed out that the sign right above the slicer and on the door stated $ 6.49. She then gave me this quick exhale of her breath and said«the sandwich itself is $ 6.99.» Ehhh… strike two. I said again while pointing to it, «The sign says $ 6.49.» She didn’t even look back to gaze at the BIGSIGN for this promotion. I didn’t want make a spectacle or allow my temper to get the better of me with all of these people looking at us, so I said, «Whatever» and handed her $ 10.00 to pay the incorrect price of $ 8.81. However, before I left the line I told her, «You should tell your manager to take down the sign. It’s false advertisement.» «I hope you have a wonderful day, sir.» Ehhh… strike three. At this point, this clueless and incoherent employee should have tried to fix the situation. I wasn’t making up the damn promotion, it was right there on the door and on the menu next to the other 18 sandwiches they offer. As for the sandwich itself… the sourdough bread was as dry as Sahara sand and the iced tea was more like water with brown coloring. There are other sandwich shops in the area. I would recommend you try them out before stepping into this store. This was the last time for me. For the clueless employee, here’s a picture of the promotional sign. You might want to review it. This place is hands-down the best sandwich in town. If you’ve never had Port of Subs, you haven’t experienced life yet. While I was living on the east coast, I did nothing but dream of Port of Subs. In fact, whenever I visited or friends from out of town visit, this is usually on of their first stops for something to eat. Definitely give this place a shot. I normally go with the #18, but go with whatever tickles your fancy. The meat is always sliced after you order it so it is never prepackaged. What a delicious place to eat.

Called in my order to avoid the lunch rush line, they had my sandwich ready when I got there and it was exactly how I ordered it, so good and much quicker…
