This place is average at best. I would say more, I just don’t think it was very special.

I’m torn between three and four stars. The pizza is good and inexpensive, but the customer service is awful. I’ve had pizza delivered twice and picked up once and on all occasions, I have felt like a burden. Also, they rarely answer the phone. I get that it’s an independent business and maybe they don’t want to or can’t afford to hire help, but a smile or a thank you would go a long way in keeping me as a customer.

I will admit that I have a few other places in town I depended on before moving over to deeper SE. Hometown is fast and has amazing prices. The pepperoni breadsticks are basically a little sauceless pizza and so good! Toppings were well placed and the right amount and they were fast and friendly. I also don’t mind cash only, as card only has turned out to be more of a hassle to me in the past. Recommended!

Fantastic crust! Thin, crispy, flaky and flavorful– definitely gilt free as far as pizzas go. I’ve ordered from Hometown a dozen times and they are always punctual and the pizza is always exactly as ordered and readily consumed! Definitely recommend this business!

If I were hammered or stoned I might like this«pizza.» Otherwise, no thanks. I ordered a pepperoni and every millimeter of the pie was covered with mediocre pepperoni. There was almost no sauce at all and minimal cheese. The dough was ok, but I ate 1 small slice and decided not to bother eating anymore. The delivery person also forgot my drink order and didn’t offer to return with it. Anyone that gives this place more than 3 stars either owns this place, works there or has no idea what pizza is supposed to taste like. I’d rather eat a paper towel.

It was a bit of a wait but wayyyy worth it. Defiantly the best pepperoni pizza I have had. Not one of those cheap tasting pizzas deffinantly made to order, what a game changer… Haha I’m in love. finally a pizza that’s inexpensive and they sprinkle Parmesan on top… It’s perfect.

This is our go-to pizza delivery place. We order delivery from these guys 1 – 2 times a month. The pizza is pretty dang good. Good sauce, a nice thin and crispy crust and pretty good quality toppings at a great price. The same lady always delivers our pizza and she even knows our dogs name and brings him a treat every time. With no delivery charge it’s easy to feel good about giving a decent tip too.

We’ve lived in the neighborhood for over a decade & this is the first Hometown Pizza order. We are sorry we waited so long! The thin crust is perfect and the amount of fresh, perfect toppings were more than any pizza we’ve had. Great service, on time and a great price with free delivery… Perfect!

Good pizza! The best we have found on this side of town. Crust is nice and thin, but not too thin, Perfect amount of cheese and affordable. Large pizza is $ 16.00 with 3 toppings. So much better than some of these $ 28.00BS pizzas that are not all that good. They deliver for free as well! New favorite pizza place in the Woodstock/Areleta hood.

The best kept secret in Portland. By far the best pizza in town! I absolutely love this place. Husband & wife duo make this place as small business as it gets. The pizza is not great it is perfect. Please never change a thing Hometown. Do yourself a favor and order up some Hometown right now!!!

I LOVE the pizza here! Thin and crispy crust is perfect! Love the blend of cheese they use. None of the ingredients I would call«gourmet» but for price who cares? They deliver to Lents, so definite plus. Delivery can back up quite a bit, especially on the weekends. I love keeping my money local, and this is definitely one avenue I regularly persue.

Hands down the best delivery pizza in town, the crust is thin and crispy, sauce is flawless, and the pizza is ALWAYS cooked to perfection! When friends come to our house from a different city they order hometowns pizza because it’s that’s good! Plus they have Very reasonable prices for what you get!

If you are a fan of pizza on the crispy side and quite light on the cheese, then come sit by me, we have pizza to eat and people to talk about behind their backs. Also, I know of a really killer place near my house. They are the epitome of a small, local business, and their pizza is wicked good. Hometown Pizza’s scope is small — they deliver but probably not much further beyond the Mt. Scott/Lents area. We always pick ours up. And you can’t eat in the store because there aren’t any seats in the waiting area. But if you’re located nearby, why would you want to? Hometown’s become a favorite go-to for evenings with football on TV and days that quickly get away from you without a chance to take your crock pot out of the cupboard. Plus, they are really inexpensive for large pies with tons of toppings, including bacon. Bacon on pizza is loooooooove. And if you don’t agree, well, I know whom I’ll be discussing during my next pizza kiki!

GREATGREATPIZZA! This is a total Ma & Pa pizza shop. Literally… we had Ma deliver our pizza. It was crunchy and just amount of greasy and good prices for what you get. Free delivery… we were crushed when we forgot they were closed on Mondays and called, we tried on Tuesday and they were closed too. Make sure to only have a craving when they are open! MUSTTRY!

Decent delivery pizza, appreciate it living as a local shop. I found the sauce to be too sweet, the crust too thin and crunchy, the sausage dry, so it’s not my cup of tea.

Excellent pizza! Great find for some SE delivery. The crust is thin and crispy. It’s not over-sauced. The toppings are quality. The cheese is nice and gooey. It has like a 8 on a pull factor(how far the cheese pulls away when you bite). Really surprised at this mom and pop shop. Have passed it a few times in the neighborhood. So support your neighborhood. Every once in a while you get a nice surprise like hometown –free delivery–

Am so excited to have this pizza near my neighborhood. For some reason they don’t show up on the Unilocal app when searching for pizza delivery in my area. It is a classic thin crust pizza and they always have reasonable delivery times. Pizza shows up hot and the ingredients are fresh. I really dislike saucy and doughy, cake crust style pizza so this pizza is up my alley. Also the woman who delivers is super nice, and I think she may be a part owner. Seems like a Mom + Pop joint so I love ordering from them.
